armyofone:
a dear friend invited us to her dad's bday. The card said 4pm. We got there 10 minutes early. The were just starting decorations. I over heard someone talking about the people who went for the goat meat are on their way. We drove around and 25 mins.... still nada happened. We zoomed away. I told hubby you can come back me I need to sleep. I heard they didn't start till 11pm and from the video, it was a very nice celebration. But me no want chop goat meat at 11pm. I don't like waiting. 4pm should be 4pm. Naija owambe they never stick to time and it's getting unattractive lately. Can you imagine after 8hrs shift , the next agenda that comes to mind is to go take off your scrubs and scrub in another Tulle ensemble to owambe till gawd knows when? 'Naija for show' as they say I can't deal jare. Reason I bolden times in invites to my parties, and I'm glad they starting to catch the drift. I start packing my bags before dawn, ile ya. |

damiso: Are there poppy police in Canada too? As in those people who insist that you must wear a poopy on your coat or jacket all November if not you don't 'appreciate' the armed forces? Its getting annoying in the UK.
I have given more than £5 to the Royal legion this month ( kids school and work charity drive) but the way the media moans and moans about prominent people who choose not to wear a poppy is annoying. Poppy police bawo now No poppy police oh as fas as I'm concerned lol but almost everyone wears that stuff including the baby sef. It just grows on you like a tradition every Nov11. kids knock on doors for donations for a poppy, you're also asked to make donations for a poppy at groceries stores checkout. How are you my dear |

You'll be dammed to know how some folks live here....Yet their country is considered Developed. Life is hard everywhere. Fkforyou: Have you ever beign to the North...? I've spent my entire life in the north and I cant seem to relate with all your assertions,Asides the 2 first class students who are guys, we are about 20 of us who graduated with second class upper in chemical engineering of which 5 were females and 4 of them were born and brought up in the North. You just make it seem as if girls over here are oppresed and helpless. |
