It may not have been an equality battle. She probably isn't/wasn't too familiar with the other wives/women/girlfriends so she just stayed put next to her man. Her man could have kinda hooked her up with one of the other wives/chicks to ease her into the clique.
Maybe she's a new wife/chick and still on the *my husband my husband* phase LOL
She's very familiar with all of us my dear , she openly expressed her opinion immediately she saw the setting, she even asked 'why is everybody not sitting together' ? (we all stared her down as in undecided) I don't want to listen to men yelling in my ears all night when I could have a warm and interesting discussion with ladies like myself.
I'm not a new wife and still do attaché with my hubby oh grin But I believe there's a place and time for everything.

We just found her attitude kinda annoying that's all.

Damiso long time sis. How's Kumon going hahaha, Jesu lo ni emi mi cheesy

So I don't want to open a thread but want to discuss regarding our sisters and thirst for equality in EVERY AREAS and I mean every gaddam aspects in everyday lives.. ARE WE TAKING IT TOO FAR?? Mmm

At a Nigerian party, so men are somewhere screaming their heads off while discussing Buhari and Mesi or whatever that soccer guy's name was. While the ladies were somewhere else all caught up in fashion/kids/work/recipie discussions (which was indeed very interesting) .. this particular lady on the other hand was hell bent on staying with her man all night, grinning(fake) at every noise made by these group of men... Guessing she eventually stayed true to herself and left the men with a frown. So after several persuasion from her to leave with her man, he said no. So she left.

What do you make of this?

Some people have this assertiveness when it comes to this Equalty thingy, some of us live our lives like every average joe.. So gotta ask for clarification, Do you find the above party/gathering setting BELLITLING ?
Family › Re: Domestic Violence Awareness. by Ewuro4: 10:37am On Oct 26, 2015
My Role in my area? .... Lots.. but like Yoruba adage says; only God will reward my silent effort. And one good deserves another. Ma jere ohun ti moba fowomishe grin (pardon me)

Well as y'all aware how incriminating divorce is veiwed in our society & how the abused-turned-single -parents are segregated in churches especially coz 'God hates divorce'... we (women) designed a silent group as a medium to include single parents to be part of church members as opposed to just invite them over which they always decline to avoid malicious questions from the crowd.

.....

I went through many posts and all I can say is 'she/he who wears the shoes knows where it pinch', so , deliberations as to who, where how and what, precipitates abuse in a relationship cannot be pinpoint. It's not black and white as we all think.

My prayer is that, God should have mercy on them and give them that wisdom and swift sense , open their blurred eyes to be able to leave when the situation becomes unbearable before it's too late.

Please this girl is only 11
I have a 12 year old daughter too so I know exactly what they can and cannot do
You are expecting her to reason like an adult . . .she is a kid

By the grace of God, you will have your own kids too and one day when that girl is 11, you will look back and say, so my own child can do this grin grin

Start again please
You sound like you really want to make a positive difference in this kids life
You need to be the adult here
You pull small, you push small
I go to my daughters room and lie on her bed and we both watch tv together . . .at the same time I am telling her that her room is untidy and where to place things.
Kids need Love, direction and firmness.
The adult needs to balance it
The adult also has to remember that they are dealing with a kid whose brain and physical features are still in development. There is no way my daughter can clean dishes as well as I can. Her hands are much smaller for a start and the sink is much higher for her (most probably more uncomfortable) than it is for me
shey you get what I am saying
Hehe I didn't read this before.. Thanks sis for the kind words. It can be frustrating but raising a twin/teen requires a truckload of patience.

My bro/sis,

Let's not delve into an argument about this please. I am not a Muslim but I admire Muslim men who keep only one wife. Men like our President MB and others (some friends and colleagues of mine).

However, for those who choose to marry more than one wife, Islam allows this practice.

That's the reason I asked the op what faith does her belong to? If the op's hubby is a Muslim, she has very little or nothing at all to do to dissuade him from marrying another woman.

But if he isn't one, then I see no reason why she should continue in the union.
You've got too much time in your hands...

Thanks, she is in her house warming up. Did u read her disobedience n disrespect attitude. Some 11 years old look after their siblings properly Check with some female children. When u beat ur child with cane or wire people call it discipline but a WARD it's called maltreatment . She leaks milk n milo. IMAGINE just two persons n it's not our regular breakfast yet the second container is down. I was grooming her to be organise but it seems I was. ...
I didn't read it and Infact I won't bother coz I understand your plight and intention.

@bold That's ^^ the thing, you made the right call, just send her back to her parents and help with whatever you can afford. It's best that way.

A distant relative visited for couple of months and insisted I cancel babysitter visit during her stay. I ended up throwing her out when she almost tranformed all my kids ears into a cinnamon twist. You can't raise/chastise another's child to their parents satisfaction.

How many times I've asked my own child of same thing over and over without result and numerous excuses .. 'It skipped my mind mom' or 'I don't know mom' shocked shocked OMG , it's like something entered her since she hit that two digit age. I'm taking it slow w her now coz I don't wanna die young.

why not name these so many methods, that's why we have a thread like this
Sorry, OP didn't ask for that.

But if you insist..

Get a high chair w tray, babies love to feed themselves .
finger food like : Boiled macaroni, ground beef, soft cut up chicken & hotdogs , dry cereals( Cheerios), boiled/steamed veggies (carrots, celery, turnips) & fruits. Etc

*Meal replacement is a good idea too, it's sweet, irresistible and most babies/kids looove it.

Babies don't need too much food at a time, their tummy is still growing .

I always tell my kids they don't have to finish their meals coz I serve healthy snack in between mealtimes.

*Taking Bigger kids grocery shopping to pick their own food choice is a great idea too.

twizzie:
My toddler is almost 30 months and a very picky eater... He is under weight as he is like in the 10th percentile in weight and height. He practically wants to live on fluids (Mostly milk) and sometimes cereal... He likes fries and pastries too but we all know that isn't really healthy... We have tried so many things with little result... He is presently on Well Baby Multivitamins...
Suggestions on fattening foods and recipes will help please.
Thanks!
All normal. And you're lucky he likes some food so make healthier version of them wink

Fries aren't bad, you may as well make homemade fries and some nuggets to go with that.

Read Jessica Seinfield's 'Deceptively Delicious' book and see how pastries are transformed into wholesome protein. It's worth the try.

In addition to multivitamins , add Pediasure (meal replacement) to his meals, it can be consumed alone as its fortified and considered a meal on its own. All my kids prefer this to whole milk for midday & bedtime snack.

Good luck mom.

Happened this morning on our way back from church..

I tuned the radio to my fav station & Justin Beiber came on , my girls yelled NO at once , I asked why?

The eldest one said I should change the station that the dude's no good,

funny part; that Beiber has a parole officer following him around even to the loo.

I stopped reading your post after first paragraph.

OP Sweetheart .. 11yrs old are mostly untidy so don't take it personal. thought I was doing something wrong as a parent until I approached other moms with similar age groups. It's a disaster I tell you. So you either live with her flaws and correct her with love until she outgrows it or just send her back to avoid losing it on her.

My throat hurts as I type you have no idea embarassed

Some children will just not eat, mothers who practice this need to be careful sha to prevent choking the child.
Aren't you the same poster who made same statement on similar a thread in past?

Please we shouldn't encourage this practice, it's a dangerous form of restraint and should be abolished. There are many many methods of getting food into children without force.
