After Nike received 3 million pre-orders, Nigeria’s
World Cup kit was officially released for sale on Friday,
June 1. Outside NikeTown in London, fans lined down
Oxford Street and round the corner to purchase the kit.
The kit, which was available for sale online quickly
sold out with many buyers unable to add to their cart.
As a result of the demand, fans flocked to Nike Town
opposite Oxford Circus tube station in hope of having
a jersey of their own.

Nike UK also said there were no plans to restock.
The home jersey which goes for about 41,000 naira in
Nigeria was first worn in the friendly against Poland in
March. The home jersey was worn again in the match
against DR Congo.

However, fake replicas of the jersey has flooded the
market before the official launch with reports claiming
about 3 million of the fake jersey was already on sale.

Former Abia state governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, says
while he was a member of PDP, he was aware that
politicians eliminated their rivals and other
electorates so they can secure their victory during
elections.


Kalu who was governor from 1999 to 2007, defected
to APC in November 2016. He disclosed this while
addressing journalists in Abuja during the South-East
APC caucus meeting in Abuja yesterday May 31st.


He said this while reacting to the peaceful APC
congress that took place in the South East recently.

A Caucasian woman has called on the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to leave Yahoo
boys alone and stop hunting them for their cyber
crimes.


In a video shared online, the woman said they don't
mind sending their money to Yahoo boys because
they make them happy. She added that it is the duty

This is Justice Adebukola Banjoko of the Federal
Capital Territory High Court who found former governor
of Taraba State, Reverend Jolly Nyame guilty for
criminal breach of trust on Wednesday.


She was so appalled at Nyame’s brazen theft of public
money that she bellowed: “There’s no moral
justification for the level of outright theft, and the Court
must therefore, impose a statement, hopefully as a
deterrent to other public officers, who may be similarly
inclined”

“From the totality of facts before the court, Nyame
approved N250 million for purchase of stationery, but is
found to have no intention to fulfil the purpose,”
Justice Banjoko held.

Justice Banjoko also noted that Nyame, a clergyman,
as governor of Taraba, breached the trust reposed in
him by the indigenes of the state, when he
misappropriated N250 million which he approved
purportedly for the purchase of stationery for the state.
In a ruling which lasted more than 4 hours, Justice
Banjoko found Nyame guilty of 16 counts, bordering
on criminal breach of public trust.

Nyame had during the trial denied knowledge of
Salman Global Ventures Limited. But Justice Banjoko
disagreed, saying that, “immediately the fund was
released, his verbal instruction was given, that N180
million be paid to Salman Global Ventures”.

The judge further added that: “the audacity of the
defendant to divert N180 million from the N250 to the
company, shows that he had more than a casual
interest and so can’t hide behind a screen”.

“There was no evidence to show that Salman Global
Ventures bid for any contracts,” the trial judge said,
noting that within five weeks, Salman Global Ventures
received over N300 million from the state coffers.


The angry judge sentenced him to a total of 28 years
in prison, 14 years of which was for criminal breach of
trust.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC
Kaduna office, today May 31, 2018 arraigned the
former Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mukhtar
Ramalan Yero; former Minister of State, Nuhu Somo
Wya; former People's Democratic Party, PDP, Kaduna
State Chairman, Abubakar Haruna Gaya and the former
Secretary to the State Government, Hamza Ishaq.

They were arraigned before Justice S.M Shuaibu of the
Federal High Court Kaduna on a Four Count charge
bordering on Criminal Conspiracy, Bribery, Money
Laundering and Criminal Diversion of Funds to the
tune of N7000,000,000 (Seven Hundred Million Naira)
only.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges. Lead
prosecution counsel, Joshua Saidi then prayed the
Court for a date for commencement of trial, while
remanding the accused persons in prison custody.

Lead defence counsel, Yunus Ustaz Usman (SAN)
made application for bail orally but Justice Shuaibu
refused. The Court ruled that formal applications for
bail of the accused must be filed. He therefore
adjourned the matter to the 6th of June, 2018 for
hearing of bail application. He also ruled that the
accused be remanded in prison custody.

Their arraignment followed a petition alleging criminal
diversion of One Hundred and Fifteen Million Dollars
equivalent to Twenty Three Billion, Two Hundred and
Ninety Nine Million, Seven Hundred and Five
Thousand Naira (N 23, 299,705,000.00) NNPC
missing funds some years ago by the former Minister
of Petroleum Resources Mrs Diezani Alison Madueke.
The missing sum was later traced to have funded the
bribing of officials across the 36 state of the
federation for the 2015 presidential election through
Fidelity Bank.

Investigations into the case has so far revealed that
the over Twenty Billion Naira was wired to some top
PDP and INEC officials across the country which was
specifically disbursed through various branches of the
Fidelity Bank with Kaduna State benefitting over N800
million (Eight Hundred Million Naira) only in two
instalments of N700,000,000 and N190,000,000.

The sum was received and acknowledged by Nuhu
Somo Waya, Abubakar Gaya Haruna and Hamza Ishaq
on behalf of the State for onward sharing to INEC staff
spread across the 23 Local Government Areas in
Kaduna State.

Count one of the charge reads: "that you, Mukhtar
Ramalan Yero (Whilst being the Executive Governor of
Kaduna State ), Nuhu Somo Wya (Whilst being a former
Minister of the Fedearl Republic of Nigeria), Ishaq
Hamza (whilst being the Secretary to the Kaduna State
Government) and Abubakar Gaya Haruna (Whilst being
the Chairman PDP Kaduna State Chapter), sometime in
2015 in Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this
Honourable Court (Federal High Court) did conspire
amongst yourselves to commit a crime to wit: indirectly
taking possession of the of N700, 000, 000 (seven
hundred million Naira) which you ought to have known
forms part of unlawful activity to wit: bribery and
thereby committed an offence contrary to Section
18(a)of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2011
(as ammended) in 2012 and punishable under Section
15(3) of the Same Act."

Punch Nigeria Limited, is dead, Punch Metro reports.
He died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 6.05am after
a heart surgery at the First Cardiology Consultants,
Ikoyi, Lagos at the age of 60.

A mum-of-two claims she has been left unable to sleep
after capturing a terrifying apparition of a ghostly
child standing behind her son in the woods - with a
hand on his shoulder.

Laura captured the chilling image when visiting
Plessey Woods Country Park in Northumberland with
her family during the sunny bank holiday Monday.

When Laura's daughter Charlotte Hill, 15, and Byrin
Watson, nine, wanted to climb a large tree with their
cousin Jack, 16, Laura decided to take some photos of
the fun.

However the medical receptionist was left 'terrified'
when she examined the photo ans saw the face of
another child had appeared behind Byrin - despite no
one else being in the area.

While originally sceptical of the paranormal, Laura
says the picture has convinced her otherwise as it is
so clear.

She's planning a return to the wood as the figure has
now sparked her interest in ghosts - although admits
she hopes the apparition doesn't 'follow them home'.
Laura, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, said: 'It's very
unusual and everyone is really freaked out. Me and my
daughter couldn't even go to sleep last night because
we were so scared.




'My husband is on night shifts and I was alone and I
was like 'oh God'. I was terrified in case anything had
followed us back.

'I've had people on our Facebook saying they are going
to send me prayers.

'I didn't believe in anything like that until I saw this for
myself.'

Laura had been enjoying the sun with her mum, dad
and sister, along with her two children and her niece
and nephew when they decided to walk the dogs after
finishing their picnic.

It was on the way back that the youngsters came
across the large tree and began to climb it - prompting
Laura to get out her camera.

When she zoomed in on the picture on her computer
Laura Watson noticed the ghostly figure
Laura said: 'There was no one behind the tree, my
daughter or my nephew would have seen them. There
was nobody there.

'There was only us there. It's very, very bizarre.
'When I got home I put the picture on the computer and
when it zoomed in and I was able to see it closer, I
thought what is that thing behind Byrin?

'When I zoomed in further I could see a face. But I was

'It looks like a child to me, I don't know if it's a girl or
a boy. But I can see this face and it looks like the hand

'Some people have said I must have Photoshopped it as
they can't believe it.. But I've explained that I wouldn't
even have a clue how to do anything like that.

'It was literally taken on phone. I'm rubbish with
technology and I'm just not the kind of person to do
that.

'There's no way that is anything but what it is - you
can basically see a face.

'For someone to be that close to my son, if it was
another child, he would have noticed them.

'I would have seen them and I wouldn't have taken a
picture with another kid behind him.'

Many have speculated on what the figure could be -
with some suggesting it could be the spirit of a boy
who drowned in the woods years ago.

woods but some people are saying that many moons
ago a young boy drowned in the river. You don't know

'People are asking if Byrin had a twin and if he died

in my family so it couldn't be anyone that I know.

'It certainly isn't something that I'm familiar with. I've
never, ever experienced anything like it in my life.

'It was just a normal day. It was lovely hot day and we
were just having fun.

'We had the dogs with us and they were not acting
strange or anything like that, because I know dogs can
have a sixth sense. But they were normal.

'No one was any the wiser that anything was actually
there until I saw the picture.

'I sent it to my husband as he was at work and he said
it was very freaky.

'My sister said 'oh my god, Laura, what on earth is
that?' She agreed there was nobody else around us so
it literally couldn't have been anything else.
'A lot of people say it looks like a girl with pigtails but
it doesn't to me, it looks like a boy. That's what it
looks like to me.


'I would love to go back to the woods, it's not put me
off at all. I think it's dead fascinating now.
'Obviously I just hoped it's not hanging around us as I
don't want that feeling that something's with us.'

Thousands of Christians from the state of New Mexico and beyond have been flocking to the city of Hobbs to witness what many are considering a real-life miracle – a statue of the Virgin Mary crying tears that allegedly smell like roses.

Churchgoers at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, in Hobbs, first noticed the scented tears coming out of the statue’s eyes last Sunday, during Mass. Father Jose ‘Pepe’ Segura said that a parishioner informed him about the bizarre phenomenon, and he himself had people wipe the statue’s face clean, only to see the tears flowing down the Virgin Mary’s face again. “That’s when I saw that she really was crying,” Father Segura told the Las Cruces Sun Sentinel. “I think it’s a reminder for all of us to get closer to God and to stop being violent.”

As word of the alleged miracle spread among parishioners, more and more people came to the church to witness it for themselves. Visitors started coming from all over New Mexico and neighboring states, so the church stayed open round the clock. We’ve seen cases of weeping religious statues before, but what really sets this one apart from the others is that the Virgin Mary statue is made of bronze, so it’s technically impossible for it to retain any fluids, let alone an oily substance that reportedly smells like roses.

Ricardo Flores Kastanis, the sculptor who created the statue at a New Mexico foundry, was recently interviewed by a local news station and said that none of the statues he has made in the past have ever wept before, and that he doesn’t have an explanation for why this one is doing just that.

“I couldn’t tell you. I mean, I think that faith is an issue. Technically, of course, the metal doesn’t hold water,” Kastanis said. “If you see my Catholic side, of course it’s beautiful. But if you see the technical side, there’s no explanation that I can find. This is completely, something that I’ve never seen before.” Last Thursday, officials of the Diocese of Las Cruces New Mexico arrived in Hobbs to investigate the reported miracle. The church was closed for four hours, while experts inspected the statue and collected tear samples, but it might take a long time before we get some clear explanation.

Church officials will have to x-ray the statue, interview witnesses and dig as far back into the past as possible to establish whether this is a real miracle or a hoax. The whole process wcould take years, but those Christians who have already witnessed the statue’s tears, don’t really care about the investigation. To them, this is already a true miracle. “This is a miracle, there is nothing more. We know there is a God,” a woman told reporters. “In the past, when I see this, I see this on TV. We don’t see it in Hobbs, New Mexico. Not until now. I believe it’s a miracle.” “It is a miracle, nothing short of a miracle,” another parishioner at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church said. “You can even get a sense of her presence. You can smell roses in her tears. I’ve got a tissue that I’ve taken, wiped from her mantle.”

MASSOB had declared May 22 to celebrate the
rededication of Biafra by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike at

It was gathered that the MASSOB members were
arrested at Osisioma Ngwa junction along the Enugu
-Port Harcourt expressway when Police patrol teams
numbering over 15 fired tear gas canister at them.
MASSOB Leader for Abia South zone,Fred
Onyenaucheya, who condemned the arrest of the
Biafra activists, insisted that MASSOB will not be
cowed by the clampdown on its members.

He said,” MASSOB is a non violent organization.We
are shocked that Police could tear gas and arrest our
members who were only celebrating the rededication
of the new Biafra. As at now ,over 20 of our
members are receiving medical attention for injuries
they sustained during the Police attack .

Even our female members were not spared.We have
about 50 MASSOB members arrested by the
Police.This is a grave infringement of our right to
freedom of movement.But we assure the Nigerian
government that no arrest,detention or any other
form of intimidation will stop us from actualizing an
independent state of Biafra.”

He called on the Police to immediately release and
apologize to the detained MASSOB members as they
did not commit any crime.

Efforts to get the reaction of the Abia State
Commissioner of Police,Mr.Anthony Ogbizi, was
unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.

The lawmaker representing Delta state central, Senator
Ovie Omo-Agege, is currently before a Senate joint ad
hoc committee of the National Assembly investigating
the mace theft.

Recall that the embattled lawmaker allegedly led thugs
to the senate chamber on April 18 to steal the mace
while plenary was ongoing, in an incident which
happened days after he was suspended for 90
legislative days.

A court had overturned his suspension and he resumed
at the upper legislative chamber last week.

A Nigerian man identified as Ayo Bamidele, has taken
to his Twitter page (@iodigital_cable) to share a brief
of his success story on the social networking platform.


The young man who lives in New Jersey, USA, revealed
that his mother had to beat him after he revealed he
was going to study Political science against her choice
of Medicine or law.


He revealed that he just bagged a Bachelors Degree, a
Masters Degree with distinctions, and he also got a
full time offer with multi-national companies like
Amazon and Microsoft.

"Five years ago, I told my mom I was going to major in Political Science knowing she wanted medicine or law. She pulled over and gave me a quick two piece combo.

Mo Fayose, the sister of Ekiti state governor, Ayo
Fayose, recently took to the streets of Woolwich in
England to distribute leaflets and posters of a lady
identified as Daisy Ajisefini(far left) who is allegedly
having an affair with her friend, Yemi's husband
known as Kashif Da Flash.


Mo says Kashif and Daisy started as Business
partners until they began to have an affair. Mo says
Kashif has now abandoned his wife, Yemi, and their
two children. She says she is on a mission to ensure
Daisy leaves Kashif. On her Facebook page, Mo wrote

The murder suspects recently arrested by the Kwara
State Police Command in Ilorin last week and flown
to Abuja, have named the Senate President, Bukola
Saraki, Kwara State governor, Abdulfattah Ahmed, as
two of the men that sponsor their activities.



According to Sahara Reporters, the suspects who
have been transferred from the state to Abuja for
further investigation, named the Senate President and
Governor Ahmed in the confessional statements
made to the Police. The suspects said they have
been on the payroll of the Kwara State Government
and Mandate Office of Mr. Saraki.



One of the suspects and leader of the killer squad is
the son of Salihu Woru, the self-appointed
spokesman of Magajis in Ilorin Emirate. He told the
police that he was placed on salary Grade Level 16,
while his colleagues are on Levels 10 to 15.


The suspects also admitted that they were being paid
from the Office of the Senate President who
also gave them Toyota Corolla cars a few months
ago as a way of securing the loyalty ahead of the
2019 elections.

The suspects in their statement, said those marked
on their list for execution before the election
are Kayode Oyin, Yinka Aluko, Baba Rex, one
Mustapha and one Ogunlowo.



A Police source told SaharaReporters that bank
statements retrieved from the suspects indicated that
they received money on a monthly basis from Mr.
Saraki and the Kwara State government and that they
all had healthy bank balances running into millions
of naira.

The Senate President and Mr. Ahmed may soon be
invited by the Police. Both men have accused the
Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Lawal Idris, of
planning to frame them for murder.

On Wednesday, the senate president raised an alarm
during plenary that there was a sinister plan by the
Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris to implicate
him using some arrested murder suspects.
