I've got nothing against you o, dont get me wrong. But I had to protect my reputation over my observation that I posted, and requested that they be proved. |
Katsumoto:You are just ranting. You are the one trying to change my stance which is, as long as you are yet to disprove it, that is where you are usually seen. Who care what you post in the child boards? It takes me several weeks to even check those boards. I only peep there whenever the main politics board is uninteresting. I still maintain biafra issues are as far you can go. It is your onus to strongly disprove that or go to hell. |
Katsumoto:Dude, quit crying like a paranoid little sissy. I've got no beef for you. I judge people based on what they post here. What you fail to disprove is if most of your posts are not in biafra-related issues. I'm not dictating to you where to post, but you cant fault the observation made about you. |
^^^ What do you expect? That's how far his brains can think. |
jaygetta:How? Do you have problems with comprehending simple statements. What did he say here? Sharing.our belief that theNo wonder Banjo had a problem in understanding a letter that doesn't take you 15 minutes to read through. It seems it runs in your vein. Almajiris of the south. |
udezue:A rebuke coming from a brother. Well, accepted in good faith. But one thing I've learnt in life, bro, is not to throw my trust around. |
So, jason, what's your point? We have the material now to analyse. |
OJUKWU'S LETTER TO BANJO From: The Military Governor, Republic of Biafra Enugu, 22nd August, 1967. My dear Victor, 1. For some time now, you and I have been discussing the circumstances that have led to the current and inevitable disintegration of what was the Federation of Nigeria. We have been fully convinced that the aim of the Hausa/Fulani complex has ever been, and will ever remain, the total domination of every other part of what was known as the Federation of Nigeria. It is impossible to forget that the crisis which led to the army take over in January 1966, the coup of the Northern soldiers led by Gowon in July 1966, the wholesale and indiscriminate massacre of the people of what is now Biafra- and, to a less degree, the people of the Mid-West and West, including the Yorubas, were all the direct result of Hausa/Fulani attempt to subjugate and use as tools, the gallant people of Western Nigeria namely the Yorubas. We do not need to remind ourselves of the heavy losses in life and property suffered by the Yoruba people in their fight for justice and freedom during 1965. 2. Sharing.our belief that the people of Yorubaland have a right to live a life of equality and self-respect and justice free of domination and dictatorship from any quarter, you have both identified with the cause of the Biafra struggle for survival and expressed your determination to see the people of Yorubaland freed from Hausa/Fulani domination. We, the people of Biafra, for our part are willing and have decided to give you and the people of Yorubaland every assistance to achieve your aim. 3. After clearing the whole question with my Executive Council, I, as the Commander in Chief of the Biafran Armed Forces, have decided to place at your disposal Biafran forces, for the liberation of Yorubaland on the following clear conditions:- (i) You will have nothing to do with the Military Administrator in the Mid-West Territory during your sojourn there prior to your move to the West. (ii) The willingness and preparedness of Biafra to assist any part of the former Federation of Nigeria wishing and willing to liberate itself from the Hausa/Fulani domination, does not in anyway whatever imply any inclination on her part to compromise her sovereignty or preserve what remains of the defunct Federation of Nigeria. In other words, our sovereignty and break with Nigeria is irrevocable. Nothing must, therefore be said or done by you or any member of the Liberation Army to give a contrary impression. (iii) Biafra is determined to maintain and safeguard her sovereignty and ensure that her integrity and safety are never again threatened. (iv) Biafran troops will, after the liberation of the Yorubaland, remain in that territory only for as long as we in Biafra consider it necessary for the Yorubas to consolidate their position and sovereignty against any external threat. (v) On the liberation of the Yorubaland, you will be appointed as the Military Governor of that territory. (vi) The liberation of Western Nigeria will be a prelude to the liberation of all Yorubas up to the River Niger and the severance of all connections between the West and the North at Jebba. (vii) During the period of Biafrans troops’ presence in your territory, all political measures, statements or decrees shall be subject to the approval, in writing by myself or on my authority. (viii) Should our troops arrive and liberate Lagos, the government of the Republic of Biafra reserves the right to appoint a Military administrator for the territory. Such an Administrator will remain in office until a merger of that territory with Yorubaland is effected by Biafran troops. (ix) As soon as possible after your appointment as the Military Governor of Western Nigeria and separation of that territory from Nigeria, you and I must meet to discuss: (a) the duration of stay of Biafran troops in your territory; (b) the areas and subjects of cooperation between the liberated sovereign states of Western Nigeria, or by what name it may call itself, and Biafra. 4. I do not need to remind you that Biafra regards all Yoruba as friends. As such everything should be done, to ensure the minimum force and loss of life are involved in achieving the objective of liberation. 5. It is essential, in order to avoid misunderstanding or confusion, that all subsequent requests for support be formally made to me by you in writing. 6. Will you please signify in writing, your acceptance of the above conditions so that you may leave for Western Nigeria and lead the army of liberation. Yours very sincerely, signed Lt. Col. Odumegwu Ojukwu, Military Governor and Commander in Chief of Biafran Armed Forces. www.dawodu.com/biafra1.htm |
jason12345:What's in the letter that's hard for you to understand? |
jamace:^^^lol. |
ndu_chucks:^^^ And no igbo gives a bleep about you either. Ewu ikameka. |
@Katsumoto The tactic deployed by sending Banjo to Lagos to capture Gowon could have changed the tide of the war, but he screwed up by invading the Midwest, and spending unnecessary time arguing back and forth with Ojukwu. Finally, when he decided to continued, he got to Ore and started negotiating cowardly with Obasanjo. He also lost 40 miles of territory without a fight. Banjo was part of the problem why the Nigerian side gained an early upper hand over Biafra. |
Onlytruth:Yes, I quite agree. In 2015, Ndigbo might be the people to beat if the likes of Uwechue dont eat their words. Remember he said it would be SS to SE transition. What Ndigbo need to do in the meantime is to build their political pedigree to enable them contest on a national level. Let's start rallying around that point, grab our destiny in our own hands, and stop looking out for handouts. |
Blazay: Blazay:It's hilarious how you contradict yourself in a space of 5 minutes. Your knowledge of history is as warped as that of a fourth grader. Maybe you also need to take the advice I gave earlier to someone in the same boat as you: You need to attend an adult class. |
@Aloy Emeka So in your honest opinion you think that why there's so many Almajiris in the North is because they have held on to power for 38 years? Whether the North ruled or not has nothing to do with Almajiris. FYI, that social menace is somehow linked with religion. Many of them believe they were born to be beggars and Almajiris. So i dont get the correlation in your argument. |
It's unfortunate that some of our Igbo brothers seem to be falling in line with the way our mockers want us to exist. PLEASE stop putting up that cheap shot at publicity of an international airport as a reason to support Jonathan. He did nothing extraordinary. The plans to expand that airport had been signed and sealed, as far back as 2003, only awaiting the release of funds to deliver it. Within the short spell that Jonathan has had so far, the SS, specifically bayelsa, has got 2 federal projects. Yet, we are having heavenly feelings over just one approval of an already existing project in the SE. This is really annoying! For some of us who keep asking why Igbos want to lose sleep over the presidency, I'll ask you this question: Why is the North losing sleep, forming all sorts of consensus committtee and vehemently scheming various plans to get their own a person of northern extraction into Aso villa? This is where the difference lies between those who call the shots and those who unconsciously consider themselves what their mockers want them to be(i.e second-class citizens). For the sake of our dignity, let's stop underestimating ourselves. |
chyz:You honestly think so? It's not yet uhuru though for johnny boy. Nothing stops Ndigbo from producing a President anytime soon. |
The best thing that would happen to Ndigbo is if they stay away from this entity called Good luck Jonathan. A man who has consistently avoided giving his word is not the kind of person to be trusted. He finds it difficult to tell Igbos his programmes, but was quick to tell the northerners he will be handing over power to them in 2015, yet he doesn't believe in zoning. Who is fooling who? The only persons he can deceive in Igboland are Uwechue and his likes. I'll rather give my vote to Saraki. |
bk.babe97y:Fool. It's redundant to add an exclamation mark after a question mark. Mumu. Take my advice, and start a night school! Your case is pathetic. |
^^^ You are a bloody slave. And who are you to think you understand the English Language better than I do? Fool. |
baby.me: baby.me:lol. igbo |
Inked_Nerd:Yes, i live in Nigeria. In Abuja at the moment, but did most of growing up/schooling in Lagos. @post. I'll love to see translations from other clans too, to beat the ones given. I think they are quite short and one-word commands though. |
ChinenyeN:I thought you knew, ChinenyeN. A bu nwafor ngwa. My Igbo is average though. My old folks did a not-too-good job on me. @Chukwudi01 The translations i gave were Ngwa variants. I guessed you should be speaking a southern Igbo dialect(Imo and Abia) from the examples you gave yourself which i felt would be closer to my dialect. |
alj harem:You want claim better thing. Who dash you Igbo? You are not Igbo, my friend. I think you are better suited being an Ewu Awusa/Desert rat. |
Onlytruth:It's not original. |
Inked_Nerd:Hi, Inky. I couldn't be better. You? Is your dog Igbo? @chukwudi01 Dude, never mind me. Was only joking. Sit-Noruo (odo) Lay down-Jaruo Stay-Noji Fetch-Ga weta Shake hand-Naka *My spellings are not 100% correct, I hope you get the gist* |
chyz:Dont mind the Ewu Awusa Kanuri |
I guess that his attempt to bleep yorubas' backside by his recent 'compliments' didn't turn out well. lol |
bk.babe97y:If only you could use half of the time you spent on this forum to attend a night school, you'd had known how to spell better. Were the 'innocent igbo families' the ones who pulled the shenanigans? |
Dude, i understand your enthusiasm for igbo affairs, but i must admit i find many of your threads too crude and irritating. I know you are new, and with time, you'll get more subtle. |
