@post. If the north and the west had not orchestrated the genocidal killing of innocent igbo families, there wouldn't have been any biafra. |
I admire the ogonis, my favorite minorities. I see them as friends both in peace and in war. I might learn your language if i got time on my hands. |
@post. You should have taught it igbo from the onset. It would have grown up to be a nice igbo dog. Old dogs cant learn new tricks goes the old saying. Anyway, you need patience and time, it might adapt. lol. |
All scammers will eat their rice without stew this Xmas in Jesus' name. ![]() |
^^^ Not all northerners as hausa. There are over 50+(to be modest)ethnic groups in the north. Hausas are just one of them. |
Dude, beware of skinheads. |

The truth of the matter is that most of this northern zoning guys have a plan B in the event of GJ picking up the PDP ticket. This option is to support another party with a northern as it's flag bearer, presumably Buhari or Ribadu. |
Speculations that some of the recently arrived Direct Data Capture Machines for voters registration may have gotten missing in transit has been denied by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The commission said yesterday that the speculation was a mere fiction. Yesterday, speculations were rife that some of the machines had disappeared from the suppliers in Lagos. Reacting to the speculation of the missing DDCMs which are to be deployed to the 36 states including the Federal Capital Territory scheduled in January, INEC chairman's Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kayode Idowu said that there was no truth in the speculation. "It is mere fiction. It is not possible," Idowu said on phone. The return of the commission's chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega and other officials to the commission's headquarters in Abuja after an official tour of foreign countries sparked off a buzz in activities. Expectedly, administrative activities and logistical preparations were stepped up after a lull that followed the absence of the commission's boss and key officers. Meanwhile a 'no parking' order is currently being enforced within the premises of the commission. Sources said the parking restriction is being put in place in preparation of the hundred of vehicles and DDCMs which will be delivered any time from now. www.leadershipeditors.com/ns/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20941:edegbe-odemwingie-abuja&catid=16:headline-news&Itemid=102 |
Are these foregleams of what to expect in 2011? I hope JEGA and his team are prepared. |
The National Convention Committee of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has cancelled the ward & local government council congresses held on the 2nd and the 6th of December respectively in both Kwara and Taraba states. In addition the National Convention Committee has dissolved the executive committees of the party in the two states with immediate effect. A statement issued by the National Convention Committee Chairman, His Excellency, Dr. Chris Ngige, after a meeting of the Committee in Benin City, in the early hours of Thursday, said the dates for fresh ward, local government and state congresses in the two affected states would be announced later. It said caretaker committees are to be put in place to steer the affairs of the party pending the conduct of ward, local government and state congresses in the states, in accordance with the party's guidelines. According to the statement, the congresses in Kwara state had to be cancelled as armed thugs carted away all the party registers, which are like the voter's register and without which elections cannot be successfully conducted on Friday the 3rd of December at the party headquarters in Ilorin Kwara state. The matter is currently being investigated by the police. In Taraba, the National Convention Committee said, there was no level playing ground for all the stakeholders during the congresses of the 2nd and 6th of December. The Committee said that since the ACN is a party that prides itself on fairness, justice and equity, the decision was taken to restore confidence in the minds of everyone and in furtherance of the party's ethos. Meanwhile, ACN's National Convention, billed to hold in Benin City, Edo State, on Dec. 16th, has been shifted to Dec. 21st out of respect for Gov. Adams Oshiomhole, who lost his wife, Clara, on Tuesday. The venue of the convention remains the same. www.huhuonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2382:acn-cancels-congresses-in-kwara-taraba-shifts-national-convention&catid=89:finance&Itemid=379 |
lol. The northern consensus candidate wanna-be under fire. |
^^^ It seemed the public hearing was a charade after all, since the NASS still went ahead to pass the controversial bill. With the likes of Mark, it appears Nigeria has a long, long way to go as a country. |
Just to give the house a review of what went down at the public hearing on this bill organized by the NASS. jamace: Members of the public andwww.thewillnigeria.com/politics/6724-NEC-Membership-Stakeholders-Boo-NASS-Critics-Are-Ignorant---Mark.html |
deji2009:thanks for the response. The make is DELL. I cant get the model. The OS is windows XP. The screen is ok, only it tends to boot, and will continue repeating the process without starting. |
It is better you allow them to offer any advice they have for you publicly, so it can be scrutinized by members of the house, before they scam you privately. Be warned. |
Who gave you an invitation to come to bahamas? Is he a citizen of bahamas, or a nigerian? |
Pls my system refuse to boot, what do i do? |
I wonder the kind of law makers we have in Nigeria. Anyway, there's a 0.000000001% possibility to find a honorable member of the PDP. I can not still fathom why these people would still go ahead to pass this bill after there was a resounding NO by members of the public at the public hearing organised by this same NASS. I know that Jonathan who can stop this madness would be happy with the recent development. The only hope we have now is stopping these self-serving legislators is through the courts. I hope that the likes of Olisa Agbakoba, a champion of the masses, will take the NASS to the cleaners at the courts like he's always done recently. I wonder what Nigeria did to be punished with these sets of people in government. |
chyz:I dont think that is quite correct. Igbos have only produced a vice President once, and you think that the change Igbos need is to get an interior minister? I dont really get this Ekwueme screwing part. How did he screw up? In the 90's he was gunning for the presidency, not for a VP. Have you heard of atiku or IBBIBB had worked with notable Igbos during his tenure. .You read about theYou and I know that the hausa-fulani are not the biggest ethnic group, but that figure can not be changed for now, at least not by Jonathan. He doesn't have the balls for such. |
@chyz. The plans for that airport has been in the pipelines since 2003 with all its architectural designs mapped out. It was only awaiting the release of funds. There's nothing extraordinary about this. What else has he done? Remember, his home state already has 2 federal projects. |
chyz:I dont think this Jonathan option is the best for Ndigbo in the long run. I've not seen anything that Jonathan has done that is out of the ordinary. Let's push one of our own into the presidential villa-a place where nobody of Igbo extraction has lived for over 19 years, yet we're one of the dominant ethnics. It's about maintaining our relevance as one of the tripod. Others are playing dirty to be there, which shows that it's important to be there. The long and short of it is that the Ekwueme option of aligning with the north to produce an Igbo VP is the best for Ndigbo now. |
chyz:Bros, So you really think that only GEJ has the God-given special powers to do this. ![]() whyWhat's the guaranty that all these are not for getting votes, and that they'll continue after he gets into power. See, there are deeper issues. Why are the northerners dying to always have power? Why are the likes of Clark solidly behind Jonathan, to the point of breaking all rules, if producing a President wasn't that important? Bayelsa is to have a federal university and a refinery courtesy of a six-months' taking charge at Aso villa. What has Jonathan done for the SE? Enugu airport? Were there not plans already for that? Dont let us sell our birthright for a meal of porridge. Also let me give you somethingGo and read properly why IBB is threatening to leave PDP if Jonathan wins. It's because of the likes of Jonathan who never respect laid down agreements. He wrote to Nwodo requesting him to implement the principle of zoning as agreed upon in the party. Ekwueme will go down in history as the most important sage the Ndigbo nation has produced after Zik of Africa. When such a man calls me to advice me, i'll leave everything i'm doing to listen to him. The sagacity of this elder statesman is unparalleled and not found among commonplace men. If we allow folks like GJ who never respect agreements to bastardize the rotation principle that Ekwueme and other Igbo intelligentsia worked out under the late Abacha, we have given room to the conspiracy against us never to produce a President again in Nigeria. |
That guy is probably the only person that Bankole fears in the NASS. Though brute in his approach to things, the likes of Melayes is what we need to save us from the evil plans of milking Nigeria dry by the so-called legisla-thieves. Imagine what it will be like having like 10 Melayes in the house. lol. ![]() |
Jarus:I think this is one of the reasons why Kwara and some states in Nigeria are lagging behind in development on a daily basis. There's no way you can loop people who have different ideologies and political destiny together, and expect them to move as one. This is one area where the past military juntas did a very crazy job. Personally, i'm a advocate of boundary adjustment(it may not be a creation of new states), but there should be a kind of referendum in which people will be asked where they want to belong to, after which, they'll be group into their chosen states. The nupes for example might what to join the majority nupes in Niger state. The okuns in Kogi may want to join the predominantly yoruba Kwara south, etc. This will give folks like Saraki an opportunity to be in Kwara or be absorbed in other fulani communities. |
All the energy spent in pursuing one litigation after another in the interest of PDP zoning is fighting a losing battle and a waste of time. If these northerners really want to stop Jonathan, the only way to do so is at the primary elections. Normally, i would have expected them to use all those energy and monies spent in courts to reach out in galvanizing more delegates to their cause/candidate so as to know who is on their side and who isn't before the d-day on january 15. |
The Sarakis have never denied having Yoruba blood. Their explanation had been that their Yoruba side is matrilineal, while the patrilineal ancestry is fulani. Olusola saraki is even a member of the ilorin emirate, which is a part of the Sokoto caliphate-a fulani empire. |
