Pure dust - After Jonathan get to 2011 on pdp ticket you think northerners will talk Zoning again? LOL man you people have such an imagination. If anything everyone will go back to their regional parties and the same Igbos vote for igbos, yorubas vote for yoruba, and notherner vote for northerners.

But DEF Zoning is dead should Jonathan Emerge as PDPs candidate- and thats exactly my wish.

Jonathan is the Only option as of right now. hate or like it. he has my support as of right now. Until a better candidate in future election arises be it Elrufai, Oshiomole, Fashola, or Goje maybe even Duke is he contest again.

I dont know how igbo will feel cheated OUT of FREE AND FAIR ELECTION IN NIGERIA- The west in 2015 will vote for who ever fashola and or oshiomole side with, and the North will DEF support young Northerners like Danjuma Goje, or Babangida Aliyu- I cant tell you now Zoning OF PDP has nothing to do with westerners or northerners esp after Jonathan gets PDPs ticket.

You are A FO.OL IF YOU THINK THAT ANY YORUBA OR HAUSA-FULANI, ANY MIDDLE BELTER, NIGER DELTAN (INCLUDING JONATHAN) WILL SIT OUT AN ELECTION BECAUSE IGBO KWENU FEEL THAT 2015 IS FOR THEM. I dont know where you guys even got 2015 from? Who told you dat? Not any Hausas-fulani not any yorubas and not any Niger deltans or middle belters. The only clown that said that is IBB. lol he cant even make anything happen.

I WANT NIGERIA TO BREAK UP IF ANYONE THINKS FASHOLA OSHIOMOLE AND OTHER PERSON WILL SIT OUT IN 2015 OR 2019.

Im still trying to understand how igbos feel CHEATED - IS ANYONE STOPPING YOU GUYS FROM CONTESTING IN ANY ELECTION ? NO!
A clear example of a man who speaks from both sides of his mouth. FUNNY hypocrisy.

So you wish for zoning to be dead now? Why didn't you want it dead when you fielded a Yoruba vs. Yoruba no-contest elections in 1999?

I WONDER WHY IGBOS BEHAVE LIKE THIS? I HAVE TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHY THEY SEEM NOT TO THINK DEEP BEFORE JUMPING INT. ACTION, IS IT NOT THE SAME IBB THAT PROMISED TO HAND OVER TO THE WINNER OF 93 ELECTION? WHY DO IBOS SEEM TO LIKE MORE CASH AT HAND THAN MORE PROSPERITY IN FUTURE, IBB IS NOT THE TYPE TO TRUST, HE IS SOMEHOW A CUNNING AND SELF HEARTED PERSON LIKE OJUKWU WHO JOINED THE NORTHERNERS HE HATED MUCH DURING SHAGARI ERA SO AS TO GET A SOFT LANDING AFTER WASTING MILLIONS OF IBOS AT THE WAR FRONT. IBB WASTED OUR RESOURCES, OUR TIME, OUR FUTURE, HE SACRIFICED OUR PROSPERITY JUST TO SATISFY HIS PERSONAL WISH.
IBO THINK TWICE
Pure twisting of facts!

Igbos had a communique with the Northern Political Leaders, not with IBB, to work together to address the imbalance in the country and also to keep to agreements.

We are not interested in hide-and-seek politics. Sincerity, concrete agreements-these are what we stand for, not SW mago mago politics.

have you forgotten that MAJORITY OF YOUR EASTERN LEADERS FIRST HAVE THEIR EDUCATION IN THE WESTERN REGION RIGHT FROM AZIKWE TO MICHEAL OKPARA OR YOU WANT US TO START NAMING THE SCHOOLS THEY WENT TO?
Meaningless rubbish!

What has that got to do with what is being discussed. Lagos was the FCT then, so many nigerian families lived there, and their children went to school there. Not that there was anything special about the western region. BTW, Lagos wasn't even part of the western region.

Hausa place religious afflictions above family ties talk less of tribal ties. An average Hausa muslim can slaughter his mother, father and siblings at once if they dont agree with his sect's religious veiws.

^^ Im not a Jonathan or PDP supporter, im just realistic

TINUBU is more popular in the SW BUT Tinubu isnt contesting as president and his party doesnt even have a CLEAR flag bearer, if anything this 2011 election is a give away to Jonathan, but I know this wont happen in the future.

I mean- Who is going to be the flag bearer for acn in 2011? and Dont say Ribadu because he hasnt even accepted and if he does who will be his vice? all the people the SW will vote for as Vice- Oshiomole and Fashola said they are not contesting in 2011.

So that Only leaves Jonathan to vote for-
Keep lying through your teeth and playing 'ibadan' politics.

Since you've got what you want, now it's time to busy your head in the sand.
Your i-dont-have-other-option except Jonathan is just selfish reasons, not for the interest of the country.

Hausa-Fulani tenure must be respected. Zoning is beyond PDP and will outlive it.
PoliticsRe: The Key To The Victory Will Simply Be The Selection Of Ibb's Vp by excanny: 10:05am On Aug 25, 2010
The fact remains that this is still a northern tenure, save for the unfortunate demise of Yaradua. So a northerner deserves to complete it in 2015.

Whether that northerner is IBB, your guess is as good as mine.

If what is coming out of northern quarters is true, then the odds against IBB are higher since he's considered a Gwari, and not a Hausa.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Back Uncle Joe by excanny: 8:24am On Aug 25, 2010
When OBJ ruled undisturbed for 8 years there was nothing like 'Yoruba stands for justice' crap.

I dont get it. You know it's a northern tenure. Why do you people want to thwart justice.

Honestly, i dont understand Yoruba's system of politics.

They are the most educated outside the western world. Which is quite correct. Must it become a thread?
Though i must admit that the education is largely quantitative and mere certificate-carrying.

Na wa o!

Tpia is a clear example of missing out on the purpose of a free education programme. Really, really confused entity!

Pay for your education next time to get a qualitative, and not quantitative education.

Believe me, bro, you dont need this. React only when you are attacked. That is igbo nature.

Moreover, we are the same people.

I know very soon this will be in Tribalism garbage.

If the Abam are both in Okrika and Ohafia; the Okrika are both in Rivers and in Imo State (Umu Okrika) that means the Igbo.  and Ijaws are very close indeed.
May GOD forbid!

Igbos can never be related to backstabbers. Say Umu-Okrika are Ijo people who Igbonized.

igbo nature is keeping to agreements.

As long as we keep having Abian leaders with 'Orji' in their names and all those misguided folks who think Ngwas are their prisoners of war, the great Aba city will continue to be a shadow of it's self.

Aba state is non-negotiable. Long live Aba city!

An Igbo vote for Jonathan is nothing but a wasted vote . . . Q.E.D!!!
Not necessarily. My problem with the GJ option is 2015. I wish he comes out and announce he's only going for one term.

Though, i have my reservations about an average ijo due to their unbrotherly attitude towards us in the past. I think GJ is a better Ijo minus Edwin.

His life will be less complicated if he comes forward with a one-term agenda.

The south east governors said they're waiting until all candidates have declared before deciding who to support. I'll tow same line.
A lot can still happen. I can only say that if Jonathan wins the PDP primaries, it'll be hard for Ndigbo not to support him.
Point! Igbos have not decided yet until the battle of the primaries is fought and won. We're simply waiting for the survival of the fittest to know where to cast our lots.
PoliticsRe: Babangida : The Igbos Must Rule In 2015 by excanny: 1:01pm On Aug 23, 2010

I wonder what delight you derive from misquoting Igbo. Igbo is yet to support neither IBB nor GJ, untill after the PDP primaries, and inclusively all other primaries. Then we can weight the options that best suits us.

Until you grow up to learn how to spell 'Igbo' correctly, we'll be bent on going the opposite way on any who disrespects us. How romantic!

Personal note to you: if you think that only descendants of Yoruba slaves make up the caribbeans, go and read your history notes well.
PoliticsRe: Produce Abiola If You Want Our Votes, Afenifere Tells Ibb by excanny: 11:12am On Aug 22, 2010
Yoruba needs to detach sentimentality from whatever right thinking.

I think it's high time they state clearly whatever it is they have against IBB. Is it because he annulled Abiola's elections or is he being judged based on his antecedents? Or both?

There should be some clarification here.
PoliticsRe: 2011: Ibb’s Offer Is Best Option For South East – Obinna Uzoh by excanny: 10:19am On Aug 22, 2010
@chyz

What we have here is a case of 2 dubious personalities- GJ and IBB.

One has a promise, which makes him indebted, the other has nothing binding him.

Which is better? I'll rather go for a devil i know than an angel i dont know. I agree with you that IBB must come to PDP to make his agreements more binding.
PoliticsRe: 2011 : Jonathan Decides To Contest by excanny: 9:51am On Aug 22, 2010
Let GJ be doing slow slow there until IBB chooses an Igbo running mate to split his votes from the Igbos.

I think he underestimates what a political Maradona like IBB has at the back of his palms.

PoliticsRe: Babangida : The Igbos Must Rule In 2015 by excanny: 7:00am On Aug 22, 2010
True said.

Nothing will heal the wounds of the Civil War than an Igbo presidency in 2015. The igbos should not fall into a slumber on this one.

I've said it before on this forum, GJ administration should be seen as completing a northern tenure.

Nigeria must not create a record of being a habitual renegade of agreements, if she wants the wounds of the Civil War to heal.
