sjeezy8:A clear example of a man who speaks from both sides of his mouth. FUNNY hypocrisy. So you wish for zoning to be dead now? Why didn't you want it dead when you fielded a Yoruba vs. Yoruba no-contest elections in 1999? |
seanet02:Pure twisting of facts! Igbos had a communique with the Northern Political Leaders, not with IBB, to work together to address the imbalance in the country and also to keep to agreements. We are not interested in hide-and-seek politics. Sincerity, concrete agreements-these are what we stand for, not SW mago mago politics. |
Na fact i dey tell you. Na because you never understand the kind of religion they practice. Keep your ears open for more of their Sunni vs. Shiite killings, you'll understand what i'm saying. |
seanet02:Meaningless rubbish! What has that got to do with what is being discussed. Lagos was the FCT then, so many nigerian families lived there, and their children went to school there. Not that there was anything special about the western region. BTW, Lagos wasn't even part of the western region. |
tpiah:Does it not make you look weird that you are the ONLY one who joblessly read people's post, since you have nothing relevant to contribute in discussions, and constituting yourself into the most HATED nairalander? Take your frustrated self off my post. My leaving could be anytime! So go get something else to do. |
Hausa place religious afflictions above family ties talk less of tribal ties. An average Hausa muslim can slaughter his mother, father and siblings at once if they dont agree with his sect's religious veiws. |
EzeUche22:Dont bring bad omen upon yourself. That family=disaster |
sjeezy8:Keep lying through your teeth and playing 'ibadan' politics. Since you've got what you want, now it's time to busy your head in the sand. Your i-dont-have-other-option except Jonathan is just selfish reasons, not for the interest of the country. Hausa-Fulani tenure must be respected. Zoning is beyond PDP and will outlive it. |
The fact remains that this is still a northern tenure, save for the unfortunate demise of Yaradua. So a northerner deserves to complete it in 2015. Whether that northerner is IBB, your guess is as good as mine. If what is coming out of northern quarters is true, then the odds against IBB are higher since he's considered a Gwari, and not a Hausa. |
When OBJ ruled undisturbed for 8 years there was nothing like 'Yoruba stands for justice' crap. I dont get it. You know it's a northern tenure. Why do you people want to thwart justice. Honestly, i dont understand Yoruba's system of politics. |
excanny:Though i must admit that the education is largely quantitative and mere certificate-carrying. |
Na wa o! Tpia is a clear example of missing out on the purpose of a free education programme. Really, really confused entity! Pay for your education next time to get a qualitative, and not quantitative education. |

afam4eva:What i'm saying is that the thread is unnecessarily tribalistic, and i know where you are coming from. They are the most 'educated' outside the western world. Which is quite correct. Must it become a thread? |
Believe me, bro, you dont need this. React only when you are attacked. That is igbo nature. Moreover, we are the same people. I know very soon this will be in Tribalism garbage. |
komando.:May GOD forbid! Igbos can never be related to backstabbers. Say Umu-Okrika are Ijo people who Igbonized. igbo nature is keeping to agreements. |
EzeUche22:Is the impotent governor an Ngwa man? That's why we want a seperate state. @Ezeuche, I respect you my brother, but i wont stand you insulting an ngwa person. pls i beg you. |
elodie:Get some job to do, young woman. |
Source? |
As long as we keep having Abian leaders with 'Orji' in their names and all those misguided folks who think Ngwas are their prisoners of war, the great Aba city will continue to be a shadow of it's self. Aba state is non-negotiable. Long live Aba city! |
Yoruba:Not necessarily. My problem with the GJ option is 2015. I wish he comes out and announce he's only going for one term. Though, i have my reservations about an average ijo due to their unbrotherly attitude towards us in the past. I think GJ is a better Ijo minus Edwin. His life will be less complicated if he comes forward with a one-term agenda. |
Onlytruth:Point! Igbos have not decided yet until the battle of the primaries is fought and won. We're simply waiting for the survival of the fittest to know where to cast our lots. |
@ na_so I wonder what delight you derive from misquoting Igbo. Igbo is yet to support neither IBB nor GJ, untill after the PDP primaries, and inclusively all other primaries. Then we can weight the options that best suits us. |
@ bk.babe97y I know you have no manners. Naturally i dont like speaking with because you have successfully proven to me that you have no sense. What i'm telling you is that as a Caribbean or Hispanic Whatever, you ought to talk about Nigerian politics on a neutral ground, because you could be throwing stones at the market. I hope you are old enough to understand what i'm saying. |
The evil that men do live after them. Their evil conspiracy with the North is coming back to haunt them. So sad! |
@ bk.babe Until you grow up to learn how to spell 'Igbo' correctly, we'll be bent on going the opposite way on any who disrespects us. How romantic! Personal note to you: if you think that only descendants of Yoruba slaves make up the caribbeans, go and read your history notes well. |
Yoruba needs to detach sentimentality from whatever right thinking. I think it's high time they state clearly whatever it is they have against IBB. Is it because he annulled Abiola's elections or is he being judged based on his antecedents? Or both? There should be some clarification here. |
@chyz What we have here is a case of 2 dubious personalities- GJ and IBB. One has a promise, which makes him indebted, the other has nothing binding him. Which is better? I'll rather go for a devil i know than an angel i dont know. I agree with you that IBB must come to PDP to make his agreements more binding. |
Let GJ be doing slow slow there until IBB chooses an Igbo running mate to split his votes from the Igbos. I think he underestimates what a political Maradona like IBB has at the back of his palms. |
Ikengawo:IBB antecedents has put him in a precarious situation. However, i admire him for realizing the potentials of the vote of the largest single ethnic group and second to all indigenous groups in the country. |
True said. Nothing will heal the wounds of the Civil War than an Igbo presidency in 2015. The igbos should not fall into a slumber on this one. I've said it before on this forum, GJ administration should be seen as completing a northern tenure. Nigeria must not create a record of being a habitual renegade of agreements, if she wants the wounds of the Civil War to heal. |
