I did mine last week. Just send a mail to your IOM preferred state Lagos/Abuja. Then you will get a response. techgen: Greetings everyone,
Has IOM stop doing biometrics upfront?? I tried booking appointment, but they asterisk IME number as compulsory I need to input…and I can’t proceed without it.
Has anyone done medical appointments upfront lately….how did you book without the IME number?? |

Please how do I go about it if I don't want to inform my employer? JMG12: When you are currently employed and planning to pursue studies, obtaining a study leave letter from your employer is highly advisable. This letter serves as official documentation indicating that your employer is aware of and supportive of your decision to take leave to study. I strongly recommend against applying for your studies without obtaining a study leave letter from your current employer. It also demonstrates your home tie, proof that you will not abscond. There is a way to go about that if you don't want to inform your office |

Thanks alot. I deferred the admission to March 2024. I'm waiting for GCMS note,so I will know how to go about my next application. Frankrobbn1: I'm sorry to hear about the refusal of your study visa application. It can be disheartening, but don't worry, there's still a way forward.
To address the reasons for refusal, you'll need to provide stronger evidence of your ties to your home country. This can include documents such as property ownership, employment contracts, or proof of family relationships. The goal is to demonstrate that you have strong reasons to return to Nigeria after your studies.
Regarding the insufficient funds, you'll need to show that you have enough financial resources to cover your tuition fees and living expenses. Make sure to provide clear and detailed documentation of your financial situation, including bank statements, sponsorship letters, or any other sources of funding.
When writing your Letter of Explanation (LOE) for your reapplication, be honest and transparent about any fund transfer that occured in your account. Explain the reasons behind it and provide any supporting documentation that can help clarify the situation. It's important to show that the bulk fund transfer was legitimate and not intended to deceive the visa officers.
Stay positive and keep working towards your goals.
It will end in praise |

My brother is into IT and he is based in US, I provided them with his bank statement, employment letter and birth certificate. Bobomaigida: You did not sufficiently prove either the sources of the N34m or the relationship with your brother. IRCC does not really ascribe much positive weight to huge balances that cannot be explained by the applicant. So, the main thing you might have to do is proving the money was legitimately made with documentary proofs. You also need to build more substance into your home ties, you will need to show what are those things or who are those persons that will pull you back to your home country are your temporary stay in Canada |

Thank you so much. Bobomaigida: Upfront medical is when applicants go for medical examination before IRCC requests for it. Applicants do this to prevent wasting time as you will only have 30 days to do the medical when IRCC requests for it. There are usually long wait times to get a spot for the medical exam.
Your dashboard is showing the normal message, if and when you pass the eligibility and a medical request is issued, the message on the dashboard will change to we have sent you a medical request. |

Thank you for your kind response. Bobomaigida: Hi Excel, no one can give you a definite answer on your question about getting approved. Most schools request for tuition deposit before issuing LOA, however, I will advise you to check if the school is a DLI and if your programme is PGWP eligible before committing to them. Getting admission is just a small step of the process. |
