21,897 people taking their own lives in 2016.

The density of the forest is believed to be a contributing factor with people often tying string and markers to trees to find their way back to a path in case they change their mind.

The suicide rate in Yamanashi prefecture, where the forest is located, was the worst in Japan for eight years until 2014.

A rope remains tied to a tree at the scene of a suicide in Aokigahara forest, which has become synonymous with suicide.

There's chilling evidence left behind from people who choose to end their lives there. Shoes, back packs, plastic bottles, shirts and so on.

A map is seen at the entrance to Japan's Aokigahara forest, which has become known as one of the world's most prevalent suicide sites.

It reads: 'Your life is a precious gift from your parents. Please think about your parents, siblings and children. Don't keep it to yourself. Talk about your troubles.'

Aokigahara's suicide rates vary, because the forest is so lush that some corpses can go undiscovered for years or might be forever lost.

However, some estimates claim as many as 100 people a year have successfully killed themselves there.

In 2003, 105 bodies were found in the forest, exceeding the previous record of 78 in 2002.

In 2010, the police recorded more than 200 people having attempted suicide in the forest, of whom 54 completed the act.

Suicides are said to increase during March, the end of the fiscal year in Japan.

As of 2011, the most common means of suicide in the forest were hanging or drug overdose.

In recent years, local officials have stopped publicizing the numbers in an attempt to decrease Aokigahara's association with suicide.

Northwest of the majestic Mount Fuji is the sprawling 13.5 square miles of Aokigahara, a forest so thick with foliage that it's known as the Sea of Trees.

People have chosen this place, notoriously called The Suicide Forest, as the setting for their final moments, walking in with no intention of ever walking back out.

Don't mind him, at least they have all amenities unlike the shíthole Nigeria, the truth is that millions of Nigerians will rather choose Switzerland that has high cost of living than Nigeria
People will go there and live in company's store room to gather money.

But if you tell most Nigerians to go there they will teleport without hesitation. A place where there is constant power, roads, hospitals, security, where you won't be killed by rampaging herdsmen.
We will sleep on trees to avoid high rent and trek to work.

What they won't tell you is that the cost of loving in Switzerland is very high due to NGOs and other factors.

The increase is to ensure their citizens can meet up with the high cost of living. Rent, food, taxes gulp a lot.
You're right sir, cost of living is very high in Switzerland.

Just like Abuja, Lagos and PH where we have millions living there.

Our government did something, they increased minimum wage to ₦30,000, less than $100 per month.

What im trying to say is, our government should have considered high cost of living in these cities and do better if they really care.

The plane crashed about 115 miles south east of Iceland's capital Reykjavik.

It attracts thousands of tourists, photographers, couples every year, home and abroad.

'You can walk right into the fuselage from the back of the plane and make your way into the cockpit.

'It was also an amazing experience because there were very few tourists around.

'We spent about half an hour wandering around and in the wreck and during that time, only two jeeps pulled up, and only for a few minutes. Most of the time it was just us and the wreck.'

The plane wreck has featured in countless traveler photos, a Bollywood movie, several TV commercials and music videos, perhaps most famously in a 2007 Sigur Rós documentary, and more recently in the video for Justin Bieber’s I’ll Show You.

The scenery and otherworldly composition of black sand and weathered gray hulk of the plane draw thousands of visitors every year.

The plane is located around six miles off the main road west of Vik on Sólheimasandur Beach, meaning Cheng had to hunt down GPS coordinates online and drive to the crash site in a 4x4.

TravelRe: Wreckage Of U.S. Navy Plane That Crashed On Iceland Black Beach In 1973(Pics) by Explorers(op):
The most popular theory of what caused the crash is that the plane crashed after running out of fuel during a storm, after the pilot accidentally switched to the wrong fuel tank.

The plane was returning to Keflavík from the town Höfn in Hornafjörður fjord, in Southeast Iceland.

It had been delivering equipment for the US Radar Station on Stokkses east of Höfn.

All five crew members survived the crash uninjured, but the plane was badly damaged.

The US Navy decided that recovering the plane from the crash site on the barren sand near the ocean, some 3.5 km (2.5 mi) from the nearest road, Suðurlandsvegur was too difficult.

The Navy then stripped the plane of everything of any value the empty husk was left on the sand where it has stood ever since in the harsh weather.

'After planning to go to Iceland for a vacation with my wife, I started hearing rumours about a plane wreck located on a huge black sand beach,' Cheng, who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, said.

'My wife is a huge airplane buff, so it was pretty clear that I had to find it so I could show it to her.'

Its tail and wings are gone and its windows are all smashed in since it was forced to crash land on Sólheimasandur beach on Saturday November 24 1973.

TravelWreckage Of U.S. Navy Plane That Crashed On Iceland Black Beach In 1973(Pics) by Explorers(op):
On Nov 24 1973, the US Navy airplane, a Douglas Super DC-3 was forced to crash land on Sólheimasandur beach.

Amazingly, the crew all survived the impact, but the plane was abandoned rather than recovered, meaning the weather-beaten remains are still standing at the crash site.

The exact reason for the crash is not known, although some sources suggest the plane simply ran out of fuel after the pilot switched to the wrong fuel tank.

These incredible shots of the aircraft were taken by Eric Cheng, 38, photographer and director of aerial imaging at drone manufacturer DJI, who visited with his wife Pam.

TravelRe: Covid-19 Effect: Cruise Ships From U.S. And U.K. Are Being Scrapped In Turkey by Explorers(op): 8:45am On Oct 03, 2020
Three more ships are set to join those already being dismantled.

Before the pandemic, the Turkey's ship-breaking yards typically handled cargo and container ships, Kamil Onal, chairman of a ship recycling industrialists' association, told Reuters.

'But after the pandemic, cruise ships changed course towards Aliaga yard in a very significant way,' he said.

Onal said some 2,500 people worked at the yard in teams that take around six months to dismantle a full passenger ship.

The vessels arrived from Britain, Italy and the United States.

The shipyard aims to increase the volume of dismantled steel to 1.1 million tonnes by the end of the year, from 700,000 tonnes in January, he said.

'We are trying to change the crisis into an opportunity,' he said.

Two customized Boeing 747s, one of which carried Trump on Thursday, and several Sikorsky helicopters, often used to transport the president from the White House to Andrews Air Force Base, will be out of commission during the cleaning.

Washington D.C. has been thrown into a tailspin since Trump's positive test, as congressional aides and SCOTUS staffers rush to sites to get tested.

Before allegedly carrying out the heinous crime, Guy Jr meticulously plotted his every murderous move in a notebook, first detailing at great length how he would kill his mother and father, then how he would dispose of their remains, step-by-step.

Another page shows details of the ‘assets’ belonging to Lisa Guy including a $500,000 life insurance policy that lists Guy Jr as a beneficiary.

Guy Jr is pictured in Knoxville court listening to testimony on Day 3 of his murder trial.

Prosecutors say Guy Jr's motive for the murders was financial because his parents had been planning to stop giving him money so they could retire comfortably.

Joel Guy Jr. is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of felony murder, and two counts of abuse of a corpse.

Over the course of the four-day trial 27 witnesses were called to testify in the case and hundreds of exhibits were shown to the jury.

In the state of Tennessee, a conviction on first-degree murder charges triggers automatic sentencing of life in prison for each count.

At the start of the trial guy Jr said he didn’t want a lawyer and wanted the death penalty.

The state, however, is not seeking the death penalty.

Two plastic containers are pictured inside the home of Joel Guy Sr and Lisa Guy in Tennessee containing the couple's partially liquifed remains.

Containers of chemicals are seen sitting in a hallways next to a large bloodstains.

Guy Sr had his arms severed at the shoulder, legs cut off.

Lisa Guy's legs were cut off below the knee and her arms at the shoulder and nine of her ribs were severed.

Dr. Amy Hawes, who performed autopsies on both of them, testified they likely died within a ‘few seconds to a few minutes’.

Once they were dead their arms and legs were cut off and Lisa Guy’s head decapitated.

Those body parts were then placed in two blue tote tubs found on plastic sheeting on the floor of the master bathroom in the upstairs of the family’s Goldenview Lane home in Knoxville.

It appeared that the body parts were immersed in corrosive chemicals to dissolve their flesh and bones then flush down.

Meat grinder was also discovered in the trunk of his car at the time of his arrest.
