Dec 29th 2005 3:40Pm. My Granny passed away. But before that she has been disturbing my dad to move to his own personal building ( Dad want to perfect everything before moving to his own home. But becos of Granny he rushed and did the best he could. He did just two rooms).

We parked 29th Dec 2005. Immediately we got to Pop house. My Granny stood up, she was very agile and looks so strong. Like she wasn’t sick and all. She smiled so brightly. She walked without anybody Assistance or holding her. Few minute later, she passed away. She stopped breathing. So glad pop man make her last wish happen. I missed my granny. Walai! May Almighty Allah Forgive her all her sins and grant her Aljanat Firdaus.

A security guard at a residence on Gabriel Okoyi Street, Ikate-Lekki, Springbay Estate, Lagos State, Bitrus Peter, has died from injuries he reportedly sustained in the hands of two naval ratings.

The 29-year-old man was reportedly beaten up by the naval ratings and two security guards on the order of one Seun, a tenant at a house manned by Peter.

City Round learnt that Seun accused the deceased of stealing a piece of his jewellery and invited the naval officers attached to a landlord on the estate to probe him.


It was gathered that Peter led the naval ratings to a man he sold the necklace to for N40,000, but the man also claimed to have resold it N100, 000. The money was said to have been recovered from the man.

Afterwards, the naval ratings and two of the estate guards stripped Peter half-naked and descended on him heavily in Seun’s presence.

He reportedly went unconscious when one of the officers booted him in the head.

Peter’s younger brother, James, who is also a guard in one of the houses on the estate, told our correspondent that he got wind of the incident from a friend and he rushed to the scene.

He said the assailants and Seun ran away by the time he arrived there, adding that he and a relative rushed Peter to the Lagos Island General Hospital where he later died.

The native of Tafa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State is survived by a wife and a five-year-old girl.

After Moran was in handcuffs, Baiardi walked him into the store's loss prevention room where a surveillance camera was recording.

A veteran cop from Arizona has been fired after he admitted to slapping a suspected shoplifter across the face.

Officer Tim Baiardi, who worked with the Phoenix Police Department for 18 years, had his contract terminated on Thursday.

On July 24, Baiardi pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct over the slapping incident, which was recorded on surveillance camera.

Prosecutors originally charged him with felony aggravated assault, before it was eventually downgraded.

The shocking incident occurred after he caught homeless man Roger Moran, 22, stealing multiple pairs of pants from a Phoenix Walmart.

The guy committed no offence, it's an open carry state. Missouri allows open carry without a permit, so long as the firearm is not displayed in an angry or threatening manner.

It is not a crime under Missouri law to openly carry a weapon into any place where concealed carry is prohibited, except for a church, school bus, school, or onto the grounds of a school function. According to RSMo Section 571.30, there is no age limit to openly carry a handgun, long gun or any deadly weapon.

Yea, he did nothing wrong. Who knows maybe he was even going for shopping/window shopping or sight seeing. But just decided to go fully armed with loaded assault rifle, body armour, handguns and extra loaded magazines.

They should have allowed him gain access into the store first.
