PetsYoung Girl In Bath Washes Crocodile's Teeth With A Toothbrush In Indonesia(Pics) by Explorers(op):
This is the surreal moment a young girl, Maharani washes a crocodile while lies next to her in the bath.

Dressed in a little yellow bathing suit, Maharani even uses toothpaste to brush the croc's sharp set of teeth.

The jaw dropping footage was filmed at a home in Tangerang City, which is on Indonesia's main island of Java.

While most parent might opt to give their child a rubber duck to play with at bath-time, the Indonesian family appear to have given their daughter a slightly more dangerous and living creature to keep her company.

It took almost a decade to build, was finished three years late and cost £330million ($434 million) - but Qatar's vast national museum is finally open.

It resembles a cluster of flying saucers, though its design was actually inspired by a desert rose.

The new National Museum of Qatar, which was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel, features a multi-curved flying saucer style roof.

TravelRe: Maltese Special Forces Rescue Oil Tanker Hijacked By Immigrants(Photos) by Explorers(op):
Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini had earlier said the ship, an 846-ton tanker named El Hiblu 1, had been bound for Libya after picking up the migrants but had been taken over and turned towards Europe.

El Hiblu 1 is registered in the Republic of Palau, an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean.

The ship was on its way to Tripoli, the capital of Lybia, from Turkey, on Tuesday but six nautical miles from port it diverted, heading north to rescue some migrants off the coast of Libya.

Maltese special forces have seized a tanker that was hijacked by migrants 'in an act of piracy' in the Mediterranean after the captain stopped to rescue them.

Armed forces handed control of the vessel back to the captain who sailed it towards Malta's Grand Port, in the capital Valletta, along with the migrants and crew.

When the boat arrived this morning, the migrants were escorted off under armed guard before being handed over to waiting police officers.

Several police vans and a bus were waiting in the harbour for the migrants, four of whom were taken away in handcuffs. The captain and his crew were also seen being escorted off the ship.

Police officers were waiting in the harbour to handcuff the migrants and lead them away as soon as the boat reached dry land.

TravelRe: Europe's First Underwater Restaurant Opened In Norway (Pics) by Explorers(op): 5:26pm On Mar 21, 2019
But Under isn’t just a restaurant.

The building also houses a marine research facility.

It welcomes interdisciplinary research teams that will be able to study marine biology and fish behavior through cameras and other measurement tools that are installed on and outside the facade of the restaurant.

They will be able to document the population, behavior, and diversity of species that live in the surrounding areas.

The goal of the research is to collect data that can be programmed into machine learning tools that monitor the population dynamics of key marine species on a regular basis.

In Norway, Lindesnes is known for its intense weather conditions, which can change from calm to stormy several times a day.

Upon arriving at the site, the visitor’s impressions of the unruly outdoors quickly dissolve as they are ushered through into the hushed, oak-clad foyer.

The rich interiors create a warm, welcoming atmosphere inside the restaurant.

“For most of us, this is a totally new world experience.

It’s not an aquarium, it’s the wildlife of the North Sea.

That makes it much more interesting.

It takes you directly into the wildness,” Rune Grasdal, lead architect of Under, “If the weather is bad, it’s very rough.

It’s a great experience, and to sit here and be safe, allowing the nature so close into you. It’s a very romantic and nice experience.”

TravelRe: Europe's First Underwater Restaurant Opened In Norway (Pics) by Explorers(op): 5:25pm On Mar 21, 2019
Thick concrete walls allow it to withstand pressure and shock from the rugged sea conditions and, like a sunken periscope, the restaurant’s massive panoramic window offers a view of the seabed as it changes throughout the seasons and varying weather conditions.

“In this building, you may find yourself underwater, over the seabed, between land and sea.

This will offer you new perspectives and ways of seeing the world, both beyond and beneath the waterline.”

TravelEurope's First Underwater Restaurant Opened In Norway (Pics) by Explorers(op):
The first, the largest and the most research-friendly.

Under is the world’s largest underwater restaurant with a total seating capacity for 100 guests, it’s the first of its kind in Europe, and it also functions as a research center for marine life.

The Snøhetta-designed dining experience started operating just yesterday but people are already adding it to their Norway destination lists.

In Norwegian, ‘under’ means both ‘below’ and ‘wonder.’

Half-sunken into the sea, the building’s 111-foot long monolithic form breaks the surface of the water to rest on the seabed below.

Taking it a step further, the structure is built to eventually fully integrate into its marine environment, as the roughness of the concrete shell will function as an artificial reef, welcoming limpets and kelp to inhabit it.

when there is a chance of saving even a soul from hundreds, I don't think it will be a waste of parachutes or resource

My point is,passengers are not trained for parachuting, agreed but do we resign to fate when they may be a chance(even if slim)of saving some?
Bro, parachuting is not possible. That plane wont be stable for that.
TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
verifiablefacts:
but do passengers have dying training? the parachute should have been a last resort kinda.
Last resort how?

Did you read the parachuting is pre-planned?

They plan when, where, and how they jump before going airborne.

There is max speed/height when parachuting and this can only happen when a plane is in a good or normal working condition.

To have a plane where passenger can jump, there must be ramp at the back just like the military and cargo planes.

When there's emergency at about 30,000ft, then the crew will ask all passengers, over 200 to pick up their parachutes/gears including passengers with toddlers/babies, and the old.

After that, they will ask them to be on a single file and move to the rear end of the plane.

Then they start jumping, where's the landing spot? Ocean, Desert, Jungle, thousands of miles from civilization.

Think about the rescue operation, picking up over 200 people scattered in the sea, desert or jungle.

Its going to happen, its just a matter of when. It's not a parachute.Parachute is under every seat already
No parachute anywhere bro, only life vest.
TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Parachuting kits are bulky and expensive

A parachute is too bulky to fit under a typical economy class seat.

Plus, its heavy.

Naturally, it would take up sizable space on the plane, which is already quite costly.

Also, adding parachutes for every soul on a commercial airplane would easily add around 6,000 - 8,000 pounds to its overall weight, a situation that airlines desperately try to avoid.

To top it all off, parachuting gear (helmet, altimeter, goggles etc.) is quite expensive, which means that airfare would increase significantly if parachutes were made mandatory on all commercial flights.

All in all, putting parachutes on commercial airplanes isn’t viable, both practically and economically.

Even if they did start putting parachutes onboard, the chances that they would save every soul during a real emergency are virtually non-existent.

TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Most accidents occur during landing and takeoff.

Now, this is a purely statistical reason.

The most practical time for parachuting out of an airplane is when it’s cruising/stable.

However, it’s generally observed that most fatal plane crashes occur either during landings or takeoffs times when parachutes would be pretty useless as there will be no time.

TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Commercial airplanes are not designed to be conducive for people jumping out of it.

Planes that host regular, individual skydives are typically small, so skydivers clear it pretty much immediately after the jump.

Large military aircraft, on the other hand, have a nice ramp at the back where parachutists can jump and steer clear of the fuselage.

Military aircraft have a ramp at the back to facilitate skydives.

Commercial aircraft, however, have neither a small body nor a ramp.

Jumping out of a conventional airplane would include the serious risk of smashing into the fuselage of the aircraft (its wings, engine or tail), and sustain grievous, if not fatal injuries.

TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Commercial aircraft fly very high.

Planned skydives, including the riskiest ones, occur no more than 15,000 - 16,000 feet above the ground.

Plus, the planes these skydivers jump from are usually small and aren’t moving that fast.

On the contrary, most commercial airplanes cruise at around 35,000 feet an altitude where you won’t find any breathable air, and they also fly much faster.

In order for passengers parachuting out of a downed airplane to not pass out due to hypoxia, they would need oxygen cylinders, provided that they ‘clear’ the plane safely, which, by the way, is another important concern.

TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Skydives are pre-planned.

An important thing to remember about skydiving is that it occurs under perfectly normal conditions.

Since the jumps are pre-planned, the skydiver knows well in advance that they are going to jump out of a moving airplane.

In contrast, passengers onboard airplanes would never know in advance that they might have to take the leap in the next few minutes.

Skydives are extensively planned and prepared for in advance.

In essence, what you have on a commercial plane are people who have never used or seen a parachute in their lives, but have to strap on the gear effectively in only a minute or two and prepare to jump.

They also have to do all this while wearing their emergency oxygen masks (we haven’t even factored in the environment of confusion and commotion that would rock the cabin in such an emergency situation where 200 passengers needs to jump in less than 2minutes).

Let's us imagine a situation where the plane is nose diving.

TravelRe: Reason Commercial Airplanes Dont Have Parachutes Onboard For Passengers(Pics) by Explorers(op):
Airline passengers have no parachute training.

What you have on every commercial plane are people who have never used or seen a parachute in their lives.

Without a minimum of training, most people would not even be able to strap the parachute on correctly, never mind open it and land safely.

Even on the ground and with plenty of time this is not easy.

In the confined space of an airliner and in a high-stress situation/commotion, it would be even more difficult.
