Then you saw someone you may like, you thought there might be something there, you took a chance, you tried to get to know that person, really know them, it worked, you made it official,you met the parents, you got engaged, then married and you had babies. It was a simple story of boy meets girl and they fall in love.



These days, you see someone you may like, you think there might be something there, you take a chance, you stop and wonder if you are ready for it, or if this means you have to stop talking to the multiple people you are currently talking to.

What if you find someone more successful? Or better looking? Or richer?

You overanalyze, you scrutinize everything to where you forget why it all started.

You let them go and move on in hopes of finding someone better or until you are“ready” to settle down.







Then, even though you were fighting, you still talked to each other; you made plans together, ate together, and were there for each other until you made up.

You communicated and discussed how you can make it work, how you could avoid this situation in the future, and you reassured each other that everything will be OK, it’s just a fight, it happens.


Now, you fight, you tell yourself this wouldn’t have happened if you were dating X or Y, you decide to teach them a lesson and dismiss their calls and messages for 3 days, a week, a month, until they learn their lesson.


When you make up, you will still be more guarded, a bit harder, and unwilling to put up with their “drama.”

So you decide to keep your options open again and you try to find someone better, someone less “dramatic,” who could be better looking, more successful or richer.

Texting and chat instead of talking in person.


If your partner pisses you off, you run to post a Facebook status:

“Sometimes people are just so inconsiderate/annoying, Heartbroken.”


Those days, instead of posting your business all over the internet you maturely talk about it.

You realize your problems are between you and him and not you, him, and your social media following.

Guys communication then vs now.

Those days after writing Waec 4x and waiting for admission.


You are alone at home with your siblings then you start cruising that Dad's favourite ride(Benz 230/300) around your crush's place.

A woman in the Democratic Republic of Congo was publicly raped, whipped and decapitated in front of a cheering crowd after serving 'forbidden fish' to a group of anti-government rebels, who later drank her blood.


Video footage of the execution in Luebo, in the province of Kasaï-Occidental,shows the naked woman being shamed in the town's main square by a group claiming allegiance to the Kamuina Nsapu rebel movement.


While the video was filmed on April 8, 2017, the footage recently emerged after circulating on Whatsapp.


The woman being punished was accused of serving forbidden fish to rebels who visited her restaurant.


'They said she gave them beans that contained pieces of a small, local fish,' a Luebo resident told France 24.


The resident added: 'Convinced that she had broken their protection charms, the council of rebels led by a man named Kabata sentenced both the woman and the son of her husband's second wife (the young man was also working there that day) to commit incest in public.

'The Kamuina Nsapu refrain from having sex, washing themselves and eating meat, fish and other items while fighting, according to Congolese researcher and consultant Anaclet Tshimbalanga.


Following the public rape, rebels executed the woman and the young man, believed to be in his 20s, by beheading them with machetes.

A plane has crashed in Uruguay during an event to remember a plane that crashed in 1972.



There were two men aboard the Piper J-3 light aircraft when it went down near a beachside anniversary barbecue in Montevideo, Uruguay yesterday.



The pilot, Rodrigo Artagaveytia, swam to safety but the co-pilot, Fernando Gonzalez Foreti, has still not been found.



They were marking the infamous Andes flight disaster, when 29 people died on Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 after it crashed in remote mountains.

ONE POLY STUDENT DIED AFTER DISCHARGE AGAINST MEDICAL ADVICE FROM EKSUTH:



The attention of the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti has been drawn to certain report which has gone viral on the social media and a section of the Press with regard to the alleged death of two students with malaria attack given as the cause of the violent demonstration on Saturday, 7th October, 2017.



However, the truth of the matter was that a student of the institution was reported dead after he had forcibly been discharged against medical advice at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital Ado Ekiti.

The deceased student had reported ILL at the NHIS-Accredited Polytechnic's health centre on Friday, 6 October 2017, got stabilised after which the patient was referred to EkSUTH for further treatment.

Report from the Teaching Hospital on the morning of Saturday, 7th October, 2017 that the patient was forcibly discharged against medical advice and also without the input or knowledge of the Polytechnic about the patient's whereabout.

This was the situation until the alleged death of the student was broken on campus heralding the violent protest with the students going wild with all sorts of lies and burnt down the fully equipped NHIS-Accredited Health Centre, the entrepreneurship and demonstration farms, poultry, fishery etc of the CEDVS as well as the department of Agricultural Technology and Agricultural and Bio Environmental Technology vandalising and looting the poultry, fishery among other damages.



Meanwhile, to facilitate investigation into the gory development, a number of decisions have been taken at a combined meeting of Management and Academic Board held on Sunday 8 October 2017 as follows:



1. Shut down all academic activities and confirmed earlier decision taken by the Rector in sending the students home until further notice:



2. Set up a panel of inquiry to unravel the remote and immediate cause/s of the crises, among other terms of reference.






I was at UTH A&E Dept and was told that the student got to them last night around 7pm with severe chest pain.

He was admitted till this morning when his brother requested for forceful discharge against medical advice.


He was asked to sign and he did.



The student didn't die at UTH, he died while he was being taken away.
