extraflyfineboy: First of all I want to say that the stories on this blog are a mighty inspiration, and that is why I had to write mine

so as to let the world know my story too. My name is Franklin, 15 and a genius. Yes am a genius and I always say it. I

bet that’s one of the reason why am always a target.

I come from a poor family where we struggle to eat three square meals. But what we lacked financially, God made it up to

us through brains. When I was in primary 3, I was so good that I was given a double promotion to primary 5. Again, in

secondary school I never ceased to amaze my class mates and teachers. I was the brain behind most of the award that my

school won. At first, my teacher thought I was cheating because whenever we had a test or exam I always got most of the

questions right. Even when she made the questions unbearable for everyone, I still solved them.

During one of our exam, she took me to the front of the class and had a senior prefect and she monitored me during the

entire exam, and again, I performed wonders. I was the topic on everyone’s lips. “Have you met the new kid, Frank the

genius?’’ that was how I was referred as. When I was in SS1 I when I went for a competition meant for students in SS3

and answered all the questions without blinking. In fact, I thought the questions were too cheap. And after that

competition, I was awarded a scholarship to study in America.

The company that awarded me the scholarship took care of all the bills, including my accommodation and feeding but the

only thing I was to pay for was my flight ticket. My parents didn’t have the money, but thanks to my principal, they

school raised the fund for me.

When I got to America it was like a dream come true. Everything there was different; the house, the food, and the way

they dressed. American’s are very wonderful people and I received a very warm welcome.

I can never forget my first day in school. As I walked into the class, a very fat boy who always sat at the back seat

yelled “Here comes the little monkey” and the class roared in laughter.

During lunch break, 2 guys came to where I was eating and said “hello little one, this is our space, move to the other

end that’s where gorilla’s stay”. I didn’t understand why everyone was being rude to me. Was it because I was little, or

because of my skin colour?

I was still eating my lunch when the fat boy that had earlier made fun of me in class approached me. “Hallo monkey boy,

I was just wondering, how did you jump high school and made it to college here? Ain’t you supposed to be in some high

school jungle somewhere in Africa?” I took courage and replied him. “Now listen to me fat boy, I didn’t jump high

school, am here on merit, I actually am a genius unlike you” I said looking him in the eyes. “ohhh, monkey boy can make

some noise too. You call me fat? I will show what fat boys do to rude African’s like you”. That was when Essien, a

Ghanaian born in America stepped in to rescue me. “Hey move along”

Tomorrow I die! 5 days ago I was sentenced to death by electrocution, but how can I leave this beautiful world without

telling my story? I am Bernard 33, born with a silver spoon.

At 26 I got my PHD and life was so beautiful. You wake up knowing that the rest of the day was going to be perfect.

One Monday morning I was preparing for work, I suddenly felt faint and weak and there was this loud noise pounding on

my head. It’s been over a year I went for check up so I called Stephen our family doctor who after series of test gave

me the news that changed my life. “Bernard, you have a large tumor in your brain…its quite major but there are

professionals who can take care of it.

I couldn’t believe it, I only heard such stories in soap-opera’s and now it was a reality. After 2 weeks, we had a

meeting with a specialist and it was concluded that I was going to have a brain surgery in India. A week later I flew

to India for the surgery. There was this guy in the ward close to mine, he was quite popular and wanted to do a brain

transplant. According to him, he has a genetically modified brain that will enable him win an award as the “wisest man

ever’’. The funny thing was that his surgery was the same time as mine.

Religion / Short Story (fiction) The Reason Why I Must Kill My Pastor by extraflyfineboy(m): 8:33pm On Jun 22, 2013
After 12years in prison I came out that day with a re-kindled anger on my mind. It was a hot afternoon and it gave me

time to travel a few kilometers and locate Isah to collect my money which I have been sending to him from my dirty

deals in prison.

After that, I immediately began to track Reverend Mark which was not hard at all as he seemed to have gathered

multitude of followers within the period I was in jail.

Now let’s travel a few years back so I can keep you updated on what’s happening; Deacon Mark Stephen now Rev. Mark

Stephen was a business associate whose job was to bring in valuable information about money about to exchange hands in

our church to my gang.

He was in charge of the financial matters of the church and he made a lot of money updating my gang about financial

information of the church, and we had so ransacked the church hat it began to pay military men to guard its premises.

But that could not hinder us as we had an insider who kept us informed; Mark Stephens.

Our, movement was a National one and we did not mind traveling far as long as the money was good.

The stealing became too much that the SSS stepped in to investigate the stealing. They were making good progress that

was probably why Mark Stephen gave us in. He told the Bishop and the Inspector in charge of the case that “the Lord”

showed him in a vision how the criminals would be apprehended, where as I and my gang were unsuspecting when he gave

us wrong information and when we moved into action most of my gang members were killed in the operation.

The “prophesy” made people begin to worship him and after I was sentenced to 12 years in prison, he formed his own

church and most of the church members moved with him. That was the beginning of his evil ministerial journey.

Reverend Mark progressed, and am sure he had a lot of evil going on in his church which led to him setting up

different branches of his church across the nation. He even stepped up his game and dived into politics, thereby

winning the heart of different political Knights.

But like the bible rightfully say’s “the wages of sin is death” so I planned on how to pay him his wages which are

long overdue.

Now that am out of prison, I was fearless and even planned on going to the church on a Sunday and shoot him right

there in the Alter. But as I approached the church I noticed some security men searching people that entered the

church. The recent bombing of churches by the Islamic sect; Boko Haram made the churches increase its security and of

course, this criminal who loves his life dearly tripled his security making it impossible for me to enter the church

without the metal detector not detecting my silver pistol which I tucked below my belt.

I could not go to his house because he has guards that guard him 24/7. I was running out of patience. Alas!! I it was

harvest time for the church and I got an idea. After carefully disguising myself, I went to the church and pledged

N1.5million. The congregation almost broke down the church building as they applauded. I told the Ushers that I would

personally bring the money to the pastor himself the next day and it was agreed.

At about 7:20am the next day; I tucked my pistol into my Blaizers Suite and went to Reverend Mark’s residence. I was

given a kings welcome by the security men who recognized me as “the N1.5m man”. Within seconds, Reverend Mark appeared

and when I saw him face to face I did not hesitate for a moment as I brought out my gun and shot him.

Feeling fulfilled, I tried to escape but the security guards shot me on the leg and I was apprehended.

**************************************************

I received the shock of my life when Rev. Mark came out of the house with a big grin. “so you think you can kill me

ehhnn??. It’s because of people like you I wear bullet proof vest under my cassock. You are lucky you attracted this

crowd else my boys would have sent you to your grave” there was a mixture of joy and anger in his voice. “ I hope they

sentence you to death by hanging this time, bastard!” those where his final words.

2 weeks later I was sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted murder. I am currently planning my prison break, and

must succeed because I am now working with integrated allies.

When I eventually come out, Reverend Mark Stephens must go down!! If he like s let him wear 3 bullet proof vests, I

don’t care. He must die, even if it means me strangling him with my bare hands.

NB- this story came as an inspiration and could be used for reference purpose to further illustrate some of the happenings unknown to most of us.

Sports / Ability In Disability (the Story Of A Soccer Star) by extraflyfineboy(m): 7:29pm On Jun 20, 2013
I have always loved football. In fact, if it’s not football, I don’t know what else I can do. I started playing at the

age of 4, I remember my dad and I having the greatest time while growing up. In primary and secondary school I

always played and did wonders. Little wonder when I gained admission into the university I became the captain of

my school team and together we won many inter- school, national and international competitions. It was in one of

those international competitions we played in Canada that I played even more than I ever have, which made the

organizers award me the best player of the tournament.

At that time, it seemed like the world was so beautiful. . They sent delegates to monitor me and in less than 2

weeks I got a contract with a local team in Canada which offered me a 4 years contract worth $500,000. It was a

beautiful start. It was concluded that I would leave for Canada at the end of the month and in my bid to stay fit

and impress, I practiced daily; morning and evening.

My Coach told me to try not to stress myself as I would need my strength when I get to my new club but I

wouldn’t listen. All I believed was my dreams. I imagined myself winning the African footballer of the year and even

proceed to be the second African to win the coveted fifa footballer of the year.

Finally, it was a day before I travelled out. I received a confirmatory call from the president of the club that morning

so I went to the field for my last practice.

I joined my team mates in a game and towards the end of the game I was given a through ball which I pursed. As

I ran towards the ball in our up kept pitch, I stuck my leg in a pot hole in the pitch and my ankle fractured. The

pain was unbearable. I screamed as though the pain would go if screamed harder. But it didn’t.

When the agents arrived the next day and saw the situation of things, they said they will have to go without me.

Right in front of me, my beautiful world was crashing.

I contemplated suicide but I didn’t have the guts. Well, if this is what life has for me then I will live it, I concluded

in sorrow.

I couldn’t walk; I was now using a wheel chair. Every day I would go to the field and watch other use their legs to

play while I who was the king of this pitch watched…most times with unbearable pain and tears.

It was in October when a friend of mine told me about a football competition. “Tony are you trying to mock me?”

I inquired of him. “you know fully well I can’t walk, talk more of run, how can I participate in a football

competition?” I was moved to tears. “That is what am saying man” Tony continued. “it’s a competition

for…um…disabled people.” My countenance changed and he noticed it which made him continue in his speech

which am sure he had previously practiced. “listen man, we all know how great you were I mean….you are…. but

now that this unfortunate incident has happened you can’t be like this forever. I urge you to enter this

competition and continue from where you stopped; there is ability in disability my friend”.

That night, after hours of thinking, I concluded I was going to enroll for the competition.

It was a competition for disabled people, am sure you must have watched it in the local stadiums and Olympics, if

you haven’t you suck. Meanwhile, it was hard initially cos we moved with a hand-made wheel like device. Just like

the little car I used to make while growing up. Plus we used our hands as we moved on the device and not our

legs. But a player is always a player and with time I excelled.

I am currently the captain of the team representing my league and we have national and international

competitions outlined for us this year. The joy cannot be compared to playing with my legs, but am happy I still do

wonders.

Hey YOU!. You have 2 hands, 2 legs and yet you complain all the time about little things…shame on you! What will

you do if peradventure something bad happened to you…suicide? Don’t be an ass.

We are all blessed in different ways, yes I was good at football, but this is another chance…in fact, I see it as

another calling. Use your God given gift to make a difference, you are you, and not like any other person in the

world. #EnoughSaid.
