Reminisce's new EP titled 'Ogaranya' and would feature the likes of YBNL's Fireboy and Mavin Record's Tiwa Savage.
A video shot at FreeMe Space and directed by TG Omori was released with Fireboy on July 12th, 2020.
The new EP, Vibes and Insha Allah features songs like 'Eja Osan' featuring Tiwa Savage, 'Vibes' and 'Over 2.5'.

Although, there is no specific date for the release of the EP, it promises to be a blast.

You really need to see YouTuber and Comedian Twyse Ereme's short film which he titled Conception.

The film follows a young couple with troubles in conceiving, but the mother-in-law has taken it upon herself to make the marriage a living hell.

The film casts Akinola Olalekan jr. Towoju Funmilayo, Ajilogba Aishat, Adeladun Oluwatosin and Solarin Omodunmininu.

It was produced and directed by Twyse Ereme and Cinefang pictures.

Movies are about story telling or that's what they were supposed to be about but there is one basic problem "Movie Stereotypes."

It is funny that in this day and age, a lot film makers still lean on the wrong part of representing a particular culture,
In one of our previous posts, we talked about how war movies can help the world in their relationship with people of other races.
Before addressing the part of being represented wrongly, we can truly say that whether innocent or not, these acts can seem racial.

You may say No! but if we view in context, it is.
Racial stereotypes have existed for a long time because of one thing "Colonialism".
More also, many roles that are expected for non-white actors are being played by white people because in essence, Hollywood is for the white-man.
And also, racial bias.

Racial Representation

In a statement, Scarlett Johansson talked about representation in the art;

"You know, as an actor, I should be able to play any person, or any tree, or any animal, because that's my job and the requirements of my job."

She then went on to clarify her statement since she was under fire for her words;

"I personally feel that, in an ideal world, any actor should be able to play any body and art, in all forms, should be immune to political correctness.
"That is the point I was making, albeit didn't come across that way."

The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah made a reference to her movie Ghost In The Shell when he talked about her been under fire for her roles.
Trevor then later explained the concept and how it affects the minority races of the world;

"We take for granted how much representation means to human beings, I think in two ways.
"One: in an inspirational front, and two: just how it shapes society."

What Is Wrong?

In essence, Trevor explained that character depiction tend to affect how the world sees races of the world for example;

Black people are often depicted as either criminals, maids, slaves or having poverty stricken mother.
Latinos are defined by their sex appeal or as drug dealers.
Germans are still defined as Nazis
Asians are depicted as either nerdy, bad drivers, saboteurs, convenience store owners or refugees.
Muslims are used to portray terrorists.
And do not even get me started on Russians.

Character representation goes a long way to affect the image of a race and should be taken with caution.
I wouldn't want to talk about the LGBTQ community because that is not my focus topic right now.
Now races should be respected and treated with caution to avoid racial abuses from the outside world.

South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes popularly know as AKA tests positive to the dreaded coronavirus as reported on the 10th of July 2020.

In a press release tweeted by AKA, it read;

"Multi award-winning South African musician, AKA, has tested positive for the novel Covid-19 virus.

American singer Keke Palmer has spoken on the protests in the United States, stating that President Donald J Trump might be inciting a race war.
Protests have erupted all over the country on Police brutality and her words were to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

Speaking with Cosmopolitan, Keke Palmer said;

"Of course no one wanted the coronavirus pandemic to happen, but i think quarantine allowed us to be more reflective.

Social media users are not really going to be pleased on hearing that the United States are looking into banning Tik Tok.
And this doesn't just affect the social music app, it affects all Chinese social applications.
In accordance with reports, the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said banning the app is considered due to National security and safety concerns.

During an interview, Mike Pompeo said;

"With respect to Chinese apps on people's cell phones, I can assure you the United States will get this one right too.

It is so bad and disappointing that in this day and age, we still experience racism in parts of the world which is really irritating.
War movies seem to be more than just movies but an insight on what the world is suppose to be rather than how it is.
The movies recently seem to be more than just the shooting that goes on but also the relationship that is built among the soldiers.
First of all we know that soldiers are trained to go above and beyond for their country and they always stand for what is just and true.
But what the world has not picked from these movies is the fact that there is nothing like cultural diversity while on the battlefield.
On the field of battle, there are no Asians, Africans, Europeans, Chicano, West-Indies, there are just people.
No one cares about cultural differences on the field all they care about is not getting killed, they just watch each other's back.
Imagine putting your life in the hands of another person and the person placing his life in yours, because you just see him as a human, that's the soldier way.
If the world wants to be a better place, then we need to think like the soldiers on the battlefield.
This genre is technically there to tell us to avoid the stupid idea of racial difference because deep down we are all humans of flesh and blood and believe it or not, we need each other to survive.
Europeans, Africans, Asians, Americans etc all fought in World War II and they all had worked together to achieve a goal, which was to win, and win they did.
Why The Society Needs To Copy Them
So the world will never be better if we can't look at people from other diversities as just people, we would still be living in the fear of our own beliefs.
Racial discrimination is a thing of the past and should be kept in the past.
