Los Blancos have moved up second place in the La Liga table as they saw Karim Benzema dominate Celta Vigo away from home.

The Frenchman netted two goals and recorded an assist in the 20th, 30th, and 90th minutes of the game.

The team put up an impressive display which proved that they still had the fire in them to win the Spanish title.

Recently, Karim Benzema has been Los Blancos's stand-out player and also arguably the best player in the league so far.

Also importantly, Marco Asensio has taken the role of an impressive super-sub who came in in the 71st minute to seal the deal in dying minutes.

The Spaniard has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time since 2017.

Real Madrid has had an impressive run in the Champions League and are looking to improve their hopes in the La Liga race.

Los Blancos will face Celta Vigo in this weekend's Liga Santander game which will determine how they'll probably end the season.

Although they haven't lost any game since January 30, they have been at a 100% because of the draws they were having.

Celta Vigo seems to be a hurdle they'll have to cross in order to remain in contention for the Spanish title.

Atletico Madrid and Barcelona sit on top of the table but are at arm's length from Madrid.

Los Blancos have already secured their UCL quarter-final spot as they are the only Spanish team left in the competition.

Real Madrid has to bring up their A-game if they do not want the gap extended as the season seems to be gradually drawing to a close.

Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence on Juventus UCL exit after their game against FC Porto.

The forward has lost a third opportunity to secure the UEFA Champions League with the Old Ladies since joining the club.

CR7 has since been under fire most especially and rumors speculate a potential return to former club, Real Madrid.

In his statement, the Portuguese said;

"More important than the number of falls you take in your life, is how fast or how strong you get back on your feet. True champions never break.

"Our focus is already in Cagliari, in the Serie A struggle, in the Italian Cup final, and in everything, we can still achieve this season.

"It's true that the past belongs in museums but unfortunately, football has memory and so do I!

"History can't be deleted, it's written every single day with resilience, team spirit, persistence, and lots of hard work.

"And those who don't understand this will never achieve glory and success."

The Portuguese felt heartbroken that the team has been knocked out yet again three years in a row.

Possibilities of a move are sure since his contract with the club expires in 2022.

Nollywood actor, Jide Kene Achufusi aka Swanky JKA appeared on Rubbin Minds and talked about the challenges in Nollywood.

The actor spoke with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and said that of all the challenges in the industry, stereotyping definitely tops the list.

In his statement, the actor said;

"The biggest problem I have with Nollywood right now is stereotyping, if it's Ghetto movies that are going on right now, everybody will go into Ghetto movies.

"If it's love and comedy, let's go! We don't really do have a plan, we have a structure. It's all about the money.

"So, if I had come to Lagos before the time I did, I would probably have done more roles well and everybody else will put me on that kind of role.

"And that is usually the case when we look at those veteran actors. We usually do not have anybody who has done a lot of things."

American socialite, Kim Kardashian files for divorce from husband Kanye West after almost 7 years of marriage.

According to TMZ, sources say the divorce is amicable.

Kim is said to be asking for joint custody of their four kids and Kanye is fine with having to co-parent.

TMZ also reports that both parties are already far into getting a property settlement, and none of them is contesting a prenup.

The news of getting divorced may not come surprising to the public because their recent developments speak for themselves.

The couple has been living separately for a while with Kim and the kids in Calabasas and Kanye was off in Wyoming.

When Kanye launched his presidential rally, he had a lot of stories about him and Kim which were a bit bizarre.

Ye had later taken shots at the Kardashian/Jenner family, where he had called Kris Jenner "Kris Jong-Un."

Kim later blamed all of Kanye's actions on his serious bipolar disorder making it cruel to end the marriage at that time.

The date for separation has not been listed but it is to be determined.

This will make it Kim's third divorce since the first and second in 2004 and 2o11 with this being Kanye's first divorce.

According to Jonathan Barnett, the Welshman's agent, Gareth Bale still loves Real Madrid right now.

The Wales international has been on loan to English Premier League side and his former club Tottenham Hotspur.

Bale was struggling to fit into Zinedine Zidane's Real Madrid and eventually went on loan to the EPL.

Even now, the Welshman is struggling at Spurs and hasn't featured occasionally on Jose Mourinho's starting xi.

Now, according to Barnett, his Welsh client is still open and eager to return to the Santiago Bernabeu.

In his statement, Barnett said;

"He [Gareth Bale] still loves Real Madrid. He hasn't problems with the club, it's a wonderful club. It wouldn't be a problem [for him to return].

"They just have to decide if they need him back if he can play for Madrid and all these things. I guess you have to ask Mr, Zidane if he wants him, I don't think so."

Nigerian musician, Davido has been named one of the most influential people by Time Magazine making the 100 Next List.

The artist hit this incredible milestone by being named one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2021.

The excerpt was given by rapper and BBNaija Lockdown edition winner, Laycon. In his statement, he said;

"Davido is one of the biggest voices in Afrobeats because his music connects with people, often in ways that transcend his expectations.

"When he released the song "FEM" in 2020, a title that loosely translates to "shut up" in Yoruba, he didn't know it would become a major #EndSARS protest anthem.

"As Youths banded together to demand the government take action to end police brutality in Nigeria last October.

"Officials responded by sending politicians to give speeches. We told the government to keep quiet unless they had something sensible to add - the ethos of  "FEM" was directly related to that moment."

He continued by saying;

"You can tell Davido puts 100% into every song he makes. And the results are clear: his album A Good Time surpassed a billion streams in 2020.

"Afrobeats is a worldwide phenomenon, and Davido is one of many artists who has made that possible; now more and more artists, from Nicki Minaj to Young Thug, want to work with him.

"By bringing Afrobeats to the global stage, he's paved the way for people like you"

Other prominent Nigerians who made the list are Odunayo Eweniyi, Olugbenga Agboola, FK Abudu, and a few others.

Liverpool legend, Ian Rush has written off any possibility of a Mohamed Salah exit to Real Madrid.

The Liverpool all-time goalscorer ruled off the rumors of any possible chance of the Egyptian leaving Anfield.

Mo has been seriously linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu for the past few years but Salah has not been sure of his own future.

The Egyptian had always said that he didn't know what the future holds for him.

Rush stated that he wasn't sure Mo would opt for an exit from the red side of Merseyside. In his comment he said;

"I think Liverpool has a broad appeal.

"Teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid have the history, same as Liverpool and Manchester United, and for him to be linked to any of those clubs means that he is one hell of a player but for me, I think Mo Salah will stay at Liverpool."

Ian Rush had scored a total of 346 goals in all competitions for The Reds.

Manchester City had humbled the Merseyside team at Anfield but the City manager believes that Liverpool still have a title chance.

The blue side of Manchester had condemned the red side of Merseyside to a 4-1 victory getting them 10 points clear of The Reds.

Liverpool seems to have suffered a little bad luck as they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Manchester United.

But despite the bad luck The Red face Pep Guardiola still believe they have a fighting chance and can not be ruled out.

In his statement, Pep Guardiola said;

"Liverpool remains one of the best teams I have ever seen in my life.

"They were able to make an incredible run of 68 or 69 games at home unbeaten, winning by a margin, winning in the last minute, and maybe winning two or three seasons with one defeat.

"So do you think it [going on a bad run] cannot happen to us? Of course, it can."

crazygod:
Exactly. You are not a Liverpool fan. Tell me where in the Op's post did he take a swipe at Mane? You people just follow band wagon hook, line and sinker without thinking for yourselves.
@ Op, continue to copy mirror publication. Nonsense

Bruh... come on it was lowkey a shot although it wasn't a beef....and you don't have to be rude just because you are a Liverpool fan...get your head straight before you get checked....take a chill pill....it is what it is whether you like it or not...

Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has taken a cheeky shot at Sadio Mane after their win against West Ham United.

Sadio Mane had missed the match due to a minor muscle injury and is expected to return to action this week.

With the Senegalese out of action, this gave an opportunity for Divock Origi to start for the Reds.

The Egyptian jokingly hinted that The Reds have one a few matches without the presence of Mane and Roberto Firmino.

During his post-match interview, Salah said;

"It's a good win for us, they are a tough team. We need to win every game now.

"I knew there was a big responsibility on me and I just try every game, not just now to help the team. I've played without them before, and we win also."

The forward talked about his goals and showered praise on Xherdan Shaqiri for the assist he provided.

"It was a lovely ball from Shaq for the second goal, I want to give him credit.

"If it was a little bit short I would have taken it with my left foot, but the ball was exactly at my feet ao I had one touch with the right and then the finish."

Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel was pleased with his team's win against Burnley but was not too gushy about his forwards.

The blues were impressive against Burnley but had to rely on the unlikely of people to record a goal.

Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta both recorded goals for the blues which were very fantastic in terms of finishing.

But despite all that, the German manager still had to talk to his forwards;

"It should be a signal to our guys up front that we needed two defensive players to score! We lack at the moment the precision in the last past.

"We lack precision in the last touch, the finishing. We will work on this absolutely because we had a lot of touches in the box.

"A lot of half-chances, a lot of deliveries.

"In the end, I couldn't care less because we scored with Azpi, and we scored with Marcos, and we are happy to have a deserved win."

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has slammed Chelsea F.C for not been patient with former manager Frank Lampard.

The Englishman was fired as manager of Chelsea due to the poor performances delivered by the team.

The Liverpool legend has shown his displeasure for the fact that the club did not stick with their manager during a crisis.

"I'm gutted for Frank, he's an ex-friend of mine, someone I respect greatly. Knowing the guy he'll be back before no time.

"He'll dust himself down and he'll get ready to get back involved. I think he'll use this time to spend with his family, he's obviously got a young family and one on the way.

"I'm disappointed for him. I thought it was a very swift exit on the back of a positive result at the weekend.

"I don't know how it's been with him, the relationships that he's had inside the club. But I did think it was an opportunity for Chelsea to reach out and support him during this tough period of results, rather than do what they've done.

"But Chelsea has got a history for that, so it was no surprise."

Whereas, there are others who believe that the English man needed more time and the sack was uncalled for.

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has advised that Phil Foden does not emulate fellow midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The manager stated that Foden was in good form but doesn't need to imitate what he does for the team.

Phil was instrumental in Manchester City's 3-1 win against Cheltenham Town where he scored the team's equalizing goal.

And with De Bruyne been out possibly in the coming months, the Englishman may be given a key role.

In his statement, Guardiola said;

"We have the players, Phil has to be Phil and not be Kevin De Bruyne because there's only one Kevin De Bruyne.

"He needs to keep doing what he has been doing in terms of when we are in a bad moment or when we are losing in terms of what he gave to the game.

"Phil is in a great moment and with great confidence. He is clinical in front of goal."
