The Croods 2: A New Age has come up with its box office at $14.2 million in its 5-day holiday debut and $9.7 million over the weekend.

The film launched overseas in seven markets to $20.8 million with China been the highest at $19.2 million.

This is the lowest Thanksgiving chart-topper in decades but Universal and Dreamworks can still see the good side.

The Croods 2 is the first major film opening after Tenet and still managed to come up ahead making it the top debut since the pandemic.

It wasn't really expected for the animated film to actually do this well following the rising Covid-19 cases in the country.

But, never say never.

The animated film played in 2,211 theatres after hundreds of theatres closed due to the recent cases of Covid-19 cases.

Cinemas still open have had to deal with a fewer number in seating capacity.

In a statement, Universal's Distribution Chief, Jim Orr said;

"This shows that even with a difficult theatrical landscape, people want to come out and get together. The film is incredibly charming."

The movie still casts Nicholas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, and some new faces including Peter Dinklage.

Manchester United completed an impressive comeback with Edison Cavani as the topic of tonight against Southampton.

At the end of the first period, the host sat comfortably at 2 - 0 and maintained that scoreline for an hour of the game.

Manchester United seemed to dominate early in the first period but failed to convert a whole lot of chances.

Cavani was introduced in the second half and his magical instincts seemed to rub off on the game.

The Uruguayan found Bruno Fernandes who didn't fail to convert from a superb first touch to make the game 2 - 1.

Cavani then went on to secure the victory for the Red Devils after two superb headers that found the back of the net.

Since the end of the game, Twitter has been buzzing from the Uruguayans performance. Here are some of them;

Manchester United

"Attention ladies and gentlemen:

This is Edison Cavani. This is what he does.

#MUFC

#SOUMON

#PL"

Marc Seager

"That's why @ECavaniOfficial has been on the top for so many years, he's always on the move, always looking to get a goal #SOUMUN"

UtdArena

"Edison Cavani now has 3 goals and 1 assists in just 256 minutes for us - a goal contribution every 64 minutes."

Samuel Luckhurst

"Cavani may no longer be mentioned in the same breath as Falcao. Big challenge was whether he could transmit form from Tuesday night into league games and he did that and then some.

"Proactive of Solskjaer to put him on when he did."

Stewart Gardner

"That 10 PL games @ManUtd have come from behind to beat South Hampton."

Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has urged his club to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.

The blue side of Manchester has been having trouble lately since their poor run towards the English Premier League trophy last season.

It is expected that this season would be a turnaround for the Manchester side but it has not been so thus far.

The team took a bad loss to the London side in Saturday's English Premier League game and now sits in the 13th position on the table.

Anyways, the January transfer window is around the corner and De Bruyne believes that Grealish is the man they need.

Manchester City is set to hold formal talks with Lionel Messi in the January transfer window according to The Mirror.

The Blue side of Manchester lost disappointingly to London side Tottenham in Saturday's English Premier League game.

City is ready to talk to the Barcelona captain due to the fact that by January, the Argentine will have six months left on his contract.

Since the Summer transfer window, the English side is believed to be the best to get the Argentine's signature.

The odds for Messi signing is increased a bit due to the fact that Pep Guardiola has extended his contract.

It is no doubt that the English side has been struggling so far in the Premier League this season.

So far this season, City have only scored 9 goals.

Manchester United legend, Gary Neville had his say regarding City's current form.

"The biggest thing for me is in transition. They are not as quick as getting the ball back. Teams are more comfortable playing a pass through them and taking a risk.

"City used to be all over you like a rash when losing the ball or would just sustain attacks - but it's less than it was before."

These few days have totally been eventful as Paul Okoye slams Davido for taking a swipe at those who attended his birthday party.

I guess we can call these few days a slam jam.

The Okoye twins celebrated their 39th birthday separately, having different parties and we all know why don't we?

Peter had an indoor party while his other half Paul had a couple of celebrities in including Jude Okoye, Harrysongz, and Yemi Alade by a poolside.

But D.M.W's boss wasn't really pleased with those who had decided to attend the separate parties of the musical twins.

In his post which he shared on Twitter, Davido called the attendees p*****s;

"Y'all niggas that wen to Peter and Paul's bday separately y'all pussy as Bleep!! Them niggas is TWINS!! Not my business but Shit hurts I'm angry walai."

But Paul isn't having it as he has shown his displeasure in the D.M.W's boss statement on Instagram stories.

"On what level, and what Audacity do you have to call my family and friends pussy... bro has it come to this? Am highly disappointed with you.

"You don't have the right to insult my family and friends...That's bleeped up."

He also continued saying;

"For your info...90% of those that came to mine still went to his...Same the other way round. And I respect their decision."

Paul had earlier taken shots at his twin brother's wife, Lola Omotayo after she had celebrated the brothers on Instagram.

In her birthday wish she had hoped that they would squash their beef as they both have a special relationship.

Both Okoye twins have been on each other's throats since 2015 before calling the duo quits in 2017.

There were Instagram shades and Twitter slamming and unexpectedly, there was almost a fistfight between the brothers.

Nigerian award-winning artist, Davido has come out to slam everyone who had attended P Square's separate birthday parties.

The Okoye twins celebrated their 39th birthday in a rather non-twin way as they held their own different parties.

One half, Peter had an indoor party while the other half, Paul had a rather public party having in attendance a couple of celebrities.

Some of the celebs in attendance were Harrysongz, Yemi Alade, Jude Okoye, and some others.

This didn't sit well with the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) boss as he felt the twins should celebrate as twins.

He took to slamming the attendees on Twitter.

"Y'all niggas that wen to Peter and Paul's bday separately y'all pussy as Bleep!! Them niggas is TWINS!! Not my business but Shit hurts I'm angry walai."

Earlier, Paul Okoye had gone on Instagram to bash his twin brother's wife after her birthday wishes for the twins.

Both Okoye twins have been on each other's throats since 2015 before calling the duo quits in 2017.

Former member of the defunct P-Square, Paul Okoye also known as Rudeboy has taken to Instagram to shade his twin brother's wife.

The musician took to Instagram to throw shades at Lola Omotayo Okoye over her recent birthday post for the twins.

His Instagram post read;

"At the age of almost fifty, you think you can still be manipulative and always trying to be in control as usual. Well am not there and also Jude is not there anymore which was exactly how you wanted it.

"Aunty for four years we haven't spoken but every 18th of November you come out as usual to type shit and they end up saying 'awww she's a good woman.'

"Meanwhile they don't know the evil things you do behind closed doors. While on the outside, you portray an angel.

"Anyways it's social media era what do I expect. Next year will come again you'll still come and type shit. You know me very well and you know I don't pretend.

"So continue doing what you are doing. You don cast already, no need to expose you that's why I've never said anything because it's family. Let your guilt deal with you."

The singer's post comes in after his twin's wife had wished they called quits to their splits reminding them of their special relationship.

Both Okoye twins have been on loggerheads for quite a period of time before their confirmed split in 2017.

Apparently, billionaire rapper, Kanye West still has his eyes set as he releases his first ads for president.

Although, if the rapper is still serious about the seat, he definitely has a lot of work to do since he has a lot more grounds to cover.

His first political ad could be either right on time or way too late, either way, he has a lot on his hands.

The rapper had shown his interest via a tweet earlier in the year;

"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future. I am running for the President of the United States #2020VISION"

Ye's campaign ad carries Kanye on a podium with the American flag behind him as he gave a message as regards faith, religion, and prayer.

The campaign just debuted on social media.

In a nutshell, the billionaire rapper is telling everyone that he still has eyes on the presidential seat and urging everyone to vote for him.

His campaign is coming in just barely 3 weeks to the election day which could either be a bad idea or a perfectly timed move.

Actor, Brad Pitt has said he wants his time with his children amid ongoing custody battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

Brangelina shook the Hollywood world when Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, but not many are still confused about the breaking point.

A hearing was set to take place on Monday 5th October to discuss Pitt's desire for equal custody of their kids.

As it stands, Brad is looking to the court to intervene in the current battle with his ex.

In November of 2018, the two had come to an arrangement but could not reach an accord on the private judge for their divorce case.

According to a source;

"Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place. Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody.

"She is well structured with the children. Brad has high hopes they can try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting."

The source continues saying;

"Brad, for the most part, has been respectful of Angelina's parenting. While he doesn't agree with everything, he knows she loves the kids and wants the best for them.

"He also knows his love and presence are needed."

The source carried on by saying that Brad has done the best he can just to avoid a court case but now seems to be left with no other option.

"It's important to Brad that the kids don't worry about their parent's current situation and that they don't feel stuck in the middle anyway.

"This is a challenge because of their age, but he's doing what he can."

"Brad has avoided this court scenario for years, and the last thing he would ever want is for this to have a negative outcome for everyone.

"This is about getting his time with the children."

The two tied the knot in 2014 before calling it splits in 2016 they have six children, three sons, and three daughters.

The television created by Ryan Seacrest in 2007 on the E! cable network has run 14 years and will end in its 20th season.

Kim Kardashian had come out earlier to announce the end to the reality show on her Instagram live on September 8.

"To our amazing fans, it is with heavy hearts that we've made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

"After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes, and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who've watched us for all these years."

According to an insider who spoke on the reason why the family decided to end the show;

"The ladies were done with long hours and think they are famous enough without the show to make all their money online."

The 64-year-old momager appeared virtually on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the show's ending after 20 years.

Apparently, the family had decided to end the show in a unanimous decision. And as expected, they'd want to take a break.

"It was kind of sudden. I think we were talking about signing up for another couple of years with our network and suddenly just came to the decision as a group that the whole family thought it was time.

"It just sort of came to us and we thought, 20 seasons, 14 years, hundreds of episodes and lots of spin-offs."

Kris later went on to talk about all that has happened since the inception of the show, also stating that the end of the show was hardest on Khloe Kardashian.

Although with the announcement of the end of the show, a lot of people speculated the 64-year-old joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

This thought she actually denied when asked by Ellen DeGeneres during the show.

Kanye West over the few weeks has come up with a lot of things including a set of new music industry guidelines.

The billionaire rapper had released over a hundred pages of his recording contracts all over Twitter making the week tumultuous.

In the same vein, the rapper had referred to himself as the "head of Adidas" and also the "new Moses" who would free artists from their contracts.

Here are Kanye's new guidelines, what do you think?

1. The Artist owns the copyright in the recordings and songs and leases them to the record label/publisher for a limited term. 1-year deal.

2. The record label/publisher is a service provider that receives a share of the income for a limited term. The split can be 80/20 in the artists' favor.

3. DEPENDANTS: Artists must be dependent on no one but themselves to manage their catalog. You should need no one else to understand the business you're in.

4. LAWYERS: The first thing that changes about Record Deals is actually lawyers. We need Plain English contracts. A lawyer's role is to improve deals, not charge for contracts we cannot understand or track. Re-write deals to be understandable from FIRST READ.

5. Equity and Blanket Licenses are the majority of future income.

6. ADVANCES ARE JUST LOANS. On Artists re-signing. Record companies have to buy into you, not loan you.

7. ROYALTIES: Artists are global, that's why their contract territory says GLOBAL royalty department in every label. No more separating finance teams from the music.

8. PORTALS: Are not just for royalties. They are for your entire business. Every audio file, every asset, every deal stored with the money.
