There is nothing contradictory in Marvel65 messages. His information are correct and are given to us in good faith. This is Nigeria where influence counts for 50% of job slots, both in private and public sector. Those who have really travelled for alot of interviews will know what I am saying.
Regarding DPR, to generalize and say that people didn't get slots on merit, that's a fallacy. Nigerians like to exaggerate alot. Those who claim that there was no merit in the first batch, they do not know the 400 people employed. They know just two or three, and are using this insignificant number to generalize.

The same Marvel65 said in one of his posts that SH candidates in the first batch accounted for over 90%. So if u agree that Marvel's assertions are correct then the person who said merit is negligible in the first batch is also very correct cos less than 10 merit candidates out of every 100 is ACTUALLY NEGLIGIBLE in the context of recruitments. It’s up to the DPR management to choose when they wish to distribute the letters.

Since we have similar problem, i will like to give you a hint about something that is going on underground at FCC. Will send you a Pm kindly respond, and if by any chance you didnt get a pm from me please kindly send me a pm, All what marvel65 shared is correct, but there things that only DPR top management and FCC knows about. I have it from good authority that the recruitment is not over, DPR played a very tricky game and it came out in their favour. If you confirm your name on FCC list you will definately be called, its just a matter of time. I will like to share what a top official at FCC told me but it will be a breach of trust to share such a confidential information on nairaland.

The new resumption date has not been fixed.
If the DPR don’t resolve the pending issues in time, then resumption will be in September. I’m sure everything will be clear next week. Documentation may also be done at the zonal offices.

The DPR is preparing APLs for the next batch.
Lastly, for those that performed well in the exercise and have not yet been called, a big surprise is waiting for you. Don’t give up and keep praying to the Almighty.

I repeat the recruitment isn’t over. The rest yet to be contacted should expect calls soon.

The resumption date has been shifted forward. DPR will notify the successful ones soon.

The new list will be made available to a few when DPR starts calling.

If you are in doubt or wish to voice your grievances regarding the recruitment exercise, I believe the proper channel is through the union members. They are more powerful than you think. You guys should try to reach them before the final meeting. To stage a protest at this time will yield nothing.

Everyone will be ok in the end.

Can this country really change?

Most of us were complaining about the process been hijacked by politician, and in the end those that were so much patience prior to this time are now going about looking for Senator, Governor, etc to help them.

Somebody should tell me how the process can be changed when we are all a victim in one way or the other. If you eventually get the job through connection, how can you effect a change (impossible), since you have decided to follow the same route. by the time you get to that level where you can make the decision you won't be able to do anything to effect the necessary change since someone help you get there, you have to pay back and the same issues that we are complaining about will still continue to repeat itself.

I want to call on those that make it purely through merit and the stakeholder candidate with conscience to think and rethink on the way forward in order to ensure due process is followed in this country.

We want change but to see the desired change, we must change our ways individually. until this is done, we will never see any change.

True talk... I think it might b impossible to completely remove issue of favouritism but what I personally want nd hope for is dat merit shud always get the lion share not d oda way round. It wil b painful if after 2yrs of so much anxiety one is dropped not because u dint merit or do well but simply because someone som where replaced ones name in d name of stakeholder candidate. May God help us

Be rest assured the recruitment is not over. On the 3rd of August the last set of people would be called. DPR has added 5 slots for every state and calls will b made next week.

Yes, you will be called. The list isn’t fake but not complete. There were some merit applicants that were contacted but their names aren’t on this list while the others identified theirs. They are not done calling GT and EH.
Last week, I said something about two applicants that scored over 90% and they were called but their ref. No. were not found on the leaked list.
