Happy Boxing Day to everyone.
Please I need your suggestions on what to do here. I registered for the January 6th IELTS exam with the BC but up till now they are yet to send the speaking test notification to me. All other people I know who also register have gotten the mail. I have paid and my payment has been acknowledged. Im aware that they can still send it few days to the exam but I'm a little worried. Any suggestions please? Is there any other person who is yet to get the mail?

I don't think it has that option. In d past, if u wanna book another date it would refuse .. let alone d same test date. Even if u haven't paid, it wouldn't let u.. May be until BC cancels d booking themselves.

The best solution is to pay and go to their office. I remember when I was registering, I couldn't get them to accept my biodata page, so I uploaded my passport photo on purpose, reaching there, I told them. They sent me a correction link and I uploaded d correct document within d given time.

Thanks elfmann, the challenge I have is that I don't live in Lagos and there is no BC office in my base. Any other way to contact them?

I would try Abbey's suggestion first and give feedback.

Please I urgently need your advice. When registering for my wife's ielts, I inadvertently uploaded her passport photo in the place holder for International Passport. I have submitted the application and gotten confirmatory email already. It just just occurred to me not quite long. Please is it possible to edit or can I cancel and register afresh as I have searched the BC site for where that can be done without results.

Proposed test date is January 2nd 2018.

Please I need suggestions and it's very urgent.

it pain me small oooo. Can listening score be changed in any way.

It's well. Please don't give up. Check out for the areas of weakness in the listening section and develop your self on those. I am positive that the next trial will be successful. You need to get more than 7 in the writing section to claim additional 3 points.

You will get points for two or more certificates with your OND and HND certificates (if you use WES). Bimpsy99 used her OND and HND certificates and her COPR don land gidigba.

WES will evaluate it as 2 years Diploma (OND), 3 years Diploma and 1 year Postgraduate certificate (HND+OND).

Note: Use WES if you need points for two or more certificates

1, I noticed that when filling the EE profile, on the education section there's nothing like 2 or more certificates, you can only fill -in the educational qualifications one at a time. Are they going to merge everything automatically and award the points after I fill in educational qualifications one by one?

2, People have been talking about the ability to edit one's profile even after submitting the EE profile but my experience when I created my first profile (though with errors and eventually ineligible) was that after I clicked on the button "Transmit ", I was unable to edit any of the information again. Could it due to the ineligible profile or I am missing something out? I'm creating another profile now but sceptical about clicking the Transmit button due to my first experience.

Yes! WES evaluated @Tolurigs, @Bimpsy99 and Gustalnov's National Diploma's certificates as "2 years Diploma". @Beyunce evaluated her BSc and National Diploma's certificates also and she got points for two or more certificates (She got her COPR last year)

Thanks for this clarification but the above only mentioned BSC and OND. What of HND and OND? Am asking this question because HND is 2 years. Can it claim points for 2 or more certificates?

Yes create a new one. I don't know how to delete ineligible profiles but it doesn't affect your opening a new one.
Fill the profile carefully this time around, be painstaking, read well and understand any question asked before answering.
As regards your ECA report I am sure you answered no to having an eca report that why you didn't find where to put the the eca report ref number a date.
Bottom line take your time to fill the new profile.

Nb:Do you have your Wes and ielts results already? Did you use the come to Canada tool to check your eligibility?
Please have and do the above first.

Are you using the correct tool? you can't enter manually enter an amount under settlement funds, you can only select a range from a picklist. Did you select the correct dropdown option for settlement funds for your family size?
Did you enter a valid IELTS test date? No later than 2 years ago? Are your scores high enough?
You will be able to enter your children's details after you've been deemed eligible for the express entry pool.

I will check the tool again.

My ielts is good for EE profile

2) I indicated a settlement fund of CAD 22900 for family of 4

3) I did not see any place to fill the details of my other dependants (Children) except for my wife

4) I did not see any place to input my WES Ref number though i saw a place for IELTS TRF No and i have inputed it.

5) After ifilling the form, i clicked a " TRANSMIT INFOMATION" button and my information are now locked and uneditable.

6) What have i not done or done wrongly?

Please I received the following email from WES about my verification. They are not mentioning anything about email. Is this the standard email they send to everyone or they actually sent hard photocopies of my credentials to my school for verification? I need clarification please.

1. I don't think paying additional money will change the channel of communication between your school and WES. The courier fee is for your hardcopy report.

3. I suggest you wait out 14working days then contact your link again. Verification request sent via standard mail won't get to your school earlier than that. Follow-up is key.

Am also waiting for Ado response to verification. The person I called said I should wait for 3weeks. By next week it should be 3weeks for me. Its the hard copy mail sent by WES thru Posting they work with.

You will pay 5k as well for the verification.
Once they have it, they will respond via email first before posting a response letter via courier.

@eyoiba, hasn't d school ever received emails from Wes on verification? They shld know abeg and check that mailbox. Some Nigerian schools eh.. They will be saying only registrar knows the password and he's on leave.

You can write Wes to reconfirm.

I don't know how they deal with WES and that's why I'm reaching out to whoever has done verification with them before.

Wes verification mail takes 14 days to get to the school. You are almost there.

Good evening everyone, please I'm in a dilemma and need assistance. This is a little long but kindly bare with me. I'm doing ECA for my wife and we're stuck at verification stage. My wife's institution is Federal Polytechnic AdoEkiti. Transcript has been sent to wes and already acknowledged. Her transcript process was super fast and I was surprised at the level of the school's transcript processing speed and ease. Her status has changed to "awaiting verification from your institution" since 17th August but that's where the challenge started.

I have contacted the institution and was told that they have not seen any mail from WES. Infact almost all the school's emails have been checked without success. From the way one of their staff spoke, it's like verification is always sent through surface mail which sometimes take weeks before arriving at the school. Then the school replies through surface mail back to wes. The staff however promised to check another email of the school next week but I doubt if they will see anything.

I went back to wes website and I saw where they said they also use regular mail depending on the verifiable channel of communication that an institution use. My challenge however is that I paid for the regular mail option when I registered for her ECA which is not reliable as I never envisaged that the school will use surface mail for correspondence.

Please house I need your help. What should be my next course of action?
(1) Should I contact wes and pay additional money for courier and is this possible? How will I go about it?
(2)Has anyone ever had experience with Fed Poly AdoEkiti and if yes how did you go about it?
(3) Any other advice or suggestions?

I had to use WES because they give higher points for OND/HND.

I am the principal Applicant and I need the points she will add to my score.

Hi everyone. Please I'm here again. My wife's transcript has been sent to WES and it has been delivered to them and signed for by one C Maple since Thursday. This is evidenced via DHL tracking. Up till now her status still remains "Transcript not received".

Please I need suggestions on steps I am to take now to ensure that they acknowledge the receipt of the transcript?

I used UBA too. The BC stated on their website that online payment should not be used. What I did was to purchase Bank Draft of 68k at UBA then used courier to send it to BC from my base. Get someone in Lagos that can purchase the Bank draft early tomorrow from any UBA branch and the person will take it personally to BC tomorrow. You should be fine.

Glory be to God, I got my ielts result yesterday and it out as LRSW 8.5,7.5,7,7. It was my first attempt and I prepared for about 5 months. I could have written the exams earlier but I knew I had brush up some areas where I was weak. I learnt every single thing about the exams on this forum.

I knew I could not afford to fail because that means I would need to pay 68k + 4k (for courier) again, travel to and from my base to Ibadan twice and Lodge in hotel twice so I started reading the posts of those who passed to learn what they did and more importantly, those who failed and learn from their pitfalls (no offence intended).

I felt like registering in May but deep inside me I knew I was not yet ready as my listening was still weak. I intensified efforts by downloading over 50 YouTube listening tests, downloaded Cambridge books 1-12. Diagrams in listening was another headache for me so I downloaded about 25 mainly diagram tests from YouTube. For reading, I started with Cambridge books but someone mentioned ielts buddy and I decided to give it a trial and it was a life-saver for me because it was there I first learnt the trick that I don't need to understand all parts but to pick answers from the passages (please ensure that you understand this concept well before adopting it, I can't explain everything here). For speaking, I downloaded about 20 band 8 speaking videos from YouTube and I also used ieltsallears anchored by 2 funny ladies ( just use google)

However, I neglected writing. Though I practiced writing some letters and essays, I did not take time to practice enough and learn the format for each type of letter and essay.

Let me state at this point that I am not that good at English I am just average at the language but I knew that if my immigration dream will ever come true I had to cross the ielts bridge and I put my mind at it. I learnt every single thing I know about the test from this place.

On the test day, I was one of the 1st sets of candidates to get to exams venue at 6:00am and with sanitation exercise in place I didn't want to take any chances. My writing was a mess because I had to cross several parts in the essay part and some grammatical errors eg sensor instead of censor. Please endeavor to use pencil in your writing as it makes your job neater.

In conclusion, I prayed and committed the test in Gods hand. in my mind I thought I would fail the writing test but God did it for me.

God that did it for me will give everyone preparing for the test enviable result.
