CityNG: I left Nigeria a long time ago, 1986.

Back then Nigeria was still good (in my opinion sha).

We used to sneak out of hostel at night in Ijebu Ode and ride our motorcycle to The Shrine on Friday when Abami Eda was playing.

We'll leave Ijebu Ode on motorcycles at 8PM and come back from Ikeja around 4AM. You can't try that now I understand with all the bad roads (we actually though they were bad back then, little did we know it would get worse).

But yes Nigeria has some fine Lawyers and I hope one them will mount a good case for this poor Boy as he suffered.

PS: One thing is that whoever tore the passport committed a diplomatic crime against Nigeria. Our passports actually belong to the government and must be surrendered when requested. All they could do is stamp cancelled on their visas (if any) and have no right to tear it. The Nigerian Ambassador should protest over there and the Minister of Foreign Affairs should call the Egyptian Ambassador in over here to explain.
Wow!! Yeah Nigeria was good then and all those things you did cannot be tried now due to the level of security in the country and bad roads. Yes agreed that in Nigeria we have good lawyers that can handle this case and bring justice to the boy and his family.I also hope the family of the boy are seeing to this. @ the emboldened,i completely again agree with you and this is another case that should be of great interest for the Nigerian government even if they are reluctant to follow up on the humiliation Egyptair made the poor boy go through. This is also the part that i detest the Nigerian government because when you need them to take action and proof a point is when you are totally disregarded. Moderators (Richiez, olawalebabs, Fynestboi) this deserves front page...

CityNG: 1) Like Fela said, we're not ready for changes. If we are this can be done in a month. We have money in foreign account and I know money makes things happen.

2) I stand corrected and you're right some folks will have appointments, business or otherwise. They can forgo those appointments for the greater good of the country.

Hope you're having a nice evening.
My brother this one you are quoting Fela all the time,it seems you love agbami-eda's music so much oooo cheesy grin? I understand your point completely but in Nigeria i don't see that happening within 1 month. The government doesn't care at all and some of them have their own private jets or they hire when travelling out of this country. This is an opportunity to proof a point by using Egyptair as a scapegoat. I wish a very good lawyer can handle this case and bring justice to the Boy and his family so other Airlines could sit-up.

Yeah the evening is cool and we blessed God for that.

Cheers

CityNG: 1) How's what possible? You set up a new airline by contacting with an existing airline company. Any aircraft flying any color can be called Nigerian Airways if they are working as Nigerian Airways. If our leaders are serious any of the existing companies that are flying out of Nigeria will gladly contract out as Nigerian Airways if they will make money for there shareholders.

2) Passengers don't have appointments they have reservations. You can cancel your reservations and even forfeit any money paid. No Pain, No Gain. Fela said it all "we are not suffering enough because no one wants to die to make a change"

3) It doesn't sounds like anything at all in my ears. What it does is that it makes perfect and solid sense to me though. YMMV.

4) I know this may seem strange to you but I actually only type exactly what I mean. I don't write to please people and you're free to disagree with me and even vehemently if you wish or better yet state your OWN opinion.
My brother, good you mentioned your own opinion because i don't see that happening in Nigeria within 1 month as mentioned by you. The word appointment wasn't related to airline appointments as understood by you but rather business engagement outside the country.
EducationRe: Egypt Air Wrongly Routed A Nigerian Student To Moldova by Eyop: 6:00pm On Sep 13, 2014
Wizcollifa: they tore your passport and you didn't even react. I was once slap an SA police because he tried to tear my passport. I Love my country Nigeria that I can die for it.
17 years old boy that already went through a lot and you expect him to react? Arabs can be so crazy sometimes and remember that's their territory and one needs to be careful.
EducationRe: Egypt Air Wrongly Routed A Nigerian Student To Moldova by Eyop:
CityNG: Nobody must book any flight until the government establishes Nigerian Airways again. It can take them as little as 1 month to get this done if they wanted to.
And how's that possible? So what happens to those that have appointments? They should suspend all their appointments for 1 month? How does this sound in your ears? Except you meant to say no one must book Egyptair then good and fine.
RomanceRe: Nairalanders Share Your Blind Dates Experience Here by Eyop: 4:46pm On Sep 13, 2014
omotenah: Na my own experience be this

On our first and absolutely only date, dude met me near my workplace so that we could go to our dinnerplace (we hadn't decided that beforehand, for some reason). We agreed on a restaurant which is a bit far and dude decided he wants to walk there rather than taking a taxi or a bike (at least). Though i was quite busy and got some work to do, I tried to be a good girl and agreed.

We were on our way and he started walking kinda too slow and didn't even bring up a conversation (very awkward)... then I was thinking, I'd have prefer if we took a taxi rather than walking, which would have been fine had It not been that I got loads of work on my desk and could eat my own arm due to hunger.

Well finally he started talking and after some really terrible, one-sided conversation about his business, we near the restaurant, and he announced that he's actually not all that hungry because he had a late lunch. At this point, I was so red-faced and would have shot him due to my anger (that ain't literal tho)

THEN, He insisted that instead of dinner, we should go to his absolute-favorite-in-the-whole-world ice-cream shop, which just happens to be a couple of blocks away. Stupidly, I agreed, thinking that maybe things would go better on this 'date' if we could just sit down somewhere indoors and get to know each other like normal human beings do on a date.

So we entered this tiny, tiny ice-cream shop, and I noticed that there were only four chairs and tables, really – in the whole place, placed very close together in a tiny corner with a tiny little counter, and I started to get nervous. Dude went straight to the ice-cream counter, mmmmh! the roasted chicken at the other end got my attention and surreptitiously gnawed my hand. I turned back around, and BAM – it's a "kiss ambush". Like, his face is all up in mine, I freezed in shock/panic.

He took that as a positive sign, I guess. I don't know why I didn't flee at this point, but I think it had to deal with the shock, and the fact that he had already ordered two ice-cream (yes, he ordered for me; no, he didn't ask what flavor i wanted), and at that point I was so hungry that I was ready to tear into some of that roasted chicken with my teeth like an animal.

Dude ushered me, still stunned, into the tiny little corner onto one of the chairs. He took another chair, and then puuuulllllled my chair closer to him. I got frozen up in horror and somehow time had both sped up and slowed down and I don't even know what. He then mentioned that his absolute favorite flavor of ice-cream is mango, which he'd ordered for himself but not for me. We should share his (so what should I do with the one you got for me) I was just staring at him blankly at this point, until his spoon (which he'd already used, yea I knw gross right?) coming at my face with a load of mango ice-cream.

He fed me ice-cream. He actually pressed the spoon to my closed lips until I opened my mouth. At this point, I busied myself with drinking water to avoid being fed further spoonfuls of ice-cream and faked an emergency phone call with a nearby friend. I made excuses, and ran out of there to her place, where I managed to obtain real food, and laughed and cried and laughed.

Well, I should have been way less polite and more assertive about my own needs.

He messaged me the next day, asking for another date but what I did to him is a story for another day smiley

Pretyangel25: no job yet. she's a Fresh graduate
Ok not a problem, there must be a way out for her. She should zero her mind completely from abortion. Let her meet with the guy first and discuss one on one with him but if he denies, she should gladly keep the child. She's not the first to encounter such and won't be the last.

Tallesty1: Why not? [s]But I don't deposit fluids and no girl dey open leg for me.[/s]

Any guy that gets a girl pregnant should be ready to be a father, no excuse. Likewise the woman, If she can open her legs to recieve a child then she should also be a strong enough to stand up and be a mother.grin

Not so my brother. So you want to tell me that the girl(s) that open leg for you and you pour whatsoever fluid in there,if it results to pregnancy & i address this same statement to you, will that be OK? Meaning you were also ready for the outcome?

Pretyangel25: No shes not in any relationship for now. on how she take-in is what I dont know
Good,She should visit her EX and inform him about it. I don't support abortion because who knows if that was the only child she was destined to have in this life(God forbids anyway) so what happens when she aborts it? Apart from that, she should also consider the dangers associated with abortion so is either the EX accepts the pregnancy or she should raise the child.
RomanceRe: She's Pregnant For Her Ex!!!!! by Eyop: 1:49pm On Sep 13, 2014
Coldfeet: I didn't read where the op said her sister is in another relationship o! She said they broke up a month ago!!!!!
I am also not sure and that was my own personal opinion. 1 month isn't long and if she's sure that the EX is responsible for the pregnancy, she should go back and inform him about it but if he denies it,i suggest she keeps the baby.

Pretyangel25: My sister confided with me this morning that she's pregnant for her ex ( they both broke up last month ) and she wants me to advice her on what to do with the pregnancy whether to tell the guy or to quietly abort it.

please nairalanders should she abort it or leave it? mature advice plz
If she was aborted, would she be opportuned to get pregnant today? I believe she's currently in a relationship with the new man,how did she manage to take-in for her EX? Your story isn't complete so be more descriptive for better advice.
