Family / Re: Is It Obligatory To Change Number After Marriage Basically For Women? by Eyop: 9:10pm On Apr 13, 2016

My ex is happily married but we remain best of friends. We still talk regularly on the phone and his wife knows, so ki ni big deal? It is only an insecure person that will demand their spouse change numbers because they're now married

Well if you say so. Whether number is changed or not is never the point because the new number can still be gotten through another means. I guess the husband does not trust the wife. But come oooh, what are you still discussing with your ex u wanna be the 2nd wife

Nna, biko jiri nwayo. No car, I repeat, no car can take you from Lagos to the east without stopping to refill.

You are wrong. A 2006 Toyota Corolla took me from Lagos to Imo State without stopping to refill. A Lexus RX330 has also taken me from Lagos to Owerri though it was already indicating low fuel. The distance from Lagos to the East is almost same like from Lagos to Abuja which full tank of Toyota Matrix also took me from Lagos to Abuja without stopping to buy fuel.

They dont understand when we say "emotionally and financially READY". They think its a joke. My friend that married and went to honeymoon in two countries was "blessed" win twins. Now, his hair is like a rasta. I think he is losing his mind. You go buy petrol and diesel tire to keep house cool for babies. Come buy SMA Gold and cartons of pampams, handle DTSV and electric bills and pay salaries of nannies and cleaners, then enter real game of families...LOL, no be joke.

Thanks for your comment.

One reason I don't like the 350 is that it doesn't come with luxury suspension, I don't like sport suspension on the W204 as it is stiff for my liking.
But one thing I also don't like about the facelifed is that the C300 sport or luxury come only in 4matic.

But I like the fact that the facelifed C300 luxury has 248hp, this power is sufficient for me, I can live with the 4matic but I don't know how reliable.

For the W204, my choice will definitely be the 2012 C350 Sports because most of the issues with the early W204 were corrected in 2012 and above. Also direct injection engine was introduced in this year.

I do not like the C300 but like you rightly said, they are equipped with the 4matic though reviews also shows that 4matic isn't problematic as it used to be so you should also not be worried about reliability.

that is where I love the. North, very minimal corruption in things like this, I paid the exact amount for my self and my wife in the bank, and we did not pay a kobo extra when we went to FRSC office.

Mine was not even in the North but at Bariga.

This has been the standard procedure since the DL was introduced that is why even though the DL is officially 6k5,no body has ever paid the actual fee and acquired one in the history
It has been a room the govt have delibrately opened to corruption.
2yrs back when I did mine, some people were asked to go and bring their cars down for test cos they followed the right way. Lol yea normal procedure.I overhead some on the queue saying "where dem want get car to test all of us"and was like is that for real, are we gonna be tested?when it got to my turn I was just signed passed and those that were saying so were requested to go and bring their cars for test.lol
If you have settled they don't give you the highway code booklet and give those that have not settled, once the officer see u with the highway code booklet,he know u ave not settled and stresses .
Same applies with the International Passport,
Maybe the Ministers death and tales of his driver not having a valid license now prompted their recent going by the books, but dem go soon tire, though dem egunje go cum plenty oh

@ the emboldened, I paid #6,350 for my renewal with no additional cost. I only gave #200 at the VIO office and additional #300 when i went back for collection of the original after the temporary one issued to me expired.

They're already married. I have a doctor friend who knows her. I placed a call through to him now and he said they're married already. I learnt she is the first born of her parents and she is not the confrontational type. My friend claims their friends who were present at their wedding have been arrested by the girl's parents. It seems her family is influential. The law has joined them already and it late for the parents.

Lets us leave the aspect of being influential. The question is where they married Traditionally?

Even if they have their reasons and intimated the girl about it but insisted it must be the guy, the proper thing to do is leave them alone. It's about their happiness as a couple and not her parent's.

We still do not know their reasons for rejecting the guy because the story is incomplete. But like i said, i do not support any marriage that parents are against to avoid future problems. Agreed they are Adults but marriage is a life time thing.

grin My thoughts exactly, we are not hearing the whole story

Except there's no valid reason for rejecting the guy but even with that,i do not support any marital rites without parents approval. The guy might be flexing muscle at the early stage claiming that he has succeeded in marrying their daughter and it ends there but if by chance something happens to their daughter(DEATH) in future, that's when he'll know that khaki no be leather mostly if the girl comes from a strong traditional root.

Okay accepted, you go and marry a rich man's daughter without consent from her parents

cheesy cheesy don't mind them like if they can also allow that if it happens to their own daughter. The parents of the girl must have their reasons for rejecting that guy from the onset.
