ovkie: Not cos of speed but issues with the kompressor which is very pricey as suggestedI thought you would say is because of speed because i can confirm to you that the Kompressor can measure up with a V6 Engine anyday anytime but as for the issues.i don't know of any and even if there'll be an issue in future,it's very cheap to repair and most time is just to change the clutch and nothing more. Kompressor is a performance monster and very economical compared to the naturally aspirated engine that will slightly consume more fuel than a kompressor. All the same stick to the C320 and ensure you thoroughly inspect using a qualified mechanic before you pay. |

ovkie: Ok. Make Benz take am easy oooRemember benz service is once a year if you make use of 0w-40 Full Synthetic motor oil and parts replaced on benz last very long unlike the Japanese. Just ensure that the ride is in a perfect condition before you buy and you won't experience problems. |

ovkie: Thanks smartchoice. I do know quite a few Benz mechanic workshop where lots of Benz owners fix their cars. Just yesterday, a friend who drives C280 (no sure about the other detail) said at least I should set aside 100,000 for repairs and maintenance yearly. You think he's right?It's not a must that you spend such an amount of money every year. That's like an estimate,it may be lower or higher. |

ovkie: Thanks Eyop, yes I do know of a mechanic that most Benz owner patronizeOk then. I will suggest you either get the 2005 C230 Kompressor or the 2006 C230 naturally aspirated engine. But the 2006 comes equipped with 7 speed tiptronic gearbox. |

tsiriman: I heard that the 2008/2009 C-class is notorious for EIS (steering lock module) failure at around 70kmiles, don't know how true shaa.You heard right and 2008/2009 and partly 2010 were greatly affected by EIS failure and it's very expensive to fix which you'll have to wait for more than a month to get it completely fixed since it has to be programmed in Germany. However,if you could step up a bit to like 2011 or 2012,then you won't have an issue. But sincerely,if you must go for the W204 Benz,avoid the 2008/2009 but 2010 is Ok. |

100Cents: Hahaha, short time indeed.So many people paying as much as #40,000 for a night aren't doing so just because of the comfort but security is their no 1 consideration. Though i understand that the amount is much but you won't blame them for doing so considering the level of insecurity in Nigeria. |
