Religion / What Do U Think About Your Church Now by Ezebohirepurcha(m): 1:45pm On Sep 19, 2018
In view of d fact that the purpose of church are to:

Provide a focal point for the worship of God.
Oversee the pure practise of the sacraments.
Be the source of teaching from God's word.
Be a community that displays the love, authority, and relationships of the Trinity.
Intentionally make disciples.

Be sending agency for cross-cultural mission.

Be a community that encourages dependency upon God and interdependence with one another.

Be the visible establishment of God's rule on earth

Support the family in its role.

Can we say the churches of today are on track. If yes or No. Why. Give reason.
Politics / Assessment Metrics For Leading Parties by Ezebohirepurcha(m): 1:37pm On Sep 19, 2018
In view of the fact that the purpose of Government are to:

Oversee justice by creating legal systems, laws, courts, and policies; by punishing criminals; and by rewarding those who do good.

Oversee economic and social order by implementing social and economic policies

Ensure that infrastructure is built and maintained; to ensure that effective welfare system exist (they don't have to be owned by government- and may be better operated by private organizations).

Create and maintain currency for trade

Defend national borders and pursue national interests abroad.

Provide stability for commerce to thrive.

Protect the religious organisations and the family and enable them to perform their roles.

Do you think. APC is the party to depend on. For me I think Capital No.
Politics / Political Structure That Works by Ezebohirepurcha(m): 9:25am On Sep 14, 2018
California is the 6th largest economy in the world. It's economy is larger than that of France or Brazil. The little problem is that California is not a country. It is a State in the United States of America. It has little offshore oil, yet its economy is larger than States in the US that are famous for their oil reserves, like Texas.
California generates much of its revenue from non-oil products. It found a way to absorb and domesticate much of the intellectual output from its premier university, Stanford University, into saleable products within its economy.
As a matter of fact, much of California's economy is built around Stanford University. So with this, Silicon valley developed. I'm sure you've heard of Silicon Valley at least once in your life. Now with Silicon Valley came companies like Apple, eBay, Cisco, Lockheed, Hewlett Packard (HP), Google, Netflix, Facebook, Oracle, Tesla...and the list goes on and on ad infinitum. These are multibillion-dollar companies. The yearly budget of any one of these companies might be larger than the entire yearly budget of, say for example, Akwa Ibom State. I'm taking about companies that are richer than countries. They are all in California. But that is just in the technology industry where the technologies and inventions spewing out of Stanford are caught midair and converted to money spinning enterprises.
But there is also the entertainment industry in California. Yes, Hollywood is in California. The US movies industry contributes about $504Billion to USA's GDP. Hollywood, as you know, contributes over 70% of that figure. Most iconic movie studios are in Hollywood. As a matter of fact, the "Big Eight" consisting of 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, MGM (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer), Paramount Pictures, RKO Radio Pictures, United Artists, Universal Studios and Warner Bros are, or were, all in Hollywood. These again, are multi-billion dollar companies generating revenue for California.
Despite the above, California also thrives on agriculture. As at 2014, California had nothing less than 77,000 farms and ranches raking in about $55Billion in revenue yearly. It produces over 400 agricultural commodities, a large chunk of which it exports. It is the leader in producing exotic fruits in America. Its wine industry is unique. California wine is drunk with relish the world over. I used to drink some too.
This is just one State in America. You see, California actually had a choice of sitting back and striving to get a piece of the revenue generated from Texas' oil. It could have depended solely on Federal allocation to survive so that every month end, it will send its Commissioner of Finance to Washington DC to receive monthly allocation so that it can barely pay salaries of its workers and nothing more. Then San Francisco would resemble Ajegunle in Lagos. And there certainly would not be those beautiful sights and sounds that make California what it is today. But No, not California. Not America. California gives to the center and, because of its wealth, despises the idea of depending on it for survival. The Federal Government actually needs California to survive, not the other way round.
You see, America is structured in such a way that States must look inwards to exploit their wealth for the good of its citizens. There is no free lunch for the lazy States. There certainly is no commonwealth. But there is your wealth, if you can create it. Under American Federalism, you are the captain of your ship. But again, you are also the waves upon which the ship will sail. That is America. The local government, the government closest to the grassroot, is deliberately made the strongest level of government. Items like Variances (adaptation of state law to local conditions,) Public works (yes, public works!!), Contracts for public works, Licensing of public accommodations, Assessable improvements, Basic public services are all left for local county governments to handle. The State handles weightier matters like Property law, Education,Commerce laws of ownership and exchange, Banking and credit laws, Labour law and professional licensure, Insurance laws, and Electoral laws, including parties and Civil service laws. Items that the Federal Government, the center, handles affecting the States, are actually very negligible.
Nigeria on the contrary will never do well unless we restructure. We pretend to have a Federal system but we are actually operating a unique form of unitary government, and it is weighing the polity down. Can you imagine a country where the school curriculum is regulated by a national central body and states have no powers to vary or amend their curriculum? So, if the rest of the developed world is light years ahead in what they teach their children from primary schools, and our Minister of Education has absolutely no clue, the States must be burdened with antiquated school curriculum until such a time (if we are lucky, before rapture perhaps!!) that we have an Education Minister who would realise how far behind we are and bring the curriculum up to date. Just take a look at the science curriculum for grade students in advanced countries and you would cry for Nigeria. I recently read of a high school in Japan which has amended its curriculum to include robotics and drones technology. IN HIGH SCHOOL!! But our Professors here don't have a hang on Robotics even! Students are still taught the very prehistoric rudiments of physics and chemistry in our schools. And this is even in the few schools that teachers and students still meet in the classrooms! For the few public schools that are lucky to have labs, all you see are miserable nameless creatures trapped in formalin, to which nobody ever pays attention. These creatures suffer a double jeopardy having suffered the first misfortune of being caught and preserved in formalin in Nigeria, and then thereafter completely ignored, even in death! And because the control of our curriculum is central, there is nothing States can do about this.
You would think this is not a problem until you understand that Nigerians spend over ONE TRILLION NAIRA every year to study abroad. You see, the reason why you have Cambridge, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Oxford, etc is not only for academic excellence of the citizens of the countries which have these schools. No. They invest in their institutions so that they can earn revenue from foreign students from countries like Nigeria which has destroyed its educational system. Abroad, schools are so important to society that the economy, business and lifestyle of whole cities and even States completely depend on or revolve around schools. What would the city of cambridge be without Cambridge University. Or Cambridge, Massachusett without Harvard University. These cities depend on these universities to survive. And imagine that Nigeria had invested in its universities and was earning $1billion dollars a year from foreign students seeking to study here, who would be fighting over oil in the Niger Delta? How many car manufacturing companies would we have in Owerri near FUTO where students are constantly doing and selling their research products to burgeoning engineering and manufacturing companies? Recently, three students in Sweden conducted research and came up with a product that could improve wear and tear on tyres. The product became so successful that Volvo had to partner with these students to patent the product. Now when this product hit world stage, can you imagine how much revenue sweden would earn from these product? Do your research, most of the world-class products we buy today off the shelf, at great cost, were invented by university students. As you are reading this, do not forget that without Harvard University, there would not have been facebook, and this our interface would have been impossible.
But our students In Nigeria are not entirely without inventions. We invented the Pyrates Confraternity, the , the Eiye, the Vikings and what not!! Students resume school with guns and bullets, rather than books and scholastic ideas, as though academic institutions were a war college. Lecturers fly colors as do students. And when the turf war begins, people die in droves. But States can do nothing about this because some of these institutions are controlled by the Federal Government. Even for the ones controlled by States, you still can't do much because the security apparatus is controlled by the Federal Government. The Federal Government will provide or withdraw security from the State, depending on whether it is happy with the sitting Governor. So every year, all sorts of characters are vomited from Nigerian Universities to take their place in Nigerian society. So you have Judges, Lawyers, Engineers, Doctors and so forth whose first and primary allegiance is to their cult group, before the Country. The multiplier effect of this, is a treatise for another day.
But suffice to say that as long as this problem persist, let's forget about Silicon Valley in Nigeria, because there will never be a Stanford University here to provide an infinite supply of ideas and prodigies to feed the invention value-chain!
Nigeria cannot wake up from its slumber today because it cannot lift its head. The entire weight of its existence is concentrated in its head. From the viewpoint of government, the weight is In Abuja. From the viewpoint of revenue source, the weight is in the Niger-Delta. We need to urgently restructure and evenly distribute this pressure points and weights to diffuse tension in Nigeria.
We need to revisit the exclusive legislative list in the constitution and systematically reduce the responsibilities of the Federal Government vis-a-vis the States. Resources have to be handed back to the States that generated them but place an obligation on each States to contribute an agreed percentage to the common federal purse to service obligations of the Federal Government. There is no reason Education, Policing, Prisons (only people convicted of federal offenses should go to federal prisons!!), Ports, Inland waterways, natural minerals, even marriage (yes, english form of marriage!!) and so many other items should be the concern of the Federal Government. We will never develop with such weight that weigh us down at the center. Nigeria can never raise its head in the comity of nations because of the sheer weight of the head.
There is more to say, but scarcely any time. But to emphasis the point i've been laboring to make, shall i say again that there is absolutely no reason or need to fight for oil in the Niger-Delta. There are so many things that can bring more revenue to States in Nigeria than oil. South Africa has no oil, but it has Gold, and is richer than Nigeria. Let us fight for a system that will promote both equality and equity. Let us restructure Nigeria

A LAWYER CANNOT ENGAGE IN THE BUSINESS OF SELLING LANDS FOR CLIENTS, SAYS COURT

It was settled in a court judgement in 2013 that a lawyer has no requisite educational learning, practical training, certification/licensing, & any backing in law to either sell or lease or manage land, buildings & facilities for clients in Nigeria.
See below the court judgement on this matter in 2013:

=================================

Did you know that the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) for lawyers in Nigeria does not allow lawyers to sell land?

Well, read the case of NBA v Ibebunjo (2013) 18 NWLR (Pt.1386) and find out how selling lands for clients can make a lawyer to be derobed!
(Note: NBA means “Nigerian Bar Association”)

On whether the business of selling land is incompatible with the practice of law, the Judge held as follows:

By virtue of rule 7(3) of the Rules of Professional Conduct, the business of selling land is a trade or business incompatible with the practice of law. In the instant case, the respondent was clearly doing illegal business to sell land.

“As it relates to count 2, it is clear beyond per adventure that the business of selling land is a trade or business incompatible with the practice of law. Rule 7(3) clearly provides the category of business that are compatible with the practice of law. From what we have reproduced above the respondent was clearly playing with fire when he was using the platform of his legal practice to sell land. The justice of this case demands that we allow him go full time into his main business of selling of land and to leave the business of practicing law to those who are bona fide legal practitioners.”

FURTHER COMMENTS ON THE ABOVE COURT JUDGEMENT

The truths on the business of selling or leasing or managing lands, buildings & facilities for clients in Nigeria, are that:

1. Lawyers only have the requisite educational learning, practical training, certification, backing in law and backing in the “Rules of Professional Conduct” for lawyers in Nigeria, to get involved ONLY in the following areas:

* Advising or giving a legal opinion to clients on land title documents & tenancy agreements,

* Drafting of land title documents & tenancy agreements for clients,

* Filing & handling of cases in court, for clients.

2. Any person who is not a lawyer but has a good understanding of the tenancy law is legally qualified to write & serve Quit Notices to tenants, because there is no law in Nigeria that has reserved this function for lawyers only, as it is erroneously believed by the public for decades.

3. The only persons that have the requisite educational learning, practical training, certification/licensing & the backing in law to sell or lease or manage lands, buildings & facilities for clients in Nigeria, are ONLY the "Registered/Licensed Estate Surveyors & Valuers" who are members of the "Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers” (NIESV) and are Registered/Licensed by the "Estate Surveyors & Valuers Registration Board of Nigerian" (ESVRBN) which was created by the Federal Government of Nigeria with Decree 24 of 1975.

Posted by: Rianat Sanni in Interviews, Real Estate August 15, 2018 0

This interview addresses the issue of buying and selling lands by Lawyers
Ezra .A. Akintonde is a legal practitioner with over 6 years of experience in Defamation, Tourism & Hospitality, Corporate & Commercial as well as Criminal Litigation. He is a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State where he bagged an LL.B (Honours) degree.

He is company secretary to more than eight companies and is well versed with legal and regulatory requirements of corporate organizations. Between 2012 and 2014, he served as a key member in organizing the G.M Ibru & Co Seminars on Defamation Law and Seminar on Tourism and Hospitality Law.

NREH: What pitched your interest to go into real estate?

Barrister Ezra: Real Estate has always been one of the areas that caught my attention while I was young. While studying law at Olabisi Onbanjo University, I was introduced to real estate law as a subject. When I was in school, it was called Land Law. It was and is still a very interesting subject for me. I loved it better when it was introduced again in law school as property law practice. I love real estate law so much because it is the business of providing shelter for humans and shelter is one of the basic needs of every human. I had to take up real estate briefs in order to help combat the deterioration currently experienced in the real estate sector. Another reason is to help resolve disputes between landlords and tenants and also to help prevent future adverse occurrences by providing sound real estate advisory services.

NREH: How have you been able to combine it (real estate) with your profession as a Lawyer?

Barrister Ezra: As a lawyer, real estate law and practice are one of the basic areas I find quite intriguing. For me, it’s more of a passion than a job. My work as a lawyer is complementary to real estate practice.
According to the Land Instrument Preparation Laws of the Various states, Lawyers are exclusively empowered to draft land documents such as Deed of Assignment, Lease Agreement and more. So you see, it is part of my duty as a lawyer to ensure that property transactions are well documented. (smiles).
My firm also advises clients on real estate matters and I always take active roles during such occasions.
So I will say it’s not been difficult combining real estate practice with my job as a lawyer.

NREH: Are you of the opinion that Doctors are treated better or are more respected than lawyers in Nigeria?

Barrister Ezra: Each profession has its own ups and downs. I believe that lawyers deserve a lot more respect than they are currently being accorded. Lawyers hold the fabrics of the society together. They have to interface and provide services to and in every organization. Yes, I believe doctors are being treated better than lawyers in terms of wages and salaries. I may not be able to provide the accurate statistics off hand but take for instance a lawyer working in the Ministry of Justice and a Doctor working in one of the Government Hospitals. If you look at what both of them earn, you will see that there is a huge disparity.

*NREH: Can a lawyer be a real estate agent?*

*Barrister Ezra: Being a lawyer doesn’t stop you from practicing other professions. Yes, as a lawyer you can engage in real estate agency. I have friends who branched into other practices after they were called to bar. Lawyers are everywhere. They are in politics, the media, military, and what have you. One typical example I will like to give is Falz, popular musician and son of Femi Falana SAN. Although Falz is a lawyer, he, however, left the legal profession and went into music as a full-time career.*
*Why then can’t lawyers be in real estate business?* *There are lawyers who have a degree in estate management.*
*However, as a lawyer, you cannot practice as a legal practitioner while also engaging in other businesses.* *One has to give way for the other.*

*NREH: Rule 7(3) of the Rules of Professional Conduct states that the business of selling land is a trade or business incompatible with the practice of law.*
*What’s your take on this?*

*Barrister Ezra: Well, the rule is binding on all lawyers that are practicing the profession. According to the Rules of Professional Conduct for lawyers, certain businesses are incompatible with your status as a lawyer. If you are practicing as a legal practitioner, you are not expected to engage in the business of selling land. What the rule is trying to prevent is a situation where law firms will start engaging in buying and selling of lands as a business. If you want to go into the business of buying and selling lands then you will be required to put aside your law practice. You can’t be an active legal practitioner and still be selling land through your law firm.*
*However, in a situation whereby your client engages you in such a transaction, you can be of help to dispose of the client’s property.*You can take all steps necessary for such disposals including advertising and marketing of the property. This is clearly different from a lawyer buying and selling land just to make profit.*
*As a matter of fact, the business of buying and selling Lands or buying and selling generally is prohibited for practicing lawyers.*
*If however, you are a lawyer who has chosen not to practice then you can be engaged in whatever business you want.*

NREH: With the advent of technology, do you think real estate agents will soon go into extinction?

Barrister Ezra: Many professions will become obsolete, not just real estate agents. Bankers, Teachers, Drivers, Store attendants, Secretaries and a lot more and even doctors, mechanics, but we are looking between ten to twenty years from now.

NREH: If you have the opportunity to choose between Abuja and Lagos to continue your practice, which would you go for?

Barrister Ezra: I’ve heard that Abuja is the city of the biggest fishes in the river but when compared to Lagos, there is more for a lawyer in Lagos than in Abuja. If I have the same briefs in Abuja as I have in Lagos, why not? I will prefer Abuja.

NREH: How do you relax?

Barrister Ezra: I see a lot of movies because I learn a lot while getting entertained. I also like to be on the internet watching YouTube videos. Occasionally I hang out with friends and family.
[07:40, 8/28/2018] ‪+234 807 514 2528‬: From the above submission from my amiable learned friend and colleague who is also a member of this class. I have highlighted the basic questions and answers we need here in *BOLD* words as pasted below :

*There is no argument on this position of law and fact, cos its true*

2. Any person who is not a lawyer but has a good understanding of the tenancy law is legally qualified to write & serve Quit Notices to tenants, because there is no law in Nigeria that has reserved this function for lawyers only, as it is erroneously believed by the public for decades.

*There is a partial argument:* One thing about law is that to every rule, there is an exception. The general rule is that, only a lawyer is allowed to prepare a legal documents, which we have all learnt from a previous class in this forum too. Now, the ability for a Landlord or his Agent to issue a Quit Notice is also not in dispute either as can be seen in *Form TL2* and *Form TL3* of the Lagos Tenancy Law. But, this is a dangerous step to take if all that is required is not put in place in the notice in terms of drafting and service delivery of same. This one singular act, can jeopardize the case of a Landlord if he eventually has to take his Tenant to Court to recover possession. Thus, it's advisable to engage the services of a Legal Practitioner. What I will say is that *it is not compulsory, but it is necessary* to engage a Lawyer to issue the Quit Notice.

*I am in no position to argue on this at all*

In conclusion, I want us take this away today. A lawyer is not allowed to practice real estate basically under the name of his Law Office or Chambers. That is what the law is protecting.

If a lawyer is interested in the business of buying and selling of properties, he is allowed to register a Real Estate Firm for that purpose. So, please don't let us mix things up. @Humility

HOW TO LOWER YOUR PHCN BILL...,...

A thread on why PREPAID METER being distributed TO ALL may never be achieved in Nigeria.
After the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Electricity distribution companies are next on the list when it comes to corruption. This has been in existence from time immemorial, just like barracks, many government have come and gone but the deep rooted corruption in the system remains
In April 2016, I moved in to my current apartment. The apartment was still connected to an old meter and there was an outstanding payment of about N385,000.00 to be paid.

This wasn't revealed to me before I made payment for the rent, as usual (that's how they all do)
This became a worry and an absolute headache.

I asked the landlord why it was so and she made me understand that the apartment was not in use for 5years.

I asked how come it wasn't reported to NEPA so they'd stop the billing, she gave me a copy of the letter she wrote to them
So I took the matter up, wrote several mails to Eko electricity company and the matter was on for 11months, note that in the space of this 11 months, I never got a monthly bill lesser than 24,000.00

You want to ask if I have a factory in my apartment? No I don't.
So it extended from wanting the company to zerorize the ridiculous outstanding balance in the billing account to fighting and contesting the outrageous billing system which do not in any way represent my true electricity consumption and wanting a Prepaid Meter

The battle began.
After several exchange of mails betweens myself and Eko Electric and no solution was forthcoming, I moved the matter to NERC, the regulatory body for all electricity distribution companies in Nigeria.

I filed a petition against Ekedp and the undertaking in charge of my area.
Lo and behold, after three days from the petition submission to NERC, I got a call from the marketing manager for my area pleading for me to make myself available to allow them come to my house and take inventory of the electrical appliances I use.

NERC is working yeah? Right.
A staff of the Ekedp came to take the inventory and at the end of the computations, we calculated and multiplied each appliance by the estimated units they consume per day and multiplied by 31days.

Recall I said I never got a bill less than 24k in a month?
Then we arrived at a figure that even the Eko electric staff who came to take the inventory opened his mouth and couldn't close it.

What I should be billed based on having 24hour light per day(which is not even possible) in 31 days was 4,800.00

I almost ran mad.
I took a copy of the report, scanned it and attached it to my next petition to NERC.

At this point, the marketing manager attached to my undertaking had started calling and begging me to stop the petitions.

That they could all get sacked if matters gets escalated further.
Then in September 2017, after all the troubles and how I never got tired if pursuing the issue, I got a mail from Eko electricity to come with some required documents in order to fill a form for a PREPAID METER.

I went there and did as they requested

At Last.
On 27 November 2017, I was on leave.
I was at my gate then this Alfa looking guy was parading and trying to see house number on the fence. My instinct told me to ask if he was asking for Ayo, then he said yes

He was the prepaid meter installer, he was with my new prepaid meter
I also recall that before the whole issue started, I was discouraged severally that I can never be given prepaid meter due to the outstanding balance on the billing account, I paid no mind to all the people that said that and went ahead with my case.
I got the Prepaid meter for FREE. After a week, bill was brought and boom, outstanding balance has been cleared from 385,000.00 to zero balance.

How did I achieve this?
I mean I didn't pay a dime to anyone and I never for once bribed my way in all my dealings.
I achieved this simply because;

1. I knew my right.
2. I wouldn't settle for mediocrity
3. I never stopped pushing even after several months and it seemed unachievable
4. I was ready to take the matter up anywhere
5. I was informed.
Now imagine how many people are out there who don't even know how to go about such tedious and draining process.

I learnt that a lot of people even paid as much as 40k to get the prepaid meter. Something that's supposed to be free.
Since the prepaid meter was installed in November 27 2017, I have not exhausted the 303 units that came with it which is calculated to be 7,200.00

And I still have 140units left to use.

That's over four (4) months now
Do you now see why these people will never allow dream of every homes having a prepaid meter become a reality?

Because such development will block all holes where the electricity distribution corrupt members of staff perpetrate their fraudulent activities and corruption from.
They know that they will be forced to give light more in order to generate revenue and will not be able to charge people outrageously as they are currently doing and remitting the proceeds of their criminal act to their pockets.

Stand up and Fight for what is your right.
Prepaid meter is your right, fight for it to the letter.

If you believe that your monthly electricity bill do not represent your consumption, make a case.

If you're in Lagos, Ikeja Electricity company and Eko electricity company are there for you.

If they fail, involve NERC.
That will be all, for now.
Due to popular demand, these are the email addresses you can forward your complaints to -
Ikeja Electricity Distribution - customercare@ikejaelectric.com
Eko Electricity Distribution - customercare@ekedp.com
Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission - complaints@nerc.gov.ng

Do you know that, by law, you are entitled to at least 14 days between the date you receive your Electricity bill and the date when you are to pay that bill?

Do you know that, by law, your Electricity Distribution Company must give you a written notice of disconnection before it can disconnect you for non-payment of your bill?

If you answered yes to the last question, then do you know that, by law, your Electricity Distribution Company must wait for at least 90 days from the date of giving you notice of disconnection, before it can legally disconnect you?

Do you know that if you are unlawfully disconnected, you can compel your distribution company to reconnect you without paying reconnection fee, and that you can get this done without going to court?

Do you know that, if you are illegally disconnected, you are entitled to damages at a minimum of #1,000 per day to be paid by your Electricity Distribution Company for each day of disconnection till your power is restored?

Do you know that there is an administrative body that meets in your city, or a city close to you, that monitors the activities of Electricity Distribution Companies and will compel them to respect your rights if they breach same?

If you answered NO to any of these questions, then you, like so many others, are the victim of a conspiracy of silence by the Electricity distribution companies, who have been statutorily mandated to carry out regular public awareness campaigns on these and other consumer rights within their franchise area.

There is a solution at hand.

An online platform has been created to educate power consumers of their rights under the reformed power sector in Nigeria. Not only that, if you have suffered from any breach of your rights, you can get *free help* on that platform to enforce your rights.

Go to www.nepawahala.ng.

Register. Ask any question that bothers you. Ask for help. It's all free.

*Muhammad claimed to have received visions from God and teachings, which is Koran; here are basic teachings of islam:*
*--Monotheism (Sura 5:73, 112:1-4), calls God 'Allah', denies the Trinity (5:73)*
*--Jesus is not God (5:17, 75), Jesus was not the Son of God (9:30), Jesus was not crucified (4:157)*
*--The Holy Spirit is the angel Gabriel (2:97, 16:102)*
*--Salvation is by sincerity and works (3:135, 7:8-9, 21:47, 49:14, 66:8-9)*
*--No miracles done by Muhammad or Allah recorded except they claim the Qur'an is a miracle and makes no prophecies (''foretelling the future').*

*As the Jews believed in the Old Testament and the Christians put their faith in both the Old and New Testaments, the Muslims believe the Quran is the divine word of God. This book, containing the supposed revelations given to Mohammed, is divided into 114 chapters, or Suras. His followers wrote the Quran shortly after Mohammed’s death.*

*To the Muslims, the Quran is God’s last word to the world. It states that both the Old and New Testaments are likewise divinely inspired, but have been altered by Christians and Jews (archaeological discoveries of Biblical Manuscripts are denied by Muslims, they say 'Satan produced them'); they say Quran was kept by Allah, but how come Allah couldn't keep the Old and the New Testament writings that He had inspired? Surah 6:115 and 18:27 say that nobody can change the Word of Allah (it does not say Quran, but ''Word''). In any place where they conflict, the Bible is wrong and the Quran is correct; the Quran is the final authority (Sura 33:40).*

*Islam’s basic teaching, called the Islamic creed, consists of six basic 'pillars of belief', found throughout the Quran. The favorite creed of Islam is, “There is no God but Allah,” which is recited daily by the faithful Muslim.*

*Muslims also believe that Allah has revealed himself through Scripture, including the Old Testament, the Gospels (though not believing them to be accurate today), the Quran, and the traditions not contained in the Quran called the Hadith. Of the above sources, only the Quran is totally trusted by Muslims.*

*Islam also holds a strong belief in the prophets, Mohammed being the greatest since he was sent to the entire world. Jesus is viewed as a prophet sent only to the Jews but according to the Quran Jesus is greater than Muhammad: Jesus was born through the Holy Spirit, Jesus did miracles, Jesus is coming back to settle his kingdom, Jesus was without sin,Jesus is called ''The Word of Allah'',Allah has created the world through his Word.*

*There is a great emphasis in Islam concerning the Day of Judgment. All men will be judged according to their works. Muslims will enter paradise (though some must first be purged for their sins); non-Muslims will be condemned forever to a pit of fire.*

*Besides the five basic beliefs, Muslims also have five pillars or observances that follow as part of their faith. They are:*
*1. The creed or statement of belief: “There is no God but Allah, and Mohammed is the prophet of Allah.”*
*2. The ritual prayers performed five times a day facing Mecca.*
*3. Alms giving, offering 1/4 of their income for the needy.*
*4. Their observance of Ramadan where they fast during the daylight hours and feast at night (statistics show during Ramadan more food is sold than in any other month of the year)*
*5. Their pilgrimage to Mecca required of all Muslims before death (you can pay someone to go in your place if you cant go)*

*There is an unofficial sixth pillar known as jihad,the holy war. This is used to spread Islam. The Koran’s 164 Jihad Verses: K 002:178-179, 190-191, 193-194,216-218, 244; 003:121-126, 140-143, 146, 152-158, 165-167,169, 172-173,195; 004:071-072, 074-077, 084, 089-091, 094-095,100-104; 005:033, 035,082; 008:001, 005, 007, 009-010, 012, 015-017, 039-048,057-060, 065-075;009:005, 012-014, 016, 019-020, 024-026, 029,036, 038-039, 041, 044, 052,073, 081, 083,086, 088, 092, 111, 120, 122-123; 016:110; 022:039, 058, 078;024:053, 055; 025:052; 029:006, 069; 033:015, 018, 020, 023, 025-027, 050;042:039; 047:004, 020, 035; 048:015-024; 049:015; 059:002, 005-008, 014;060:009; 061:004, 011, 013; 063:004; 064:014; 066:009; 073:020; 076:008.*

*Many of these verses say, ''kill the Christians and the Jews''. Some Muslims say the jihad was just for Muhammad's time, but these Quran's jihad verses are addressing all Muslims. Quran does not guarantee paradise but for those that enter jihad.*

*Finally, Muslims view God as an absolute deity whose will is law. God is unknowable in the personal sense; thus the goal of Islam is to obey Allah, not to know him. Some other facts about islam:*
*--muslims are ALLOWED TO LIE for the spread of islam; Muhammad advised his soldiers to lie to a tribe of Jews in order to be able to defeat them later;Qur'an (16:106 , Qur'an (3:28) , Qur'an (9:3) , Qur'an (40:28) , Qur'an (2:225) ,Qur'an (3:54) , 8:30 and 10:21 also from Hadith: Bukhari (52:269) , Bukhari(49:857) , Bukhari (84:64-65) , Muslim (32:6303) Bukhari (50:369) , also The Ilsamic Law, Reliance of the Traveler (p. 746 - 8.2) allows to lie in special situations. It is why Obama lies that he is a Christian, when in fact he is a Muslim (search Obama is a Muslim on youtube or google). Jesus said Satan is the father of lies John8/44.*
*--muslims say the QURAN WAS UNCHANGED since its writing, archeology has proven that it did change:*
http://www.studytoanswer.net/myths_ch1.html
*--WOMEN'S STATUS is Islam: women prisoner of war can be abused sexually Sura 4:24 (often in front of their husband before he was killed); a wife can be beaten for disobedience by the husband; husband can divorce his wife as he pleases; a woman receive only half rights of inheritance as compared to their brothers; a woman that is sexually abused must produce 4 witnesses in court;see more:*
http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Muhammad/myths-mu-rape.htm
*--Muslims believe that Muhammad is THE COMFORTER that Jesus announced to be sent from the Father in John 14/26 and 16/13 but Jesus gives the comforter's name: the Holy Spirit. Muhammad was in fact prophesied by Jesus indeed: ''many false prophets will come in My Name...'' Mat.24/5,Luke21/8, Mark13/6*
*--MUHAMMAD'S SEXUAL LIFE: he asked his adopted son to divorce his wife so that he could 'marry her'; sex with slaved allowed; he would often go from one wife to another all night, even without washing in between (Bukhari, volume 7, # 142); "Muta Marriage" is a marriage that lasts for a few hours, for the purpose of sex, we would call it prostitution; Sura 33/50 Allah allowed Muhammad to have as many wives as he wanted while his followers could only have four Sura4/3; Muhammad was dressing in women clothes, see Sahih Bukhari 2/911; 44 Islamic books—including some highly respected collections, such as Sunan Bayhaqi, Sunan Bayhaqi and Al Halabi state that Muhammad had homosexual habits; a hadith by Abu Hurreira says Muhammad was sucking the tongues of boys and girls; see more:*

*MORE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MUHAMMAD AND JESUS*
* Jesus was a religious leader.
* Muhammad was a religious leader and a military leader.

* Jesus never killed anyone.
* Muhammad killed an estimated 3,000 people, including beheading 700 Jews of the Banu Qurayza tribe in one single day in Medina, A.D. 627

* Jesus never owned slaves.
* Muhammad received a fifth of the prisoners taken in battle, including women.(Sura 8:41)

* Jesus never married.
* Muhammad had many wives.

* Jesus never forced followers to continue believing. After Jesus made a difficult saying, "many of his disciples went back and walked no more with
him. Then Jesus said to the twelve, 'Will ye also go away?' Then Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.'" (John 6:31-69)
* Muhammad forced followers to continue believing, "Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him." (Hadith al-Bukhari, Vol. 9, Bk. 84, No. 57)

* Jesus taught God was our Father (Matthew 6:10).
* Muhammad taught it was blasphemy to call Allah your father (Sura 5:18)

* Jesus taught man was made in God's image. (Matthew 22:20, ref. Gen. 1:26-27)
* Muhammad taught Allah has no image. (Sura 42:11, Sura 112:4)

* Jesus taught "forgive those who trespass against you." (Matthew 6:10-15)
* Muhammad taught to avenge trespasses against your honor, family or religion.

* Jesus never tortured anyone.
* Muhammad tortured the chief of a Jewish tribe.

* Jesus did not retaliate when violence was committed against him, saying "Father, forgive them." (Luke 23:34)
* Muhammad retaliated when violence was committed against him, ordering the death of his enemies. Kitab al-Tabaqat, written by Ibn Sa'd (A.D. 745-845),Vol. 2, p. 168

* Following Jesus was voluntary, from the inside out.
* Following Muhammad could be coerced, from the outside in. Sura 9:29

* A martyr in Christian and Jewish thought is one who dies for his faith.
* A martyr in Islamic thought is one who dies for his faith while killing infidels.

* Christianity teaches God wants a personal relationship with each individual.
* Islam teaches individuals cannot have a personal relationship with Allah, as he is transcendent and unknowable.

* Jesus' religion is known for forgiveness and love.
* Muhammad's religion is known for obedience and fear.

*None of Jesus' Apostles led armies. A village did not receive Jesus "and when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, 'Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, even as Elias did?' But he turned and rebuked them, and said, 'Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to
save them.'" (Luke 9:52-56)
* All of the caliphs who followed Muhammad led armies. (Caliphs Abu Bakr,Umar, Uthman, Ali, Muawiyya, the Umayyads, the Abbasids, etc.)

* In the first 300 years of Christianity, there were 10 major Roman persecutions, and Christians were fed to lions in the Coliseum. Never did Christians lead an armed resistance against those who attacked them.
* In the first 300 years of Islam, Muslim armies conquered Arabia, Persia, the Holy Land, North Africa, Spain, Southern France, Central Africa, and invaded
vast areas of Asia and Asia Minor.
Fighting is inconsistent with Jesus' example but not Muhammad's, as the Sirat Rasul Allah records Muhammad personally led 27 raids, including Battle of
Badr, 624 AD; Battle of Uhud and expulsion of Banu Nadir, 625 AD; Attack on Banu Mustaliq, 626 AD; Battle of the Trench and killing Banu Qurayza, 627 AD; Battle of Khaybar, 628 AD; Battle of Mu’tah, 629 AD; Conquest of
Mecca, Battle of Hunayn, Battle of Auras and Siege of al-Ta’if, where Mohammed used a catapult, 630 AD; Battle of Tabouk, Subjugation of Banu Thaqif (Yemen) and subjugation of Ghassanids (Arab Christians), 631 AD.

*Jesus' teaching on how to treat enemies:*
* Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, pray for them which despitefully use you (Matthew 5:44).
* Resist not evil (Matthew 5:39).
* If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to them the other (Matthew 5:39).
* If someone takes your coat, give them your shirt (Matthew 5:40).
* If someone make you carry something one mile, carry it two (Matthew 5:41).
* Forgive and you shall be forgiven (Matthew 6:14).
* Judge not, that ye be not judged (Matthew 7:1).
* Blessed are the peacemakers (Matthew 5:9).
* Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy (Matthew 5:7).
* Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not kill, but I say who ever is angry with his brother is in danger of the judgment (Matthew 5:21-22).
* Treat others the same way you want them to treat you (Luke 6:27-36).
* Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick, whatever you do to the very least you have done unto me (Matthew 25:40).

*Muhammad's teaching on how to treat enemies:*
* Infidels are your sworn enemies (Sura 4:101).
* Be ruthless to the infidels (Sura 48:29).
* Make war on the infidels who dwell around you (Sura 9:123, 66:9).
* Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day (Sura 9:29).
* Strike off the heads of infidels in battle (Sura 47:4).
* If someone stops believing in Allah, kill him (al-Bukhari 9:84:57).
* Take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends (Sura 5:51, 60:13).
* Never be a helper to the disbelievers (Sura 28:86).
* Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them (Sura 2:191).
* No Muslim should be killed for killing an infidel (al-Bukhari 1:3:111).
* The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate
sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land (Sura 5:33).

*What motivates fundamental Muslims to violence?*
Where Jesus was a religious leader, Muhammad was a religious leader and a military leader, thus the effort to separate the militant aspect of Islam from the religious aspect is an attempt to split Muhammad. The closer one follows the example of Jesus, the more peaceful is one's
motivation. The closer one follows example of Muhammad, the more militant is one's motivation.

Education / Thief-ed. by Ezebohirepurcha(m): 4:47pm On Aug 05, 2018
*THE ESSENCE OF HOLIDAY HAS BEEN DEFEATED*.
Holiday lessons, summer lessons, whatever they call it, is a scam! In fact, that a child should resume school by 7am and close by 5pm or 6pm is uncalled for.
Those days we resumed school by 8am and closed by 2pm, with double breaks( short break and long break in between). And we did well and still doing well. Ours was a wholistic education.
Today, a child's long break is used for extra lesson( parent-teacher arrangement). What a scam! Our over sabi is just too much.
A child will go to school by 7am and close by 5pm for five days out of the seven days in a week. And most times, the child will still have home lesson from 6pm to 8pm.
During weekends that child comes home with many assignments in all the subjects he or she is offering in school. So there won't be time to rest and play through out the weekend.
The child does that for almost four months hoping to enjoy the holidays only for schools to come up with a scam in the name of holidays lesson.
What exactly do you want to teach that child?
Dear parents, summer holiday is a period you allow a child to experience other things in life apart from formal education.Formal education is just a part of education.
Allow them to travel for the vacation and if you don't have money for vacation, take them to a place where they will learn new skills.
Let them go and learn how to draw, computer coding, how to play musical instruments, play football, martial art, learn business, singing, learn foreign languages etc
Allow this children to explore life. Education is made up of three(3) domains....Cognitive(head) Affective(Heart) and Psycho-motor(hand).
Everytime should not be Book, book, book(which is cognitive alone) that is why most of our youths are unemployed because they can't do any other thing apart from white collar job. In fact, many of our girls/ladies cannot really cook because they were busy with books, when they were supposed to learn domestic and home keeping ! Bookism is affecting this generation!
When I was growing up, after closing by 2pm, I will go to my father's industry( Block industry), eat and rest for a while, wet the blocks, sometimes loaded blocks, and even after a while I was able to mould blocks. I started catechism class later, going to church from 4pm to 6pm (3 times a week ). Some weekends and during holidays we went to farm. But now, it's a taboo to let a child experience farming.
I thank God for my parents, with my first class and distinction, and even award as a best corps member, I would have been jobless.

Let's support wholistic Education, say no to this current scam !

1. Memory Verse
We can come to God with no doubts. This means that when
we ask God for things (and those things agree with what God
wants for us), then God cares about what we say.
1 John 5:14 (ICB)
2. Week One- What Is Prayer?
3. Week Two- What is Prayer?/ ACTIVITY WEEK
SUNDAY, 5th August 2018
Learning Objectives For the Caregivers to know what prayer is and why we pray.
Bible Reference: Mark 11:24; Matthew 7:7-8 and Jeremiah 29:13; James 5: 13 - 16
Introduction: Prayer is spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way relationship in which man
should not only talk to God but also listen to Him.
Prayer is a Christian tool or way of communicating to God. And just as we communicate regularly
with the people we see or love that is the exact measure bible advises us to pray to God.
Lesson Outline: 1. Why do we pray?
- To maintain relationship and connection with God – Story of Adam & Eve talking to God in the
garden of Eden.
- To build our faith – Building your most holy faith
- To ask for help- provision, direction, clarification –
- To build our faith – we build up our faith when we pray in the Holy spirit. Jude 1:20
- Other texts: John 1:6; Col 2:3; Luke 21:15; Jeremiah 15
Interactive Session: Contemporary stories/application:
How do you know who your friends are( allow the caregivers to respond)
Teachers: Your friend is someone you feel free to talk to about anything at any time. It is
communication that makes friends strive. Imagine if you call someone your friend and in one
month you did not talk to or with the person, do you think that relationship is real? (No). So it is
with God, God is our heavenly father and our friend He want to fellowship with us, and want you
to be free with Him and this you can do through prayer.
Summary: Our prayer works if it builds, enhances or deepens the relationship between the one who prays and
the one whom those prayers are directed.
Pray without season, pray even you don’t feel so. In this month we will discuss everything about
prayer and we will also practice how to pray.
Note to Teachers: It should be emphasized that listening to God is part of prayer. Children should be encouraged to
take some time to listen after saying their prayers because God also wants to speak with us.
Altar Call: Before you can pray to God you need to have a relationship with Him. He is loving and kind and
eager to have a relationship with everyone. If you are yet to accept Jesus into your life, the only
prayer He can listen to from you, is the prayer asking Him to be your Friend and savior.
Action Point: 15 minute of praying to God
Song: Prayer is the key
SUNDAY, 12th August 2018
Learning Objectives The children should be able to reminded on the definition of and reasons for prayer

4. Week Three- Types Of Prayer
5. Week Four- Types Of Prayer/ ACTIVITY WEEK
SUNDAY, 19th August 2018
Learning Objectives For the Caregivers to understand the types of prayer that may be made.
Bible Reference: Mark 11:24; Matthew 7:7-8 and Jeremiah 29:13; James 5: 13 – 16
Introduction: While petition (asking for our needs or desires) is a legitimate and well-known part of prayer,
prayer involves more than just asking God for things. Imagine a friendship in which nothing but
request or demands were communicated. No words of affection. No thanks or compliments or
appreciation. No sharing of hopes or dreams or even sorrows. Just “I need this or “give me that”.
Would you ever want a relationship like that? Could you run away from it fast enough, or put
differently, between a person who comes to you to always ask for something and the person who
comes to gist, tell you his plans and even praise you for all you have been doing for him, which of
them would you attend to first?
This takes us to the fact that there are differently types of prayers.
Lesson Outline: So what are the types of prayers as seen in the bible?
a. Prayer of Supplication and Petition - We pray for ourselves, for things that we need or want, ask
God to help us do things that we find hard to do. These are prayers that are centered on ourselves.
An example in the bible – Jabez prayed to God to bless him. God answered his prayer and granted
him all he asked for.(Also called Prayer of blessing) 1 Chronicles 4:9-10
b. Prayer of Intercession- This is when we pray on behalf of other people or places. We can pray
for our friends, family and even our country or other countries. An example is in Acts 12: 5 when
the church prayed for Peter when he was in prison and God sent an angel to rescue him. 1 Tim
2:1-5 urges us to pray for our leaders i.e. presidents, governors, etc.
c. Prayer of Confession: - This is the prayer we say when we have erred against the laws and
commandments of God. 1 John 1:9 – gives us the assurance that God will forgive us if we confess
our sins.
David prayed for forgiveness in Psalm 51.
d. Prayer of Thanksgiving - In this prayer we take the time to thank God for the many things he has
given us. An example in the bible - Moses and the Israelites thank God Exodus 15:1-11
e. Prayer of agreement – The Prayer of Agreement is when we pray with other believers for
something specific. All parties involved must agree with the prayer and its outcome. Mat18:19-20
f. Prayer of Warfare- Ephesians 6:12-18
Interactive Session: There should be practical prayer session after each lesson.
Summary: Having talked about different types of prayer that may be made. It is important that we can make
all of this prayer in any situation we find our selves.
Altar Call: If you are yet to establish a relationship with God by accepting Jesus into your life as your personal
Saviour, the first type of prayer you need to make is that of confession. Confess Jesus as lord and
Saviour and you shall be saved.

Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, the Caregiver would remember that there are different types of and ways
to pray by giving biblical examples to demonstrate the various type of type prayer discussed last
week.

6. Week Five - How to Pray
7. Week Six- How to Pray/ ACTIVITY WEEK
SUNDAY, 2nd September 2018
Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, the caregivers should learn how to pray
Bible Reference: Matthew 6:9-13
Introduction: The Lord's Prayer is a basic and very important pattern as Jesus taught us to pray when the disciples
asked. Given by Jesus in Matthew 6:9-14 ("This is how you should pray He said), it is considered an
outline of an individual Christian's relationship with God and other people. It praises the Lord and
covers everything we need in this life and to attain happiness.
Lesson Outline: 1. What Do I Say?
a. Worship God: “our father who art in heaven Hallowed be your name” Here, you
worship God as your Father and lift up His name as Holy.
b. Praise the Lord’s kingdom and desire its fulfillment: "Thy kingdom come." His kingdom
brings righteousness, peace, and joy, and you are asking Him to usher these values into
the world.
c. Entrust your life into the hands of the Lord, saying: "Thy will be done in earth as it is in
heaven." God is just and kind, and He sees what is best for you in the long run, so you
seek to submit yourself to His will.
d. Ask God to help you with your daily needs by praying: "Give us this day our daily
bread."
e. Ask Him to wash away your sin, while reminding you that you should let go of your
grudges and anger. "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."
f. Ask God to guard you from temptation and evil. "Lead us not into temptation but
deliver us from evil."
g. Declare His power, trusting that everything is possible with Him, saying: "For Thine is
the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever."
2. How Do I Say IWhile Praying as the Lord taught us, we could pray int
a. Using the word of God Isaiah 55: 10 -11
b. In tongues 1Cor 14:14
c. Prophesying Prayer Jer 1:7
d. Fasting and praying Acts 13:2-3; Matthew 17:21
Summary: By the time you used the model of our Lord’s prayer, you would have covered all the type of
prayers as taught last week. It is important to note that while praying for our self, we should pray
according to God’s will for our live, pray using the word of God, in tongues, prophesying over your
life or situation and also fast.
Altar Call: The Lord’s prayer is for the children of God and that is why He taught us to start with “our father”
can you call God your father? You can only do so if you have accepted Jesus into your life.
SUNDAY, 9th September 2018
Learning Objectives At the end of the lesson, the children should be reminded that prayer need not be complicated and
the Lord’s prayer is a model.
Also talk about Joshua 1:8

8. Week Seven- Different Ways to Pray
SUNDAY, 16th September 2018
Learning Objectives For caregiver to understand different style, posture and activities that prayer may be made.
To Make the Caregivers understand that no posture or style taken is superior to another and cleared
some misconception about prayer.
Bible Reference: Psalm 66:16-20, James 4:3, 1 John 5:14-15
Introduction: God has promised to answer our prayers when we pray, however, there are reasons our prayers
don’t get answered. Also, God answers us in different ways.
Lesson Outline: a. Vocal Prayer: 1 King 18: 27; 36-38; 2King 1:10-13 (Elijah and the prophet of Baal; Psalm 3:4;
Psalm 18:18
b. Meditation/ Meditative Prayer: Joshua 1: 8; (David) Psalm 5:1; Psalm 6
c. Quiet Prayer (Hannah) 1 Samuel 1:9-28
d.
Wrong perceptions of prayer
a. That you need to make long prayer to have an answered prayer: Matthew 6: 5- The more prayer,
the more power. While this may be true, it’s also true that many people seek God for extensive
periods of time with no results. God hears because we are on His agenda, not because of our
effort or sacrifice. Biblical prayer flowed out of understanding what God was doing. No matter
how earnestly one prays, praying in the wrong direction or for the wrong thing has no more
power than not praying at all. Staying focused on God’s person and purposes helps us avoid the
pitfall of misdirected, fruitless praying.
b. That it is only when you shout that the Lord will hear you. Matthew 23:14. Consider the Jews of
Jeremiah and Ezekiel’s day who prayed and fasted, yet perished. Consider the Pharisees of
Jesus’ day who diligently prayed, yet the Romans destroyed Jerusalem. Both Scripture accounts
affirm that God’s mighty hand never moved on their behalf. Thus, praying does not guarantee
success.
c. That once you are a child of God all your prayers must be answered. In the Bible God never
separates the request from the condition of the heart of the one praying. Who you are and what
you ask have direct correlation with each other. James 5:16 read,” Instead it reads, “The
effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (italics mine, for emphasis). Therefore,
you cannot implement a program, or devise a strategy, and expect God to bless it unless you
are connected to Him.
d. Prayer changes things: No, God changes things. If prayer changed things, then many world
religions would have incredible spiritual impact. Instead, God remains sovereign. He alone
determines what happens, not our prayers, but we need to ask Him for what we want.
e. There is power in prayer: The power is in God. Anyone who believes prayer has power might
also substitute the activity of prayer for an encounter with God. The goal is to pray, allowing the
prayer to create the opportunity for an encounter with God.
Altar Call: The Lord wants us to talk with Him and listen for His voice. He wants to have an ever-growing
relationship with us. He is so much more than just the One to whom we take our requests. We
don’t need Him to answer our prayers exactly as we see fit. All we really need is Him. Call Him
into your life first, and other things will follow.
9. Week Eight- Causes of Unanswered Prayers
10. Week NINE- REVISION SUNDAY/ ACTIVITY WEEK
SUNDAY, 23rd September 2018
Learning Objectives For the caregiver to know that there are times that we pray and we donot get answered.
That the fact that our prayer is not answered does not mean that God is not potent or has ceased to
be God.
Bible Reference: Psalm 66:16-20, James 4:3, 1 John 5:14-15
Introduction: God has promised to answer our prayers when we pray, however, there are reasons our prayers
don’t get answered. Also, God answers us in different ways.
Lesson Outline: a. Not Praying according to God’s will. I Jon 5:14-15; Matthew 6:33
b. Selfishness; Wrong Motives and ungodly prayer. James 4:3; Proverbs 16:2; Proverbs 21:2.
c. Un-confessed Sin. Isaiah 59:1-3; Psalm 66:18.
d. Living a continuous life of sin. Proverbs 28:9; John 9:31; Proverbs 15:29; 1 Peter 3:12.
e. Closing your hears to the needy. Proverb 21:13
f. Not having a relationship with God. John 15:7
g. Lack of faith. James 1:6 ; Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:24; Hebrew 11:6.
h. Pride. Proverbs 29:23; James 4:6;10; 1 Peter 5:6
i. Hypocritical Prayer. Matthew 6:5
j. Lack of perseverance/ persistence. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18; Colossian 4:2; Galatians 6:9; Luke
18:1.
k. Un-forgiveness. Mark 11:25-26;Matthew 6:14.
l. To Glorify God. 1 Corinthians 10:31, 1 Corinthian 12:8-10; Proverbs 3:5-6
m. May be God has a better plan for us. Ephesians 3:20; Romans 8:28; Jeremiah 29:11
n. You did not ask. James 4:2
o. Not yet time. Isaiah 55:8; Ecclesiastes 3:1-11
p. Demonic power. Daniel 10:13
Summary: Sometimes we get discouraged becomes He doesn’t answer right away, but continually knock on
His door. God knows what is best. Never lose hope and always seek God’s will and not your own.
SUNDAY, 30th September 2018
Learning Objectives Practical ways of looking after God’s creation.
Activity -Song/
Video:
1 Get children to talk more about causes or reason for un-answered prayer
2 Different ways God can answer prayers
- No answer
- Yes answer
- Wait.

Literature / Re: 101 Success Wisdom Keys For Winners by Ezebohirepurcha(m): 4:43am On Jul 26, 2018
*INTRODUCTION*
*You Were Created To Solve A Problem.*
*Doctors solve physical problems. Mothers solve emotional problems. Dentists solve teeth problems. Mechanics solve car problems. Everything God created was created to solve an existing problem.*
*Millions of problems exist on the earth. Solving those problems provides income, favor and the flow of financial provision for the billions living on the earth.*
*Thousands remain impoverished because they have not recognized the problem closest to them that needs to be solved. Millions will never receive promotion because they ignore the problem closest to them.*
*Marriages have deteriorated because a mate refused to recognize the problem closest to them.*
*The Problem Closest To You Is The Golden Gate Out of Trouble.*
*The Problem Closest To You Is Your Secret Code To The Throne.*
*When Joseph solved the problem nearest him, he moved into his next season of promotion.*

*1. You Were Created To Solve A Problem. “To rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God,” (Ecclesiastes 5:19).*
*2. The Problem You Solve Provides The Provision For Your Life. “And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God,”(Ecclesiastes 3:13).*
*3. The Problem That Infuriates You The Most Is Often The Problem God Has Assigned You To Solve. When Moses observed an Egyptian beating an Israelite, anger arose. Anger is a clue, a signal that God wants you to correct something that grieves Him. Anger is the birthplace for change.*
*4. Your Gifts, Temperaments And Skills Are Clues To The Problem You Were Created To Solve. You may be gifted with numbers, working with children or administration. Your gift is revealed by what you love. The proof of love is the investment of time. What you are willing to invest time in learning is a clue to an existing gift within you.*
*5. Uncommon Men Often Solve Uncommon Problems. Those who design skyscrapers have a different creativity than those who build doghouses. The pay differs, too!*
*6. Uncommon Men Often Solve Common Problems In An Uncommon Way. It is the secret of McDonald's, the largest hamburger restaurant chain on earth. Killing a man in battle is common. But, David became known because he did it with an Uncommon Weapon against an Uncommon Enemy.*
*7. You Will Only Be Remembered For The Problems You Solve or The Ones You Create. Joseph is remembered because he solved the problem of provision during famine.*
*8. Uncommon Men Often Distinguish Themselves By The Method They Use To Solve A Problem. The leprosy of Naaman disappeared because of an illogical instruction from Elisha—“dip in Jordan seven times.”*
*9. Currents of Favor Will Flow Into Your Life The Moment You Solve A Problem For Somebody. When the Apostle Paul brought the healing power of God to the father of Publius, the chief of the island, favor flowed. Others were healed. Then, the Apostle Luke documents, “Who also honoured us with many honours; and when we departed, they laded us with such things as were necessary,” (Acts 28:10).David pursued a knowledge of the reward for killing Goliath. “The king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father's house free in Israel,” (1 Samuel 17:25).*
*10. The Problem You Solve Determines The Salary You Earn. Lawyers make $200 an hour while a gardener earns $8 an hour. Both men are worthy. But, the problem they have chosen to solve has a different value.*
*11. Problems Should Never Be Discussed With Those Incapable of Solving Them. Their answers will incense you.*
*12. The Problem You Solve For Others Determines The Problems God Will Solve For You. “Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free,” (Ephesians 6:cool.*
*13. The Blessing of The Lord Will Always Be Proportionate To The Problem You Have Chosen To Solve.“The Lord shall open unto thee His good treasure, the Heaven to give the rain unto thy land in His season, and to bless all the work of thine hand,” (Deuteronomy 28:12).*
*14. Those Who Refuse To Solve Problems Should Not Be Supported By Those Who Do. “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat,” (2 Thessalonians 3:10).*
*15. Scriptures Forbid Intimacy And Relationship With Those Who Are Unwilling To Work And Solve Problems. “For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies…note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed,” (2Thessalonians 3:11, 14).*
*16. Those Skilled In Solving Problems Are Qualified To Rule Over Others. “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule:but the slothful shall be under tribute,” (Proverbs 12:24).*
*17. Uncommon Problem-Solvers Are Pursued By Uncommon Men of Greatness. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings,” (Proverbs 22:29).*
*18. Solving A Problem Cheerfully Increases Favor. “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine,” (Proverbs17:22).*
*19. Your Flexibility And Willingness To Solve A Problem Affects Your Salary And Respect Received. Twenty-four hour cafes exist because of flexibility.*
*20. Many Eventually Hear About The Problem You Solve For Others. Boaz knew that Ruth treated Naomi better than 7 sons would treat their mother.*
*21. God Expects You To Observe And Recognize The Problem Nearest You. “But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?” (1John 3:17).*
*22. God Expects You To Solve The Problem Nearest You.“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it,” (Proverbs 3:27). Joseph applied this to the butler.*
*23. Your Assignment Determines The Kinds of Problems You Notice And Desire To Solve. Tailors notice missing buttons. Hairstylists notice your hair. Mechanics hear something wrong in your car engine. Why? That is their Assignment. Your Assignment heightens and magnifies the problems you notice and are called to solve.*
*24. You Are Not Assigned To Solve Problems For Everybody. Determine to whom you have been assigned. Jesus told the Pharisees that He was not called to those who were whole, but to those who realized they were sick and needed Him.*
*25. You Are Not Assigned To Solve Every Kind of Problem For Everyone. Pastors are not necessarily anointed to solve real estate problems, automobile breakdowns and estate planning. Others can do that.*
*26. Problems Are Catalysts That Cause Us To Reach For Each Other. You only call a dentist when your teeth hurt. You only call your lawyer about legal matters. Problems create relationships.*
*27. Problems Reveal The Value of Those Nearest Us.Someone told me that when they went to the hospital, the love and caring of their loved ones meant more to them than ever.*
*28. The Problems Others Are Experiencing Often Cause Them To Recognize Your Value. Children that ignore parents will often reach during a crisis they encounter.*
*29. Your Phone Will Never Ring Unless Someone Has A Problem They Want You To Solve. It may be emotional reassurance, a piece of information or a question that requires answering. Problems initiate reaching.*
*30. Any Problem Created By Rebellion Can Only Be Solved By The Repentance of The Rebellious. When non-tithers ask a minister to pray for their prosperity, it is futile and absurd for the minister to do so. Their repentance is the key to their prosperity. Likewise, it is foolish to support a son-in-law who is defying the Scriptural command to work.*
*31. The Holy Spirit Will Often Forbid You To Solve Problems For Specific People. Paul experienced this.“Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not,” (Acts 16:6-7).*
*32. Those You Love Often Want You To Solve Their Problems Without Them Tasting The Painful Consequences of Their Own Rebellion. I begged one pastor not to take on an unnecessary indebtedness. He was determined to build a palace before the people were present to pay for it. I insisted that he was “missing the will of God.” He insisted. Then, when he proceeded, he begged me to come back and bail him out of the problem. The Holy Spirit forbade me.*
*33. Small Problems Are Often Signals That A Deeper Problem Exists. When a young couple stays in debt, it indicates that greed runs deep. Their unwillingness to wait reveals impatience. Impatience has caused more debt than we could ever imagine.*
*34. You Cannot Solve Problems For Anyone In Rebellion Against God. “But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it,”(Isaiah 1:20).Never breathe life into something God is killing. Never kill something God is resurrecting.Permit God to complete His plan in others around you.*
*35. You Cannot Solve A Problem For Someone Who Distrusts Your Ability To Do So. “He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him,” (Hebrews 11:6).*
*36. You Can Only Solve A Problem For The Person Who Knows He Has One. God cannot even save someone who does not realize they are lost. Confession is a necessity. Pharisees refused to acknowledge they had a problem. It cost them eternity.*
*37. The Problems of Others Are Not The Commands of God To Get Involved. You must develop the ability to hear The Voice of the Spirit, instead of responding to the expectations of people.*
*Rebellion creates crisis.*
*Continuous rebellion creates continuous crisis.*
*Unending rebellion creates unending crisis.*
*Many parents want to cushion the fall when their rebellious teenagers defy the Scriptures.*
*38. You Can Only Solve Problems For The Humble. The arrogant will alter your instructions. The rebellious will defy them. The prideful will ignore their problem.Confession indicates humility.*
*39. You Cannot Solve A Problem For The Unrepentant. Pharisees were unrepentant. Rebels are disqualified from receiving help.*
*40. You Cannot Help Anyone Who Does Not Trust Your Counsel. A relative asked me for counsel. I gave it. Then, they informed me that they had made a different decision. They asked me for more advice. I declined.*
*41. Those Who Disagree With Your Solution For Their Problem Disqualify Themselves For Additional Counsel. “To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin,”(James 4:17).*
*42. You Can Predict The Success of Others By The Problem They Have Chosen To Solve. Joseph chose to solve a problem for those nearest him. It guaranteed his access to Pharaoh.*
*43. Somebody You Do Not Know Is Discussing The Problem You Are Capable of Solving For Them. Never panic when you do not see the results of your efforts.Somewhere, you are being discussed. Boaz listened to his servants regarding Ruth and Naomi. He knew that she was better to a mother-in-law than 7 sons would be to their mother.*
*44. Someone In Leadership Is Carefully Observing The Attitude With Which You Are Solving Your Present Problems. Boaz respected Ruth because of her attitude toward Naomi.*
*45. Money Is Merely A Reward For Solving A Problem. When you observe someone who never has any money, they obviously are not solving problems or they are solving them for the wrong person.*
*46. Everyone Has Problems They Are Incapable of Solving. That is why the banker is necessary, the taxi driver, the brick layer, the truck driver and the psychologist. You are necessary… to someone.*

*CONCLUSION*
*Recognition of The Problem Closest To You Is The Golden Exit From Your Chaos, The Golden Gate To The Throne And Will Catapult Your Life To Promotion.*

FIRMS INTRODUCE NEW ESTATE WITH 24 HOURS ELECTRICITY.

Erratic power supply remains a major drawback to development in Nigeria and this is prevalent in all sectors of the nation's economy. There has been incidences of human casualties resulting from exposure to generator fumes and fire outbreaks due to hoarding of petrol in private residences.

The fact remains that, every Nigerian deserves a place they can call home, one with adequate amenities that will make life comfortable for them and also guarantee safety. Bearing in mind the enormous challenge of unstable electricity supply, Kingbuilder Marketing Management Limited and Orisun Estates have established Orisun Housing Scheme with 24 hours electricity supply at Mowe, Ogun State and Kuje-Abuja to serve as the solution.

Apart from the state of the art facilities available in this estate, occupants will enjoy basic amenities such as: dedicated transformers, well-finished driveways and interlocked parking spaces, boreholes, well channeled drainages, gated environments, good road networks, street lightings and overhead water reservoirs.

The housing units are located at Mowe behind the Redeemed Christian Church of God camp ground and Kuje-Abuja and they are for the benefits of both Muslims and Christians. One unique thing about this housing scheme is that it allows for 12 months instalment payment with 40% initial deposit.

Below are the prices:
1 bedroom apartment: 6m
2 bedroom apartment: 8m
3 bedroom apartment: 9.5m
3 bedroom fully detached bungalow: 16m

KUJE-ABUJA
2 bedroom semi-detached bungalow is 8.3m.
The apartments are tastefully finished with guest toilets, all rooms ensuite, kitchens with store and built-in cabinets, to mention a few. The current occupants have testified that Orisun Housing Scheme is class redefined with exceptional lifestyles, we also have affordable plots of land in Ogun, Lagos, Osun, ondo and Abuja with flexible payment plans.

You made a good point. But also you have to consider the fact. People are concern with buying a byass story with their hard earn money.

Is the Banjo family in the best position to give an unbias account of Nigeria civil war story.

Like someone pointed out before. We believe he did for being a traitor. Trying to trade Ojukwu's head. And for me. His children will try to say otherwise
