PoliticsRe: Gadaffi Again, Calls For Nigeria’s Split : Along Ethnic Lines by EzeCanada: 7:49pm On Mar 30, 2010
Like the Igbo adage says “Ezi okwu bu ndu” meaning an ambiguous life is not worth living. Kaddafi remains one of the most truthful and courageous personalities of our time.

Now Nairalander’s could you please point out which one of Kaddafi’s many remarks are falsehood

Is it his call for a reform of the UN Security Council  by abolishing the veto power of the five permanent members the United States, Britain, China, France and Russia,  who treat smaller countries as "second class”

Or his arguement for an investigation into the Iraq war. …pointing out its violation for the U.N. charter, without any justification."

…, his call for a genuine nuclear disarmament by world powers

…, his demand for compensation to be paid to Africa by its past "colonial masters"

…,  his call for a strong African Union

…. his demand for a full repatriation to be paid for Slavery by US and Europe

……His praise for American populace from relegating a black man to the back seat of the bus to making him President (Obama)

Or his recent call for Nigeria to be dissolved.

Kaddafi reminds me of a common philosophical assertion “a mad man may after all not be mad because he reasons”

His call for Nigeria’s split shows at least that he is knowledgeable and informed with the antics of the colonial masters and world affairs. Ask a Nigerian leader what is happening around the world and it will look at you like a slowpoke.

The question now is who is the mad man – between Kadaffi who is knowledgeable enough to realize that Nigeria indeed does not exist and therefore is not and the so-called Nigerian leaders such as David Mark who is ignorant… or should I say indifferent to the dysfunctional entity called Nigeria.

Show me a mad man, and I will show you David Mark, was he not the same individual who said telephone is only for the rich during Babangida's regime?

In my own opinion, if at this point in time and era you still have not realized that Nigeria is a mirage…then am very sorry because your life is not worth living like the Igbo adage says.
Christianity EtcRe: Women In Trousers: Heaven Or Hell by EzeCanada: 7:31am On Mar 23, 2010
Trousers are an item of clothing worn on the lower part of the body from the waist to the ankles, covering both legs separately (rather than with cloth stretching across both as in skirts and dresses). The word trousers is used near universally in the UK, but other English-speaking countries such as Australia, Canada, South Africa and the United States often refer to such items of clothing as pants. Additional synonyms include slacks, strides, kegs or kex, breeches (sometimes pronounced /ˈbrɪtʃɨz/) or breeks.

Historically, as for the West, trousers have been the standard lower-body clothing item for males since the 16th century[citation needed]; by the late 20th century, they had become prevalent for females as well. Trousers are worn at the hips or waist, and may be held up by their own fastenings, a belt, or suspenders (braces). Leggings are form-fitting trousers of a clingy material, often knitted cotton and lycra.

Neo colonialism still at work

I thought NL'ers are better than this.

Why Grammy, Why not an African or Nigerian based award.

Food for thought for everyone.

PoliticsRe: How Jonathan Handled Yar'adua's Return by EzeCanada: 6:00am On Feb 27, 2010
Who said COAS dambazzau should be court marshalled??, yeah! he could be court marshalled, but at least his actions although risky, were decisive, obvious and manly, It showed he's got balls.

In my own opinion, an indecisive mind is not worth living.

The COAS was articulate and swift in carring out orders unlike the Ag President who seem to be lame, timid and clueless.even toothless.

Whats the point sitting at the fencehuh declare your stand Mr. Ag president

Two things, It's either Jonathan becomes assertive and assume full control or go grab a "wrapper" from his wife. Nonesense!

CelebritiesRe: D'banj Given Chieftancy Title In Abia State. by EzeCanada: 6:00pm On Feb 19, 2010
First and foremost I think this is untrue.

I don't think the Ngwas are this silly.

If D'Banj has been of significant benefit to the Ngwa community,  behind the scene perhaps, then he deserves any thing bestowed on him irrespective of tribal line.

If However, the title or whatever was given based on his childish erratic musical achievement, then its a big SHAME to the said community, as they lack wisdom and foresight.

Didn't they see Fashola to hand a title to if they are looking for outsiders??

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Obi Re-elected Anambra State Governor: by EzeCanada: 4:34am On Feb 08, 2010
Although I would have preferred Ngigge to win based on his attributes and achievements which speaks volume for him, he got it all wrong going into the race under the AC platform which is alien to ndi Anambra.

Had another candidate won, it would have been disastrous to Ojukwu,  politically, psycho-socially and even healthwise. And I would have felt terribly bad for him because I have lot of respect for him.

I am so delighted neither Andy nor Soludo's PDP had their way into the Government house, because with any of these guys in there, things would have fallen apart.

Overall, I give God the glory.

Men should not be bothered with such topic.

Here is a secret, the more indifferent you are towards your wife's income and daily financial contributions, the more intimate the relationship becomes

PoliticsRe: Dora Akunyuli Asks Yardua To Step Down! by EzeCanada: 4:37pm On Feb 04, 2010
Leviticus 19:15 where I read today during morning devotion says " Be honest and just when you make decisions in legal cases; do not show favoritism to the poor or fear the rich"

An Igbo adage simply summarized it as, "eziokwu bu ndu" meaning "Truth is life".

Dora may God bless you and continue to strengthen you for speaking and standing for the truth.

One next step is to resign honorably just like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala did if they refuse to listen to you, that way your legacy is still  maintained.
SportsRe: NFF To Decide Amodu Future Friday by EzeCanada: 7:39am On Feb 04, 2010
Nigeria's awful performance at Angola 2010 is more systemic than localized although Amodu's incompetency made it more pronounced.

How about this,

In a country where people work with their head, a good and visionary leader should be able to appoint a sound sports minister, a sound sports minister should be able to supervise an electoral process that would produce an effective FA boss,  an effective FA boss should be able to hire a competent coach who should be to able to make good professional judgment at critical situations to deliver what is expected of him

Relatively, Super Eagles problem is more psychological. Intermittent loss of concentration during matches-especially when they are up in score, lack of motivation and character. This is becoming a national trademark.

Hence, if the afore mentioned system can be properly harnessed it should in a long run be able to yield players (local or foreign based) with positive playing attitude and winning mentality.
