Hi all

I'm British born, living in the UK

I am not sure if this has been covered anywhere before, I did a search on Nairaland to no avail

I travel a lot to Nigeria to see my husband, and we are living in separate countries due to the stringent UK immigration laws on spouse visas.

I have been to Nigeria 3 times in the last 12 months and each time I have had to get a visit visa which is in the region of £300 each time before flight tickets and antimalarial drugs.

If not for this I would be able to fly more often to see my hubby.


I came across this site after intrusive research and i think i have finally found the answer, I just need to know if i can apply for this CERPAC (Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card)-Exempted Persons (Diplomats, Government Officials (GO’s), Niger-wives, Non Governmental Organization (NGO’s) are to be issued CERPAC Gratis.

Formal letter of request from the wife
Photocopies of the first five (5) pages of husband’s Nigeria Standard passport

Applicant’s National Passport


There is nothing that mentions if I need to be living in Nigeria to qualify for this, I would greatly appreciate any input from those who have or know of someone who has applied for this before.

Make the girl talk the whole story. I know babe wey b'cos of 50k go meet another man when her man dey abroad. She didn't know the guy heard about her show and decided to test her. This guy gave her almost a million about a month prior to her mess up. Poor girl from poor family for whatsoever reason still want chop 50k l. The brother dumped her disloyal self and moved on.

I worked all through the night and was famished by the time the day broke this morning. I gave her some dough and told her to prepare me noodles and sardine, emphasizing on the fact that I was very hungry.

NOTE: Her Brother was still asleep at this time.

She prepared the meal, split it into two. Woke up and served her brother first in my guest room before coming to my room to give her hungry husband his food.

I was so mad, I ignored the food, went out to smoke a cigarette. While I was doing that it occured to me ask for advice here, because I didn't want to ask anybody I knew personally.

I still don't know whether to be mad, or to just ignore it.

I am a strong believer of common sense and respect and her actions this morning lack both! It would have take her less than 30 seconds to give me my food then go wake and serve her brother!

Is she told me she needed money for something and I put my younger sister's need over her's-no matter how tribal her's might be-i know how she'd react and the amount of making up I'd have to do.

I am trying to be very mature about this, that's why I keeping things anonymous?

Besides I'd like to know, I possibly can't be the only person who has experienced this sort of situation because they say there's nothing new under the sun. Please who has ever felt this way, I am very understanding and if something irks me, it would irk every body else too.

In my opinion, I feel your wife may be innocently doing it in ignorance. I think you should speak to her calmly and try to explain to her in simple terms why she shouldn't do that. She will listen to you
