yarimo:The southeast is the most peaceful region in Nigeria. |
I am half Ibibio and I can say that out of all the groups in Eastern Nigeria, the Ibibio Nation is the greatest ally of Igbos. The Ibibios have been better allies then our own Ikwerre brothers. |
ednut1:Tell that to the millions of Igbos following a prince from Abia named Nnamdi Kanu. |
Blackskinned:Americans do not need to say One America, because Americans know they are united. Unlike Nigerians who scream One Nigeria, when they know Nigeria is not united and it never will be. But they can continue to say it if it makes them feel better. |
I am getting tired of this belief that Igbos are not united. We are more united than Nigeria itself. Our land is not plagued by violence. Nigeria is plagued by so much conflicts - Fulani herdsman in the Middle Belt - BH operating in Northeast Nigeria - Clashes in the city of Ife - Shiites were slaughtered in the North And some say Igbos are not united? ![]() |
APCsupporter:Were the Igbo not united a couple of weeks ago which made the North so upset? Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB command the respect. Of the course there will be a few efulefu around |
Him being considered a "youth" is why the North continues to have problems. |
APCsupporter:It takes an exceptional leader to unite the Igbos. Only two people before Nnamdi Kanu have done that. That is why we can be selective. |
Who listens to MASSOB in Igboland? Only Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB carries the respect. Not even Ohanaeze, MASSOB or Igbo politicians are this loved by the Igbo masses as Nnamdi is. |
lumydee44:Where was this love when innocent protesters in the East was gunned down? If I remember correctly, many Nigerians outside the region were gloating. |
They say we Igbos should build bridges and not be insulting, but when was the last time you heard about Igbos committing acts of violence? ![]() Only one region is prone to violence and normally that violence is often aimed at others. Maybe they should build bridges for once instead of being hypocritical. |
I wrote the statement below in response to a Nairalander saying that the Igbos need to build bridges. The hypocrisy was so much I had to create a new thread. fulanmafia:Your people have already burned the bridges. The incessant violence that plagues your region. Do you think we Igbos have short memories? It is still in fresh memory how Fulani herdsman invaded a village in Enugu and slaughtered innocent Igbo villagers. Or what abour constant riots that your region has done since even Nigeria got its independence? Don't talk about bridges when innocent corpers from the south were killed, because Buhari lost an election. Should I mention the Danish Cartoon or Miss Universe pageant that caused riots in your region where innocent Christian lost their lives? Have the North repaired those bridges? Or what about the Churches that were destroyed in your region by BH. Did your people repair those bridges? Let me continue... what about Gideon Akaluka whose head was paraded in the streets of Kano. Have your people repaired that bridge? Have you forgot about Christianah Oluwasesi, Grace Ushang and Bridget Agbahime? Has your region repaired bridges after those innocent people lost their lives. Was anyone brought to justice when those crimes were committed in daylight? Your hypocritical people shouldn't talk about bridges when your Fulani brethren are causing death and destruction throughout the Middle Belt, SW, SE and SS. The sins of the North are many and I will not allow you hypocrites play the saints, when other regions have not had the type of violence that defines your region. |
fulanmafia:Whose begging? The world is already seeing your region for what it is. The barbarity of the North is known throughout the world. Nigeria is now synonymous with BH after what happened to those innocent Chibok girls. Your region is full of hypocrites. Whose elites live like kings, while the majority of the population are almajiri who can cause trouble at any minute. |

dee02:This is my favorite response aimed at me since I came back to Nairaland. I can just taste the anger aimed at Biafra. It makes me so happy that the thought of Biafra pains you so much. |
The Biafra agitation is here to stay. Igbos want a peaceful referendum. |
Ever8054:You are a fool. Was it Igbos who looted Nigeria dry? Last time I checked, IBB, OBJ and Abacha were not Igbo. What about the oil wells owned by the countless Northerners when their land is far from the Niger Delta. Are they Igbo too? Heed the words of this man. The Igbo only want a peaceful referendum. Not war. |
TheCabal:I know that we argue about the Biafra issue, but I do respect you for taking the time to do research. I'm Aro Igbo and I think people forget about the Eze Aro, and think of only about the Obi of Onitsha because Onitsha is a large city. But historically, the Eze Aro was one of the most powerful kings East of the River Niger since he was in charge of the Aro Confederacu |
simplycarro:Your country cannot even make simple toothpicks. Igbos make things of value in Aba or Nnewi, but you reject it by calling it Aba Made. |
Seems like every Yoruba has an opinion on Biafra. I wished they focused on their region and stop giving us advice that has not been solicited. |
He speaks the truth. Not just Port Harcourt but the entire East is safer. |
IpobExposed:Tell that to the innocent IPOB youth who lost their lives because of your barbaric soldiers. Was it not your barbaric troops who killed innocent protesters in A Catholic Church in Anambra! |
Everyone has an opinion, but you know what, we Igbos don't care |
Thank you Ijaw allies. |
Unfortunately Buhari led to this unfortunate events. Calling the entire East 5% Imprisoning Nnamdi Kanu Nigerian soldiers killed innocent protesters throughout the East including Port Harcourt |
How do we know if this is true? If it is, then this is bad, because Igbos only want a referendum. Everyone is free to live in our region. We are not barbaric. |
Will they keep quiet! We heard them the first time. How many Itsekiri groups we need to hear from? Let them worry about ownership of Warri |
gbosaa:Some people see Nnamdi Kanu as a prophet. He is channeling the will of the Igbo people. He is not forcing anyone to kneel or bow to him. People are doing it because they want to. I wouldn't bow to him but I respect his bravery |
doctimonyeka:You this dense one whose opinion to the wider Igbo. U be efulefu |
TheCabal:You know nothing about Igboland The Eze Aro is also a high king. |
Fake news Ohanaeze can't do that. Igbos are solidly behind Nnamdi Kanu |
Nnamdi Kanu has already said Igbos come home What more do you want him to say? You will still be complaining. |
