Politics › Re: Obasanjo Wants To Rule Nigeria "Third Term" Through Jonathan by EzeUche(m): 10:49pm On May 16, 2010
It would seem that Nigeria is about to move back to regional parties. If all this news is true, then we are starting to see the first steps of Regional parties springing up again. PDP is making a lot of people angry especially among the elite of the north and many people of the southeast. And we know how AC is spreading throughout the Southwest so this may be an interesting election. I actually believe regional parties are beneficial for Nigeria.

And having a Muslim - Muslim ticket will not mean guaranteed success. Especially, if the Muslim politician in question is a Yoruba. He will never get the support of other Muslims in the core north. The Hausa would rather have one of their own then another Muslim from another part of the country. This is the sad truth.

We should not forget that many people of the South East and South-South will scream bloody murder if their was a Muslim - Muslim ticket.

@ EzeUche, so your cardinal points have no south? FYI, we the ibibios, annangs & efiks would rather join an ijaw republic than a biafra
He is not definitely not an Ibibio. I am part Ibibio and I know what my family member state. They fear Ijaw domination more than Igbo domination, because the Ijaw are not afraid to kill other groups.

Just look at the Warri crisis. We Igbos have never targeted other ethnic groups.

Mehn the name Biafra that was given to the Eastern Region was from an Ijaw man. Not even an Igbo. People are far too stupid about Eastern ways.

LOL, my aunt actually works in admissions at UMD. Man you wasted your time. In such a bad economy, you should not be going to a mediocre business school, but let me keep my mouth shut.

Thats your business. Inbtw rarely do Igbo people start conglomerates. That is the forte of Yoruba people. You guys own Alaba I admit. Do you want me to list Yoruba dominance of the Nigerian industry- I did it for baba mekyusxx, and I have time to do it for you. Infact, I love you guys die. You helped a brokeass boy like me have the opportunity to buy all this Playstation games.
Mediocre business school? huh The Smith School of Business is in the top 20. Am staying local.

Rubbish, who said Igbo people don't start conglomerates. Whenever we are in town, we get together for a meeting and plan to buy up all the land in the town. Why fight over political spoils when we can buy up all the land right from underneath you all. You Yoruba people cannot even trust one another. My Yoruba friends would trust an Igbo man before they trust their own brother. Your people are wicked ooooooo

And this is why I am sick of this foolish country. If you hate us so much, then let us go our separate ways. Let you Yoruba and Hausa run this trashy country. And Igbo land still seethes will anger.

It will take GENERATIONS for my people to not seethe with anger.
Politics › Re: Igbo Extraction And Leadership Problem by EzeUche(m): 1:07am On May 15, 2010
Nigeria would be a better place if the Igbo were in charge. Everyone knows this.

We seen the best the Yoruba and the Hausa have done, and frankly, the world is laughing at Nigeria. Igbos have to go abroad to get appreciated for our brilliance.
Politics › Re: Kaduna On Red Alert As Christian Prepares To Take Over by EzeUche(m): 1:03am On May 15, 2010
Everyone knows the Igbo bear the brunt of any sectarian or ethnic conflict. But gone are the days when my kin would run to their homeland. They will defend their land of die trying if anyones comes for it.

The Yoruba on the other hand will beg the Emirs of the north to protect them like they did when the Hausa were slaughtering Igbos prior to the Civil War.

We Igbos will not tolerate anymore marginalization!!!  angry It has been far too long since we have tasted power. Remember that we still can bring Nigeria to its knees. We are the only people who has been able to fight the Nigerian military in battle and send over 500,000 Nigerian soldiers to their graves. Do not try us, and do not think that the world will be sympathetic to Nigeria if there is a Civil War again. We Igbos have allies now and our people in the Diaspora will prove beneficial to us if war was to happen.

There is no way we the South-South are going to be with South-East if there is a break up, Are they afraid to be on their own?

Everybody to his or her own tent.
Half of my family is from the fictional South-South as you call it. The Ibibio and Efik will always join the Igbo before the Ijaw. This is a fact. Some elements of the Ijaw want to be partners of the Igbo and some do not. Either way, we can all agree that we want to opt out of this union.

And yes, I said the South-South is a fictional term to divide the East. There was no such thing as the South-South back in the old Eastern Region. We were one. And we Igbos do not want to lord over others. That is for the Hausa and Yoruba who want to do that. We rather focus on finances, government is not for us.

I seen a ton of articles that were attributed to Yorubas. Just like the Yoruba guys who despoiled some ppl in the Baltimore Area. There name was on the news for months last year. One was the son of the ambassador to the U.S.

Mr Agaba, over 80% of these oil spills you talk about in the ND were caused by indigenous sabotage. Also, over 50% of the total spills in over 40 years occurred in the last few years that the militants unleashed a carnage on oil pipelines and flow stations their own farmlands.
How d hell are you going to blame the people whose land is being exploited? Darn some of you Nigerians are daft, it is scary!!!  angry

And when did you become a scholar on this issue? The oil spills have been occurring for years, even before the militants decided to move into the swamps and battle the government.

Some Nigerians are indeed retarded!

There is no way that the ethnic groups that once made up Biafra will ever forget it. Biafra has come to represent more than a lost nation. It represents the struggle of the Biafran (Igbo, Efik, Ibibio, Anang, etc.).

Of all the ethnic groups that made up Biafra, the Igbos were the most hated, for several reasons. This hatred came to the fore in 1966, when Igbos were massacred by the thousands in what would be the beginning of government-backed killings of Igbos. To think that Ndi-Igbo can forget that dark period in their history, is like suggesting that the Jews forget about the Holocaust, or that African-Americans forget about Jim Crow.

As long as Nigeria remains the epitome of mediocrity, lawlessness, crass ignorance, sheer stupidity and infantile logic, the Biafran struggle, worldwide, will continue.

Igbo kwenu!

He is a true son of Biafra!!!

I see the Igbo haters are out in force in this thread. Ojukwu's name was mentioned more than 10 times. Good Lord! He is like the boogey man to the other groups.

And to the people who he is saying he is Nigerian, not just Igbo, like Edoyad previously said, you better claim the next Igbo drug dealer as Nigerian as well. You cannot claim the good fruit of my people without claiming the bad fruit.

Politics › Re: What's The Implication Of Sir Ahmadu Bello's October 12, 1960 Statement? by EzeUche(m): 11:24pm On May 08, 2010
The actions of a few Igbos caused the whole entire Ndigbo to be targetted for the crimes of a few. Of course it was stupid to kill many of the North's leaders. Especially the Sardauna of Sokoto. That was just asking for a trouble. So they should have round up all the killers, not the entire people.

Anyway, we Igbos are just waiting patiently. We already learned from our mistake, but you better believe that most Igbos will never want to be considered a Nigerian. Go to Alaigbo and you will see how many people loathe the name Nigeria. Do not allow the Igbo fools in the West fool you.

kettykings:
The ibos themselves are not innocent , why would ibos go and slaughter northern leaders and expect them to keep quiet when they did nothing to you, ibos were at the helm of affairs , goverment ,politics, military , business e.t.c only for them to wreck everything in a coup when they were not being oppressed. The north was dealing with the yorubas(awolowo in jail and the state of emergency in the west) and nothing concerned ibos only for ibos to strike and kill northerners even when it wasnt ibos that they dealt with , serves ibos right . Ibos are thier worst enemy.
I definitely had to answer this. We Igbos not Ibos, were trying to free the people of the North, but look how ungrateful the northerners were. They are still just as backwards as you are. Yes, maybe my Igbo brothers should not have been pan-Nigerian and worried about the rest of the country, but we did. And look where that got us. We have given so much to this country to receive nothing.

Yes, we should have allowed the Hausa to deal with the Yoruba. The Yoruba should remember how the Igbos took the anger of the marauding Vandals off of them.
