Shekarau is a good speaker anyday.

Ribadu is temperamental. can't employ him man
Ribadu is not impressing me. The way he is debating in which he is just throwing around facts that anyone can do by looking at Wikipedia.

I hope he gets a little better as the debate goes on.

Shekarau makes more sense than any of these candidates at this debate.

I don't like Buhari nor Ribadu's response concerning the situation in the Niger Delta

Ribadu is not making sense to me. He is just shouting. Not very clear.

The moderator is asking very direct questions. Very good I must say. I think her name is Kadaria Ahmed.

Ribadu seems overly confident.

Buhari is doing well man. At his age!

You are correct. He did answer that question well.

I am somewhat impressed with Buhari's response.

Good question for Buhari though about if he would hold to democratic principles knowing his RECORD.

Nuhu Ribadu is asked that after he indicted Tinubu years ago on corruption charges, why is he now on Tinubu's party?

Good question.  grin

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Laments Fallen Glory Of North by EzeUche2(m): 6:17pm On Mar 18, 2011
I hear that the North was quite wealthy prior to colonialism. It was one of the wealthiest regions in all of Africa, before the British became involved on the continent.

PoliticsRe: Buhari's Wife Speaking At A Gathering by EzeUche2(m): 6:09pm On Mar 18, 2011
Who cares about the the wives of the presidential candidates? I would rather focus on the actual presidential candidates instead of their wife's ability to speak English.

What is the context of your OWN thread? Politics or geography?
Bayelsa is geographically east of Niger river but politically, it is SS. And since you are talking about politics, Bayelsa state is NOT in the "East".
What is your problem? The point of this thread is that one main region has produce head of states for the entire history of Nigeria, but nothing to show for it.

It is time to allow someone from the SS or SE have a chance to salvage Nigeria.

I could care less what the gov't has done for you all. All those head of states that hail from your region, I would have expected them to develop your region. However, we all know how the people of the North do not hold their leaders accountable. You all have yourself to blame, since the people of the North have been ruling this nation for long with nothing to show for it.

Errant nonsense. Last time I checked, Bayelsa is in the East.

I want him to focus on the neglected regions of the SE and SS.

PoliticsRe: Zones That Have Produced Nigeria's Head Of State by EzeUche2(op): 5:44pm On Mar 18, 2011
GEJ has not done anything to upset the East. He has actually done things in good faith when he released plans to help improve the region, which has been neglected by countless administrations.

The entire East lacks any Federal presence. That needs to stop. And every Northern head of statehas focused on his region. Even Abacha showed Kano with Federal projects during his tenure.

GEJ may be mediocre, but it is better than being utterly incompetent.

This is Nigeria. To those who provide the bulk of the wealth for the nation, I believe it is the least the country can do with showing better representation.

The North is not BORN TO RULE!

Funny how some of you are trying to make Buhari seem like a progressive even though he is as reactionary as he comes.

No former military ruler, should be involved in politics.
