![]() When Africans stop trying to say we descend from a Semitic group. We should be saying they descended from us, because Africans are the original man. We did not descend anyone! ![]() |
jason123:What do you call what is happening in Libya? The country is split actually, between East & West. The people of Benghazi seceded from Gadaffi's regime. The way some of you people use your minds is appalling. No wonder the educational system of Nigeria is failing. It is failing the youth. Jason, as Beaf already told you, you don't represent the SS. I represent the SS more than you ever will, because I have actually lived in the SS and due to my heritage. You actually thought the Itsekiri would allow their oil to be used by the wider Yoruba. Beaf had to shut you down and people do not even consider you Itsekiri. Even though I do not know much about the different group intricacies West of the River Niger, I definitely know about the groups East of the River Niger like the Kalabari, Ikwerre, Ogoni, Ibibio/Efik/Annang, Eket etc. The fact that my Ibibio side are staunch Biafrans should be enough to shut your mouth. Anything East of the River Niger are united. Why do you think we have coalesced behind GEJ? |
Solomon227:Biafra does not exist anymore so why are you mentioning Biafra in this context? Igbo governors work within a corrupt Nigerian framework. Biafra does not exist so enough with using the term. Most Igbo governors do not even have a mandate from the people, but were elected through rigging such as T.A. Orji and Ohakim. I don't know why you use these people as examples, because Igbos are already rising up against our corrupt leadership. |
Some of you people do not even see reason. Look at how the world changing before you, and you still have a 1960 mindset. Nothing remains static, things change. Revolutions or conflicts will spread throughout the world. I actually believe Kosovo has set the standard, then Southern Sudan and now the Arab Revolt. |
Sagamite:Let me make it simple for you, Shekarau applied practical answers to the questions due to his background as the governor of Kano State and as a former teacher. His answers about the educational system had very good substance. If you didn't listen to him, maybe you should listen to the debate again. And Ribadu's stating that because he is young, he should be elected should not be his only reason. "I'm young, I'm young, so vote for me," is not a clear definition to why we should vote for him. Such a boisterous young man could not articulate himself as someone who is educated. I was very disappointed in him and I had high expectations for him. |
Sagamite:Then you must have a hard time comprehending. After you get past the eloquence of his words, they actually had substance. Ribadu's only good performance during the debate was about electricity. Him saying vote me because I am young shows that he is not ready to be president of Nigeria. And Buhari looked lost throughout the entire debate and past his prime. |
GEJ may have benefited from snubbing this debate, because we have seen Ribadu's lackluster responses and Buhari's ambiguous statements. Shekarau, the moderator and maybe GEJ are coming out as the clear winners. |
And Ribadu is a buffooon. I would vote for Buhari before I ever vote for Ribadu. |
fstranger3:The sky must be falling if I am aggreing with fstranger3. As they say, politics make strange bed fellows. |
This is something I am starting to believe in. Since oil will be at stake. Everyone knows that the people of the Niger Delta have been oppressed. |
Sun of god:We think alike in many aspects my brother. ![]() |
In a way, I am glad three northerners debated. It shows how diverse the region is and I have yet to see much tribalism from people when discussing this debate. For the most part, I see many of us just want this nation to progress. |
;d :d ;d |
I don't think Pat Utomi wasn't invited. Probably would have made the debate more interesting. GEJ has a lot of explaining to do. |
Newscaster:That's a lie. |
Ahmadu Bello spoke very good English. Even though Balewa is not Hausa, he is still a Northerner and he spoke very good English as well. I have seen many Hausas speek good English better than people in the South. |
eku_bear:I agree with this assessment. And I shared the same sentiment about Ribadu. Buhari was very cautious in his approach to the questions. I thought he would be talking about purging corruption with more gusto. |
fstranger3:And your point? She did a good job. And she also shows that Hausa-Fulani women are intelligent as well. The North has more to offer I must say. |
eku_bear:Buhari and Ribadu have different accents. Buhari is a clear Northern (Katsina) accent. Ribadu has an accent that i hear from people in Adamawa state. Vastly different I must say than the accents found in Katsina or Kano state |
fstranger3:She is not even Yoruba. ![]() The woman is Hausa-Fulani from either Zamfara or Kano state. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-435649.0.html We were getting along before this mehn! ![]() |
Evil Brain:Kadaria Ahmed was clearly a winner. She was easy on eyes, very intelligent, and a very good moderator. I expect great things from her. We need more women in Nigeria like her to step up and run for political office. |
madanju:Even Fashola has been having problems with strikes. Yet, people still like Fashola Kano is nothing special. Just, because people are on strike does not discount the good he may have done for his state. You can't please everyone. Anyway, I still want more information about Shekarau. |
I actually have no allegiance to any political party. I just like candidates. PDP in Abia has lost my support, by have T.A. Orji as their flagbearer. However, I was a GEJ supporter, but I am kind of upset that he didn't participate in the debate. Ribadu will never get my support. I can't say about Buhari. But Shekarau has really impressed me. That is why I need more information about him. |
fstranger3:Thank you. Buhari didn't do that bad though. . . I think old age may be a factor. Ribadu is just a buffoon who annoyed me. While I enjoyed listening to Shekarau. |
eku_bear:I see your point. Comparing Ribadu to Buhari, Buhari is the clear winning. Mehn, I am really disappointed with Ribadu. Such an arrogant, pompous buffoon. People led me to believe he was somewhat educated. |
Throw Ribadu out and lets have a debate between Shekarau, GEJ, Buhari and invite Pat Utomi. |
Kobojunkie:Are you telling me the youthful vibrance that he once possessed when targeting criminals is no more? Or are you arguing for the sake arguing like usual. LMAO |
Can someone rid me of this pesky cockroach? ![]() |
Buhari is the cautious one and very ambiguous. I would have liked to see more force from him. Not like Ribadu, but force like the Buhari we are all used to hearing. |
Ribadu was horrible. I would never vote for him. The arrogance that came out his ignorant mouth was something that does not do the ACN any justice. Even though I may not like the ACN, they could have picked someone better than this buffoon. |
We need more information on him, but I like what I heard! ![]() |
The people who voted for Buhari and Ribadu are liars. I am a GEJ supporter and even I am unbiased when I say Shekarau was the clear winner. |
