Bro, war is not about brute strength. Its about strategy and the smartest wins!!!
And we Igbos have the brightest minds. We have strength and intelligence. Yorubas have cunning. I will not deny that. And Hausa have zeal. Religious zeal to be more exact.

eku_bear,

You better hope that Igbo leaders are not like me. Because I have no qualms with wiping out an entire village or town. I have no mercy for those who mock my people.

Maybe I should write a book called MY STRUGGLE.

We Igbos are still waiting for a charismatic leader to lead us out of that wilderness. Igboland is ripe for that leader.
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Kicks Against Southwest For Senate President by EzeUche2(m): 10:15pm On Jan 28, 2011
I am done.

We know how Yorubas really never controled government. OBJ was a stooge for the North.

Igbos have ruled Nigeria. Yorubas NEVER!

fstranger1:
Hows that possible?

It is natural for the smart ones to marginalize the dumb ones. Like in America, where Whites marginalize blacks. Exactly, the same thing in Nigeria.
Northerners are in power and have remained in power since the Igbos lost the war. What does that tell you? We Igbos have an excuse. What excuse the Yorubas have? The North even picked OBJ.

These Northerners really run Yorubaland.

43 years, 43 years and you still cannot handle the same Nigerian Govt. 43 years and you still feel marginalized. One of the richest group in Nigeria, one of the smartest group in Nigeria. . . .yet you're still being led by your leash. c'mon.

Trouble in Lagos? okay!
Wait to my generation gains power in Igboland. We will bathe this nation in blood. Our parents are the ones holding us back, because they survived the war.

Well, let me not quibble over #s, since I don't have my references handy.

Question for you is, who won and who lost? Who had their land gobbled up and who expanded? Who lost property, wealth and assets, who gained? Who fled to the Ivory Coast, who did not?

In any case, it is probably more useful to look at the performance of individual commanders in that war. Some (like Adekunle) were very effective, others (Murtala Mohamed) were less so.

Just going forward though. . . if an undesirable outcome occurs against you, please do not whine! Nothing I hate more on earth than a person who makes threats then complains after getting their backside kicked.
All I have to say is bring it on. One on one fight. We know the Igbos would kick the Yoruba arse. If we can handle all of Nigeria, when handle one ethnicity.

You talk as your group solely defeated the Igbo. Remember it was a "collective" effort to bring the Igbo back into the fold. And they still needed foreign help from the British to defeat Biafrans. I am proud of Biafra history and will be happy to fight just like my father did before me.

I cannot wait till the day the East rises again. Mark my words.

You never see me and most top Igbo commentators on those threads. They are re-tarded.

I am busy mehn.
And that is the truth.

Why should we waste our time with the trivial Yoruba?

But you see how they flock to Igbo threads.

@Ileke-IdI: They are all talk, no action. Remember Ojukwu too was like this? "Largest army in black africa", or something to that effect. Got beat up like pinatas, though.
All talk when we sent 500,000 Nigerian men to an early grave. What did Nigeria do? Oh I forgot, target defenseless women and children. Real men know how to fight wars. Let us be clear.

Why do you say prefer to live in slums of Lagos, when the majority of Igbo still reside in the SE?

But in all honesty, Yorubaland doesn't really have much to offer the Igbo.

Lagos will be reclaimed by the sea, so we Igbos should look to the East.
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Kicks Against Southwest For Senate President by EzeUche2(m): 9:49pm On Jan 28, 2011
Yorubas are rabid tribalist.

Look at them show their fangs when it comes to Lagos.

Maybe we Igbos should claim Ibadan for fun.  grin grin grin

Nightmares of Ore are still fresh in their mind.

jason123:
When you do this, it shows you and Onlytruth have inferiority complex!!!

Another term for having this syndrome is having a very low SELF ESTEEM. Many of us suffers this phase one way or another. Those with inferiority complex are more likely to be miserable, unhappy, ill-tempered and argumentable. They are ones who always feel rejected, unloved and useless. The confidence level is way down hell and attention span is way over heaven. Extremes, right?

DESTRUCTIVE CRITICISM - These people know their flaws or shortcomings and yet, whenever they are being given an opionion they take it seriously and that will make them feel worse. Since they have extremely low self esteem, they feel like they didn't do well but if you point that out, well, that will be the day!

FLATTER ME! - You want to always hear others complimenting how you look, how you did on that article, what you did great or what have you. Because you are so desperate, there are some instances that if nobody praises you, you'll start telling people what you did so you'd get nice compliments. Or you will start asking people, "Do you think I did great?", "Do I look good tonight?" , so you'd get complimented. (What if the person you asked said otherwise? Well, that wil make your self esteem way way low)

UNHEALTHY COMPETITION - You really don't love competing with others but if you do, you'll find all ways on how you can outdo your competition. Because if you loose, then you'll feel that you aren't that good enough and you will instill in your mind not compete with anyone for you will never win at all. You envy those who are always on top of everything and you feel you will never be like that even in your wildest dreams

Stop that. They should keep building it in Yorubaland. We'll need all those stuff when Nigeria breaks. I'm waiting for one Igbo mumu to build a road in Ekiti State all for the pride of "indomitable Igbo spirit".

Lagos will always have Igbos. So get over it people.

It is funny how Yorubas go rabid about that slum Lagos.

Lagos has no value to me, but the fact that Igbos live in that city makes it IMPORTANT to some of my people.

Here is the way I see it.

Yoruba's don't like anybody but themselves. They even hate Igbo.

Hausas hate Igbo because we don't bend over for them to screw from behind like Yoruba does.
In fact only Igbo stand between them and total Islamization of Nigeria -dipping Koran in the sea.

Anybody trying to win the Yoruba in bragging and talking is wasting his time.

Igbo live and thrive in Lagos because of the indomitable Igbo spirit. Yoruba has NOTHING to do with it.
We Igbos can thrive in war zones. That is why we can be found in all corners of Africa.

Thank God I was born an Igbo man.
PoliticsRe: Akunyili Kicks Against Southwest For Senate President by EzeUche2(m): 9:37pm On Jan 28, 2011
The Yoruba only gave the Ijaws a "warning" after they bombed Atlas Cove.

Even the Ijaws laugh. Just imagine what we Igbos can do.

Lagos was built off of Eastern oil. I will claim Lagos. If we Igbos cannot have Lagos. Then no one can!  grin grin grin

I am just waiting for Yorubas to start wahala. We all know these weak people like to talk all this nonsense.

We Igbos have seen war. You Yorubas have not. The last time you Yorubas have seen any war in your heartland was 100 years ago. It is about time we test your battle spirits.

You do know it would be a 3-way battle. I am pretty sure the Hausas will not be chased out of Lagos. And let us not forget about the warlike Ijaw who have dared to strike at Lagos. It will be a battle Royale! Just try us.

Next time OPC starts killing your folks, dont go running to the Oba of Lagos for help  ok?
jason123:
OPC is not yet ready for your a55! All mouth and no action. If they now touch you, you would be the first to say that, "we are leaving Nigeria", "no one likes us", "we are discriminated against by the yoruba oligarch and the northen caliphate", " we are going to the UN to report you", "this is genocide" ,blah, blah ,blah. Why can't you just live somewhere without attracting violence on yourselves? Bros, live and let live!
That will be the day when Yorubas start attacking Igbos. When that happens, Lagos will look like a war zone. So you better hope that doesn't happen. We Igbos would rather destroy Lagos than be chased out of it.

If we can't have, then no one can.

what he  did is simply not that impressive. Any idle person can pull it off. Remember, he used to work in a bank and had help throughout

There is nothing impressive about what he did.

I dont still understand why eevryone is impressed. Do you know how porous the american banking system is? His scamming will not even work in naija. Its very easy to transfer money from someones bank account to your account without the person being notified in the US.

his "ingenuity" is as a result of a badly set up system.
You have been screaming the thing all through this thread. Do I sense jealousy? I mean are you jealous of a scammer? The man is intelligent. Now get over it.

Exactly my point: OAU is the Yale of Nigeria while UI represents the Harvard and Oxford of the Nigerian educational system. Therefore a 2:1 or 2:2 from either institution is generally better regarded than any first class form other institutions. OAU and UI accept the cream de la cream of JAMBites. Some schools in the East arent better than elite secondary schools (like Kings, GCI etc) in the SW.
Rubbish. Do not dare compare those universities to Harvard or Oxford. What kind of nonsense are you spewing?

Interesting new posts.

@fstranger1: You probably take the Yale 2:1 guy over the University of Maryland 1st class guy. Dunno how these things translate into GPA and class percentile, but you generally take the person who went to the better school, unless that person has a terrible GPA or the lower-tier school guy is exceedingly brilliant.

Regarding tribalism in hiring. . . basically, a private business can hire whoever they like. If it is a Yoruba-owned or controlled business, then it is their prerogative to look to hire Yoruba first before others.

Part of that is just natural human tendency. . . if you can hire your cousin to do a job, why give it to an outsider?
Well that is illegal in Nigeria. Just like it is in the U.S. That is why you have diversity programs in many corporations in the U.S. and affirmative action in some sectors.

Once again, tribalism is for primitive minds, there are no major differences in our DNA.

@ EzeUche, if there was a referendum amongst the minority groups that you have discerned, and they accepted to be incorporated
into a Biafran State, I would agree whole heartedly with you, and I genuinely mean that.

My obsession with creating a broad "NON ISLAMIC ALLIANCE" is only because I believe it is more feasible, with a chance for
international support. If after Southern Nigeria has successfully split Ndigbo insist on forming their own state, don't you
think that this can be done amicably, or do you really believe that the Yoruba in the West would be willing to fight a War
to keep the UNION going. All I am saying is that there are many ways to skin a cat. Think strategically.

Reality is that the Southern Nigerian route is still the best way to achieve the Biafran dream.
No one discusses what is in our DNA. There is only one race and that is the human race. However, there are DIFFERENCES in our identity, which is influenced by our ethnicity & cultural beliefs. That is where our differences come from. We all look through different lens that are shaped by our cultural beliefs. Now enough with you bolded statement.

Well we all have different "obsessions." You can continue with your "Non Islamic Alliance" even though the Yoruba have a large Muslim population, but I am in full support of a united East. You can pursue your "Southern Nigerian" route and I will pursue my Eastern Nigerian route. Just do not get in the way.
