I do not think any leader from the South would be able to handle this perennial violence. This is not the first time these people have acted up. There has always been riots in the North even before independence. Yet the people of the South have not learned.

What of muslim doctors treating christian patients and vise versa. What of teachers, aid workers? Let us intelligently discuss implementable solution to this problem. Hating is just plain dumb.

But bad Christians do not kill in the name of religion. Christians are peaceful people for the most part. The same cannot be said of our Muslim "brothers."

The burning seems to still continue, it has only moved from one section of town to the other!

My brother any word from Jos? I am getting very worried now. I have family members in that town, who I am very close to. When will this nonsense end?

That's a lie. Even though most Christian Yorubas are tolerant of their Muslim brothers, many still view Islam with great suspicion. And rightfully so. I have heard Yorubas mock Islam so do not act like it happens!

"I stay in jos and i know how the violence started. The muslims coming back from burial attacked two female students and stabbed them. This provoked the students to a protest in which the so-called security (army) shot at students. While they (army) were shooting at students, the muslim rioters were burning down churches and the soldiers did nothing to stop them. Sahara reporters should put religion aside and give the news truthfully."

Are you not all Nigerians or can you not see beyond ethnic and religious differences. No matter which part of the country you are in, the enemy is the one who has failed you in leadership irrespective of his/her tribe or whatever, not your fellow oppressed citizen.

Can you not see the killings as a direct result of failed leadership? I am surprised at how quick we are to chant for division. Anyway, till the 'division' is unavoidable why not look at each other as fellow nigerians till then.

And you are a fool! How many of my brothers and sisters have to be butchered in the North, so that you can realize that this nation is not working. These people see the people of the South as enemies and you still want to be in a nation with them.
