chukwudi44:That's a typical person logic hail bent on wallowing on ignorant when you allow personal partisanship to dictate how you reason. It was the same reason Amaechi becomes a governor. If the second person in that election went to court instead of Amaechi, he could have become Amaechi. The main loser here in the person in PDP who believed they were schemes out by the primary in Taraba capital but never took the opportunity but the APC did. |
chukwudi44:Why should they order a rerun if the law never authorized it under the circumstances of the facts presented to them? Law is different from personal opinion or personal judgement. The way law see things is different from the way a man of the street does sees it. Even Judges often gave a judgement they doesn't personally agreed with because the law tied their hand. They often express this by their obiter dictum. Many people are just totally ignorant of the law, including the so called SAN lawyers and I blamed it on many decades of military rule, which makes the judiciary an institution seen but not heard. |
Mogidi:And when they don't, who will you accuse of partiality this time? Instead of being angry with PDP you people are blaming the wrong people. How can you blame FIFA or the team awarded the point instead of blaming the coach and team management for fielding an illegitimate player in a crucial match? |
That's is Mr Mike's personal opinion but not based on legal logic. If the suit was joint between APC and possibly a PDP candidate who was schemed out by the unlawful primaries in Abuja, then his logic would have meant little something. When a team fielded an illegitimate player for a match and win, the football governing body do not stage a 're-match, they will rather award 3 points and 2 goals for the victim team and a fine against the culprit team. In the Olympic games, when the winner fail a drug test, you don't stage a rerun race but rather the silver medallist is awarded the gold and others behind will be upgraded in various finishing positions. When people who should know better reasons like an ignorant man on the street, it makes vou wonder. As long as the law is concerned, this Taraba case is the easiest to deal with for any sane judge because it's very straightforward. |
oluwabishop:GEJ was not acting |
Obiebuka:She was in acting position and not a full fledged elected governor like the Taraba woman. |
You have said exactly what I said in another thread. This case is so simple by the benefit of PDP fouling their own law. I will be absolutely shocked if they succeed at the appeal. Any person with even little knowledge of the law and how it's interpretation knows that APC has a very strong case based on this. |
mindurword:Many of you are misguided and blinded by political party affiliation. If not, the reason given by the tribunal is quite a solid one and the easiest to reach. Any competent legal person can decide this case in an hour if it was strictly based on the fact of their decision. Did you have your primary in Abuja? Yes Is the law against it? Yes Does that invalidate your candidacy as result according the the law? Yes So simple. |
With Metuh and Fayose as PDP mouthpiece, they stand absolutely no chance. Do they often read facts before coming out with their usual nonsense? APC based their case on two grounds of which the tribunal chose the easiest of the two because the law governing primaries is as clear as anything. If going by the tenents of the law, I think this woman from Taraba has a solid case at appeal than those from Akwa Ibom or Rivers. It's easy to prove breaking a simple rule than proving evidentiary crime like rigging. APC has a solid case based on the infringement of how primary should be conducted. A future lesson for all the parties. This is how judicial process looks like, fact base and letters of the law judgement, not sentiment. Whether the tribunal sits in Abuja or not is highly irrelevant as the rules that constituted them allowed that. Fayose and Metuh reactions mirrors a convicted speeding driver, asking why F1 drivers are allowed to do 275kph while he was being punished for doing the same mileage? Stupid reasoning. |
I thought they don't need the bailout according to Fayose? Lol |
Hopefully Fayose's media aid is reading this. Whenever a push comes to a shove, you are on your own. |
Samandgrace:What is fair hearing, in a hurry, allowing a deliberate attempt not only to delay the trial but to find a way of sculttling it? Court is about facts, figures and the law. Not sentiment. The judge quoted an Act of the law he based his decision on. The so called lawyers should have quoted what law they have based their arguments on? They claimed tradition. Whose tradition? Where was this tradition when they were at Appeal court earlier? It was a tradition, that judicial corruption has built over the years above proper judicial process they are gunning for. Its the job of the Supreme Court to have called for a stay of execution if they deem it necessary but they didn't and the corrupt lawyers threw a tantrum because they were not allowed to delay the proceedings. |
chukwudi44:What makes them think that supreme court will over rule the Appeal Court earlier decision? The job of the appeal court and supreme court is to hear an appeal over the judgment emanating from first instance courts. But corrupt Nigeria lawyers are desperate to turn them into tools to stop a judicial process. The two appellant courts has rather become the first court of instance rather than being the last. If the political lawyers refused to defend their client, the judge can assign Saraki any willing counsel from the state counsels or let him defend himself if he so wished. He cannot claim that he wasn't privy to the walkout but the judge refused to be bullied or fooled. This seems to be their last card in the delaying tactics game from day one. |
Herald47:Because GEJ was busy counting his borrowed money from Chinese and telling himself that Nigeria is rich and the likes of you were dancing on the street celebrating phoney Africa largest economy. A classic 419. They looted the treasury, the external reserve and plunged Nigeria into $60b debt, after inheriting almost a debt free from OBJ. And those responsible still got the gut to talk about economy? Only in Nigeria. The worst is stupid Nigerians, how can many forget so quickly? |
Football is all about goals before anything else |
Game over? |
Penalty |
Saved by the post |
Great response 3-2 |
Next goal will be crucial |
hayorzzyzx:His boys? The old man probably fast asleep now, after the days work. |
Mexico need the whistle now. |
Wow what a goal!!!,Okonkwo |
In football, if you don't take your chances, it will come back to bite you . 1-1 |
It could easily be over by now, if Mexico had taken their chances. They look dangerous each time. |
Another let out for Nigeria |
Nigeria cannot keep the ball. What sort of boots are they wearing that they kept slipping? |
Mexico should been far away by now. Nigeria is very lucky to still be in the game, which is a good sign for Nigeria. |
bidexmimi:As if its not the same God that created the Mexicans. Am sure God has more important things to occupy him than an U17 game. |
Mexican national anthem is wack and too long. I thought it's not going to finish. Lol |
HoLEEsinner:Get a proper job, this conspiracy theory job is wack. |
SeverusSnape:And if he is to be found guilty as charged, am sure you will be first to equally scream vindictive justice, eventhough the sheriff can never be a judge. |
