I stay in owerri in imo state...about 5 minutes away from that bridge, so I can tell u the truth.
Gov. Rochas is a con man. that bridge is substandard and inferior. They are making use of the excavated soil to fill up the fly- over;the soil was not compressed, and the roads are already facing erosion while under construction. No sane individual will cross that fly-over.
what manner of governor starts making the state's first fly-over in his second tenure?
Substandard, So said a qualified first class structural engineer talking from work experience.

I agree with you on this. Okorocha was pressurised into embarking on flyover that could have been replaced by cheaper roundabout. The money could have been used for other needs but I have a strong belief your type will stilll find fault if he used it for the Umuna flood control.
You guys cannot be satisfied. If he abandoned it totally due to cost, you will complain, if he took the cheaper option, you will still whine, he tried to finish what his predecessor started you also have something to cry about. Lol

Fly over is not an advancement, it a city concrete jungle. You do not see fly overs in posh areas of any city.

Rochas no get shame at all. he tot people is not aware how is milking the state dry. Ohakim started this project which he abandoned for over 4 years. he is doing it now because it leads to his new house.
That is the way government works. You continue from where your predecessor stopped. The same way he inherited Ohakim's debt burden and overblown civil service. Unless you are telling me that Ohakim started it with his own personal money?

The truth is not about hearing what you wanted to hear. How did Shehu Sani become a senator? Through his popularity or climbing at the back of those men?
If anyone thinks that the corruption crusade is selective, wait till it get to your turn, you can catch as many enemy thieves that you can as long as they have done something wrong. No non criminal minded person will care a jolt.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Administration’s Anti-corruption War Political — Shehu Sani by Eziachi: 11:01am On Dec 02, 2015
Instead of Nigerians to be happy and supportive that questions are being asked about the actions their past office holders, they are busy pointing fingers and asking why B is not arrested along with A or C first before they can be arrested, arraigned and tried?
Will Sani query why the dare devil armed robber terrorizing his Zaria town should be arrested when the one terrorizing Owerri town has not been caught along with him first?
If the last government had targeted corruption opposition personalities for 16 years, at least few rogues will be behind bars now.
No society had managed to gather every single criminal in the land all at the same time before prosecuting. What about him is not a viable criminal trial defence. Defend your own crime and worry not about another supposed criminal.

This post gives room for sober reflection. ...see ayiri emani....GEJ supposed right hand man...someone that made money off GEJ openly dinning with his enemies....even timi alaibe who olusegun adeniyi even said in his books that GEJ protected him when boyloaf and sylva wabted to heap kidnapping charges on his head during yar aduas regime.....see them openly frolicking with his foes..

is it that GEJ is a bad manager of men or what cos I honestly do not understand the kind of betrayal meted out to him in just 6months of him being out of power.

So many of his supposed beneficiaries have all openly denigrated him....this life ehen....human beings are so feeble and untrustworthy.....they are worse than animals as regards loyalty.
Stop all the betrayal nonsense as politics of Nigeria had always been permanent interest and never permanent friendship.
Jonathan you claimed was betrayed, when he was deputy governor was organising civic reception for his boss who had just returned after escaping from England, but within minutes he was pulled to Abuja by OBJ he quickly abandoned Alamasiegha and his civic reception to become governor or be impeached with him.

Isa Yaguda climbed on the back of Buhari to become the governor of Bauchi under ANPP but within weeks after his swearing in, he jumped into the lap of Yar Adua and PDP.
You forgot the theory of 16 is greater than 19 and who was behind it, wasn't that a betrayal?

When Mimiko was at the tribunal fighting against PDP, the then ACN machine was thrown behind him and supported him. But when he eventually won, we knew where he went with his loyalty. Etc.
So stop this betrayal story, it's the norm.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Will Become A Reality- Analyst by Eziachi: 12:39pm On Nov 28, 2015
rawglobalnews:
But it is not as if the crown jewel has been taken away and the rest of us are ordinary stones or mere shafts as the radio Biafra propaganda wants people to believe. The vast in-road they have made in trade and commerce all over the country is because their host ‘nations’ have been accommodating and have provided a level playing field. This, of course would stop. In any case, it has hardly been reciprocated in Igbo land. The Igbos for all the noise, don’t believe in inclusiveness.
Before the creation of Nigeria Biafra people had no contact with rest of Nigeria except possibly the Ijaws, Efik, Ibibio, Annang and by small measures the Idoma, Igala and Bini.
So what is this about crown and jewels? Any one can exist on it's own. Every time I heard this words of accommodating and non accormodating I asked why the highest concentration of Ghanaians lived in Igboland than any other parts of Nigeria when Ghanaians are in huge number in Nigeria especially in Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi if Ndigbo are not accommodating?
All the popular Ghana bands in the 70s and 80s were all based in Aba and Onitsha and records with Rogers All Stars Records in Awka.
Should you blame Ndigbo for choosing to remain in your villages? If you choose to live in Igboland can you compete with a small piece of land selling for millions because no one is that desperate to sell his land? While your is for the highest bidder in Lagos, Abuja. Sabongari was an abandoned area in Kano until Ndigbo made it viable place to live.

If you want to trade in Onitsha, Aba or Nnewi can you afford a square metre space that goes for millions for sale or thousands monthly for rent?
Can you cope to travel all the way to Kano, Lagos or Abuja risking your cash to robbers just to catch a flight abroad when you live in Igboland?
How can you cope having to import your goods into Lagos and then the risk of transportation of the goods to bad roads, accidents, robbers and robbers in uniforms because there is no alternative in Onitsha through the River Niger and the Ports in Port Harcourt was deliberately ran down and almost non functioning? That's what it takes to live in Igboland inside the Nigeria Union.

This is the reasons most Nigerians do not live in Igboland in their large numbers as Igbo does in other parts of Nigeria. Except for those non Igbos doing menial jobs and trade.
If Onitsha port is developed, Enugu and Owerri airport we built by our selves effort are brought to the 21st century, important government ministries are sited in Igboland and foreign missions are encouraged to to set up consulates in Enugu and Owerri, the number of Biafrans all over other parts of Nigeria will halved in a twinkle of an eye.
There are more Igbos in Cameroon than Igbos in the entire northern Nigeria. There more Igbos in Gabon, Ivory coast than Igbos in entire Yorubaland. There are more Igbos in Equatorial guinea than Igbos in Urhrobo and Itshekiri put together.

These are fact uninformed Nigerians do not realize when they ask us to be appreciative of living in any part of our supposed country they killed us in million to be part of or go back to your land.
PoliticsRe: Biafra Will Become A Reality- Analyst by Eziachi:
rawglobalnews:
The protests may be fuelled by yet to be identified financiers, but those fanning the embers of secession are youths who have abandoned their various vocations to participate in the protests. Some are doing so for genuine, if misguided reasons. Some, not so genuine. Some might not even be of Igbo origin. But all are unhappy and discontented with their lives and have inadvertently become willing pawns in a complex chess game.
Another ridiculous quote from a typical Nigerian. You claimed not to know the financiers but then became a God who searched the hearts to know why the youths are doing it. If you so sure that it's only a trade for misguided youth that are pushing for Biafra, then put the Biafra issue in a referendum and let's see how right you are with your theory.

After a period of studied but loud silence, the Igbo elders have come out to condemn the protests and by extension, the agitation for Biafra, by listing the many hurdles that await the realisation of Biafra. I don’t think they have gone far enough.
Who are these Igbo leaders? Ohaneze social club or professional politicians? Leaders that cannot spent a night in their villages without army and police protection because they are afraid of their own people? If you want to see the real Igbo leaders, kindly attend any Igbo town union meeting for community development, there you will meet the real, genuine and respected Igbo community leaders, not Abuja based hungry political jobbers who are more afraid of Biafra than Nigerians.

The protesting youths need to be educated on the inevitability of war should they continue on this path. And should Radio Biafra continue to denigrate and insult every other tribe in Nigeria, the protesters are going to have many hostile neighbours.
Why do they have to associate independent to a fight or war? The war between Nigeria and Biafra wasn't because of the secession, it was more than that. How much war did Nigeria fight against the British to gain their freedom? As we speak, no armoured tanks in Catalonia by Spanish army. Scottish people recently by a small majority to remain in the Union, not by force, intimidation, blackmail or threatened with treason charges.
No divorce, either of marriages or business partnerships or countries is without scars and casualties. The resultant ‘freedom’ is often not worth it.And speaking of marriages, our parents were not any happier in their unions than we are. Yet they largely stuck with them, learnt mutual respect in the process and gave us stable homes in which to develop.
Another baseless claim. There are millions of amicable marriage and business partnership break ups every year. When you cherry pick to suit your myopic reasoning that is what happened. Tell me how the Czech and Slovakia broke up, Bangladesh and Pakistan? Because you treat your own wife like sh#t and she remained with you or your father treated your mother as slave rather than an appreciated partner, you should use the same ruler to measure every other marriages.

The UK comprises of four distinct nations. They have been pushing and pulling themselves for as long as I can remember. They are often privately disdainful of one another. But they realise in their wisdom, that the components cannot be better or greater than the whole. So it is with Nigeria. The recent history of the Soviet Union, Sudan and other countries that have had to balkanise themselves because of unresolved internal contradictions are there for all to learn from.
I have lived in Britain for over 40 years and married to a Scottish woman all those years but never have I heard an English person telling my wife that she should be grateful for being allowed to live in any other part of the UK, her own country, or ever been called a non indigenous person in her own country. Wales of only less than 2 million people has their own government that can decide every aspect of their lives except monetary policy, immigration, defence and foreign policy but Igboland of over 40 million people is begging for a new bridge for 40 years now because everything is controlled by Abuja or Lagos before that. Not a single emerged 15 republics out of Soviet Union that will be willing to go back to the Soviet Union arrangement except the Russians for obvious reasons, dominating others. South Sudan despite their current internal problem will never dream of going back to Sudan. So your example are idiotic. United Kingdom with almost 500 years of union saw the need in 1999 to create a devolved government for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland or the Union will disappear altogether. Yet Biafrans are constantly told that they shall be grateful to a so called host communities. How can one be a guest in his own country? Where on earth has a person been deported inside his own country as done by Fashola under the watchful eyes of Goodluck Jonathan? Yet that pain on your neck cannot equally be allowed to go?

That's a good piece, Reuben. The most annoying thing is the youths who clamour for these spent forces to continue preying on them and their own times, chances and generation. Our youths are fools and will remain fools until a democratic revoluution is organized by the youths themselves to hijack power from the old-age infected political gangsterism we call parties in Nigeria and indeed Africa. Recently, Senator Bukola Saraki headed the Senate Screening Committee that screened his father's long time friend, Chief Audu Ogbeh who was screened by the father of the Senate president in 1982 both times as Ministerial nominee. One was left to imagine if Chief Audu Ogbeh doesn't have a qualified child (boy or girl) that could have been given that opportunity. Obviously, Chief Audu Ogbeh is already usurping the chances, opportunities, slots and quotas of his children. That's exactly what's happening to Nigerian Youths and their God-given destiny.
George W Bush was still at school when Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld was in government with Bush senior and both men served as vice president and defence Secretary respectively to Bush Jr later in 2001, despite Rumsfeld being same Secretary of defence between 1975-77.

Barack Obama was still in secondary school when his vice-president Joseph Biden first arrived in Washington DC as a politician.
Robert Byrd was in the US Senate between 1959-2010 for a total of 51 years and some months. Daniel Inuoye was also in the US Senate for 50 years, so too was Strom Thurmond who was in the same Senate for 47 years.

In the house of representatives, John Dingell of Michigan was a congressman for 57 years and 5 months

Albert Rosellini was Washington state governor at the age of 101 plus some days.
In fact there are 6 governors in the USA history who were over the age of 100 in office.
Rose Mofford was the Arizona governor at the age of 93 in 1993 if I could recall.

So ask yourself, how old is the late Audu and Audu Ogbe? Some of you should have learned by now that age is never a prerequisite for success whether being young or being old as long as you earned your position but not in crookedly fashion like Mugabe.
So when two face Abati try to deceive the gullibles, he must understand that we are not all daft. He should be writing to explain to his readers why he told that lie that Mrs Jonathan was on holiday resting , while the woman was busy fighting for her life in German hospital?

Abati was even threatening the likes is Sahara Reporter because they chose to report the fact he was lying about. He thinks he can pickup the pen again trying to be one of you?
I always pity Nigerians for their unbelievable short memories, hence the likes of Abati can crawl back anytime to impress them as this supposed born again good journalist trying to revert the clock of time. As far as am concerned Abati is a turncoat, two faced opportunist without principles like the rest of the people he got the guts to be criticizing about or write about. Damn him and his hypocritical pen.

If they lied , they should say so and apologize, if they cannot because of the empty treasury they inherited or 60% drop in the oil revenues, they should equally say so with a measure of humility.
For you, you should come out and apologize for your spreading of fear of Islamization, which many people believed and lived in fear for.
