So someone is calling our government to be accountable and you're insulting him?

This is why I'm PDP all day. It seems that the rational half of Nigerians have shifted to PDP because the fanatical/ignorant half has fully conquered APC. The only people making sense today are PDP. The only governors not owing money are PDP. The only politicians that face their work and not the media are PDP. The Senator is doing his job by providing checks and balances while you as youth are doing your miserable job of looking for grown men to call baba and follow blindly.

Acidosis:
Power Issues in Nigeria cannot be fixed in 10years.

Obj and Jonathan have set a landmark by reforming the power sector. Thr call for Power Sector reform in Nigeria came in too late, some countries like Netherlands, Denmark, India among others began the so called IPP journey 30-50 years ago. Ours only began FULLY in the Jonathan administration that paved way for Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, IEDC, BEDC, among others.i

Fashola only needs to ride on the effort of Jonathan viz the IPP capacity. He has no excuse to fail.

The era of NEPA is over. The Denmark version of NEPA was terminated some 50 years ago.

PoliticsRe: Buhari's Big Ministerial Appointment Mistake by Eziachi: 4:14pm On Nov 11, 2015
Lordave:
With the history of poor, erratic and unsteady power supply associated with past governments, even Maitama residents would be anticipating the APC trademark 'Change' to sweep across the ministry of power and somehow or anyhow solve the problem of nonexistent power supply in most parts of the country.
Alas, Buhari, today decided to name former Lagos State governor, Mr Raji Babatunde Fashola as the minister of merged former Ministries of Power, Works and Housing.
From a progressive perspective every sensible Nigerian would agree that this is a very big mistake from our president. The ministry of Work and Housing alone is a deserving ministry for a person of Fashola's calibre and administrative prowess to pilot, likewise Power. Heading the Ministry of Works and Housing in Nigeria is very cumbersome and almost equivalent to the numerous tasks he faced as the Governor of Lagos State were he had commissioners who were accountable to him, let alone Power being added to this workload of a Portfolio.
I'm tempted to ask, did Buhari seek advice and make proper consultation before handing these merged portfolio to Mr Fashola? If he did, what were his findings? Which people supported his merging of these ministries?(they should be named so we can know those who indirectly oppose our progress)
In a nutshell, it was unexpected, unprogressive, nonsensical and most especially, unacceptable merging of this work laden ministries and handing it over to one man considering the immediate change Nigerians are expecting in the power sector. Buhari should separate this ministries and make Mr Fashola a minister to one of them.

It would be inevitable hearing APC faithfuls say, "after all it is merged ministry, and as such presents a herculean task to the government in bringing a reasonable level of change to what we had in the previous administrations who are responsible for the majority of ruins in the ministries.

WE DO NOT WANT EXCUSES!
So you knew the ministers more than the person it took 7 months to appoint them? You must be some god.

you lot just read bit don't comprehend...

You cannot differentiate between having good posts in government and dominating ..

So any ediot can be minister yet you cry foul when buhari decided to chose his own ediots but you are cool with the ediots gej selected ..why?
You have to know how to reason , read and even spelled first before I have time with you on issues.
I told you that am a big fan of Buhari as an individual since 1970s.
That if he chooses all northern team and deliver the goods, only bigots like you will complain. It all in the results.
Nigeria did not start with Buhari, am talking of past leaders whose northern dominated teams of ministers, army, police, navy, air force, permanent secretaries, head of service, parastatals, civil service has only yielded poverty and darkness to Nigeria.
You cannot argue with the result. It as clear as anything.

Your so called Igbo teams over the years has yielded trophies, gold medals and honours expected of them when they were selected.
They have brought cash into the Nigerian economy and not taking money away from it like their contemporaries in governmental sector.
Result!!

Infact, he did it based on merit.. But now buhari is a bigot and a terrorist for giving post on merits to those that voted him massively..
By percentage how many northerners are in that Kano pillars? How many of their coaches are northerners? How many African trophies has Kano pillars brought to Nigeria?
How much money is northerners bringing into the Nigeria GDP through their professional football careers abroad?
Result is the issue.

In football, if you are good everyone can see it and judged by the results you produced. Any idiot can be a minister or head of parastatal in Nigeria and you can measure that through what they achieved. Your argument is melancholic and full of senseless reasoning.
How did South East dominated GEJ government in reality if not just a mere fantasy of some stupid Igbo people?
In reality, as long as appointment is concerned, there is nothing special about Ndigbo during Jonathan wasted six years. It is only in the mind of idiots, not backup with any reality.
PoliticsRe: Marginalization Of Hausa/northerners Must Stop In Nigerian Football (picture). by Eziachi:
Op, the difference is result.
Your so called Igbo teams win things and bring something into the country rather than taking something away from Nigeria. They bring pride and joy to Nigeria rather than shame and damnations.
I will bet you that if Buhari whom I liked personally selected an all northern team and achieved a 24 hrs power, security, jobs, social security, the best infrastructure in the world etc only the most diehard tribalist will complain, just like you are complaining now in the midst of resounding success of the Igbo dominated team.
On the other hand, the dominance of the North and the West in Nigeria politics since 1970 has only yielded poverty, insecurity, archaic infrastructures, death, division, health tourism, lootting and money laundry.
Again, the difference is result.

Physically prowess, genetically studier? What is it, WWE wrestling? It's football.Have you seen Lionel Messi or Peter Crouch? How prowess and sturdier are both players?
In every discipline in life, some are better than others. It's natural. Look at the Brazilians and the Germans, they are like football factory line.
All tribes in Nigeria has football talents but Igbo has a slight advantage, helped by their never die attitude to succeed. Because football is like the acting world. You needed a very thick skin and long term endurance to make it because there are so many disappointments along the way.

Is this how the APC led government intends on ousting Fayose.... ? Well I do not support irregularities, but the Apc should thread this their lane of arrogance and intolerance for the opposition with a bit of caution. Buhari and co. should take it easy. The Nigerian democracy is at stake and they(basstrad authocrats from hell) don't seem to give a damn even if their actions might just plunge the country into more violence, like what is happening in taraba already. Apc should know that because they are the majority today, does not translate into owners of the country. There are parts of the country that voted against them( the apc), and the choices of this persons should be tolerated and respected.
I thought this was the army investigating the conduct of it's men and if found guilty could face a possible court marshall.
What has this got to do with APC or Fayose in that light?
If I remembered correctly, Fayose claimed that he was not in any meeting with anyone at all. So he got nothing to worry about since he was not there
Tell me why you are worrying more than the person that had already claimed absent from the scene of a possible crime?

Talking about boxing and being huge fan, maybe I should open a thread so I can praise and let people appreciate the warrior exploit of my Yoruba friends in the boxing ring.

The next big thing Anthony Femi Joshua is Yoruba.

Lateef Kayode who until last week was undefeated in the heavy weight category is Yoruba. He got his a**e whooped though in Russia by Levedev, the guy who nearly killed one of my all time favourite boxers.Roy Jones Junior.

Then you have Olarewaju Durodola aka Gods power. I watched his fight against South African Mchunu who was much shorter and lost....but he went to Russia against all odds...Knocked out previously unbeaten cruiser weight champion Dmitry Kudryashov in round two and one of my favourites of boxers Ola Afolabi also knocked out Rakhim Chakhkiev in round five.

Ola Afolabi by the way never had an amateur career unlike Lateef and Durodola who represented Nigeria in the past.

Not forgetting Segun Ajose who is doing well, I think he won gold in one all African games before moving to the UK.

Henry Akinwande...

There's another Naija/polish guy kicking azzes at the moment. He had an ufc/MMA career before going into boxing...his name...Izuagbe Ugonoh...I think his parents might be from Niger delta.

SportsRe: The Dominance Of The Igbo Tribe In Nigeria Football - Aderonke Bello by Eziachi:
Apart from Igbo man belief that if A or B can do it, you can do it as well, that was drummed into us from childhood., the only reason I can deduced to be the main reasons for dominant in sports was the Igbo man's after war experience with the Enugu Rangers and that sowed the foundation you are seeing today.

Rangers was the rallying point of Igbos to get something over Nigerians after war through one's own ability alone.

Rangers became our national team and despite the very poor officiating they Rangers usually receive then in the hands of Nigerian referees, they were still very successful team.
After the war, no matter what your qualifications are as an Igbo man, you are still at the mercy of the Yorubas and northerners to get anything and you have more chances of going to the moon than getting a job then. You either relocate abroad or start trading and then sports as your options.
But with sports, you are less at the mercy of anybody but your own ability.
Nigeria applied those backwards principles of suppressing talents for years and that cost them world cup appearances and AFCON for many years until Westerhoff arrived and called the bluff of the Nigeria football authorities insistence on federal character.

It's on record that the friction between Igbos and Yoruba that dominated the national team then cost them, especially the 1978/82 world cups qualifications.

Without Westerhoff, thing might still could be as it were in the past. Example: During the 1980 nations cup, the best goalkeeper in Africa then and runners up to Lahda Benlloumi as African best player of the year Emmanuel Okala was kept on the bench while Best Ogedegbe manned the post for the Eagles simply because of the federal character, to the surprise of many football fans who were asking why Okala is on the bench? Is he injured?
Modern footballers do not need Nigerian political intrigue or federal characters to succeed today. There is money to be made football that requires shere hardwork and parental financial support before you can make it that discipline and Ndigbo has those factors in abundance.
That's is the only reason Igbos dominate sports, especially football in Nigeria.
