ASL33:Like you said you made a mistake, anyone can make one, me included. It is your choice to believe anything you wished to believe, I have more important things to worry about. I have posted over 5 thousand stuff here and since you had been following me from day one as it seems, it will be nice to dig out your aforementioned contradictory opinions of mine. I don't want anything to do with anyone outside this forum, that is me. Many folks here has respected that but you seem to think differently. Unfortunately that is my choice. Am really sorry if you decided to read some conspiracy theory into it. It will be nice if with stick to the issue even if you disagree with all my opinions, but just leave me alone. ![]() |
Krisddon:Of course not. It's not about GEJ irrespective of what they sell to people that it was about him. Politics in Nigeria is not about personality, it's wholly about various interests to protect. |
sage2:I saw an SDP rally in Ogun and Edo with Falae and both were as impressive as the big two's rallies. Will SDP win anything on the day in both state? I doubt it very much. The sort of campaign Osibanjo did in Benin in a town Hall meeting format, late in an evening where people were free to ask unscripted questions, to me will be more effective in convincing an undecided, if there is such a thing. |
ASL33:There you go then. London does not mean UK. Kent is one of the biggest counties in England and stretched to almost the English channel with France. How living in Kent give away my town in Biafraland, I don't have a clue. I know you want to know but it aren't going to happen. Always remember to treat an internet forums for what it is. |
ASL33:I had never told anyone including you where I come from in Orlu, unless you dreamt it. The last time someone asked me if am from Eziachi, I said am not, but I used it because my best friend at Bishop Shanahan College in 60s came from Eziachi, we both enrolled into the Biafra army the same day, fought in the same unit in Ogoja, where he lost his life. That where the name came from. So I don't know where you got your ideas from. ![]() I had a weekend flat in London and don't live in London for the past 25 years. I had never either tell you my family name or anything close to it and you will never know because Nairaland to me is a forum. That's it. So I don't know where you got your ideas from. |
ozeonline1:Exactly. The PDP rally in Uyo this morning had most people with numbers printed on their T shirts, that tells you all you need to know about campaign crowd. When you arrive, make sure you number is identified and marked that you did come or ..... |
Collynzo9:Go and check my comments on the day APC was in Port Harcourt and Owerri in particular, you may have noticed that I have no time to support any Nigeria politician or party. What I don't like is when they tell a blatant lies, I have to respond irrespective of the party but unfortunately PDP and clueless Jonathan had been running childish campaign, hence I tend to hammer them more than APC. All my family are almost in PDP including a two time governor, a former Senator and a current Assembly member. It's not about party for me, unlike some of you. I say my mind because I got nothing at stake or anything to lose. |
ASL33:Now you have. Maybe you had been selective on what you want to see in the past, that why you never seen me ask such in the past. I had the time to reply you now because am retired, so got all the time in the world on my hand. What is your excuse? It's 1.30pm. |
@Louislewis. Pls can you stop spamming every thread with this same long cut and paste. Am sure you must at least has something to say by yourself. |
Collynzo9:Ask your self this, if all these massive crowd that all of you sort out and glorify has jobs, do you think that they will be at a campaign rally at 11am in the morning? If Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolly turn up today in your neighbourhood, will go and watch them or not irrespective of whether you are a fan of their acting or their person? especially when you have every time in the world because you are unemployed? These politicians are the celebrities in Nigeria peculiar way. Many people apart from those in uniform clothings who are paid to be there only came to see the people they normally see on TV, their tormentors. Some will go home full of envy of the lifestyle of those they saw and become ever more determined to vote against them or remain at home on the election day. Crowd at a campaign in Nigeria is down to high rate of unemployment, nothing to do, a free show, possibly something to eat or drink and some cases free T shirts, Wrapper and money may materialize. |
Alphaoscar:Sorry bro, you are most likely to appreciate it if you find the answer by your little effort, that's why I left it blank deliberately. |
Go and ask anyone. The biggest crowd ever seen or recorded in the history of Nigeria political campaign trail was Zik's Changee '83 campaign in Kano with Abubakar Rimi and Balarabe Musa. But Guess how much vote Zik got on the election day in Kano? |
tochukwuifeduba:How old are you? Just curious. |
It like every morning you conjure up some mad theory. Yesterday it was, Jonathan is a patriot because his sister died in a Nigeria hospital instead of overseas one. Ozubulu ani akpu must be very proud ![]() |
ROSSIKE:My advice to you is to stop digging, because soon water will come out and engulf you. It must be really hard trying to defend the indefensible. This same army killed Shekau two or three times and he is still alive. They signed a ceasefire with Boko Haram once but we know the truth now. They denied for two weeks that the Chibok kidnapping never happened. They once had rescued the Chibok girls. They run first even before the civilians they are paid to protect. If this was a Nigeria media, your response will be that they had been paid by the opposition. If opposition talk, they are branded as the sponsors of Boko Haram, if fellow Africans talk, we told them how we fought the apartheid, when foreign media talk, they are imperialist. It really hard trying to defend the ineptness of this government. This report and the amnesty international report yesterday was the reason Mr Excuses Jonathan rushed to Borno yesterday. But he can fool some political biased Nigerians but not everyone. |
keyremotes:Maybe losing 14 local government areas to Boko Haram, thousands of civilian lives and destruction of towns after town each week doesn't count as success in their book. |
kaecy5:You have been watching the wrong CNN then. Have you heard about Private Jessica Leach story in Iraq? Maybe you are not as an adult you think that you are. |
Wait until they brand the CNN as sponsors of Boko Haram, that's their usual and predictable form of defence. |
ILIDEFI:If you the meaning of commander in chief of the armed forces, you will deconstruct your questions. I cannot let him be. He chose to be president, he isn't annoited. If it's too difficult for him he should resign and no one will even notice that he existed. Leadership is not a paw paw eating trip. If you cannot stand the heat get out of the kitchen. |
vigasimple:So no armed forces remembrance day for the past three years? |
Jonathan is a reactionary leader, he does not act, rather he react mostly to events he supposed to act upon but rather terribly. Am sure this visit was down to his condolence message to the French which he had been ridiculed the world over when he chose to sayvnothing about thousands killed on his own domain in Baga. Coupled with the suicidal war of words his government decided to embarked upon this week with the Amnesty International over the casualty figures in Bags when Amnesty internationalit came back today with the satellite imagery to prove their point. They panicked and jump unto the plane to Borno. |
I had been begging him for three years to visit because I know that it doesn't look good especially when election was around the corner. There were uncountable excuses, notably its too dangerous for him, he can delegate his ministers. After 13,000 lives had been lost, thousands made refugees, hundreds of soldiers killed, thousands maimed, 14 local government lost. You decided just 3 weeks to the election to visit? Honestly I would love to meet those that advise this guy. Visiting in this late hour is even worse than not visiting. Flip flopping it is. It's like ambulances deciding to respond to the emergency call after the victim had died for three years and had been buried since and eaten by termites. Fire department arriving three years after the fire. What exactly will they be telling the caller? Sorry it took us this long, but we are here now. Would you embrace him or tell him to pi.ss off? |
Deltagiant:Boko Haram is not an army but a band of rag tagged criminals. Biafra was a sovereign state of an organised uniformed army with proper command and control structure, with a head of state- a real and practical Commander in Chief. Not theoretical Command in Chief. Don't insult us Biafrans. |
Disclaimer:Whenever I heard this line of argument, I don't know whether to cry or laugh. Al Qaeda are not occupying half of Texas or Illinois and mounting their flags or chasing US citizens into Mexico and Canada as refugees. American travelled thousands of miles passing many countries into Afghanistan to hunt down those that attached their country. They heard where Bin Laden was in far away Pakistan and went in and got him. Boko Haram has carved out a territory inside a sovereign nation that is not at war with a recognized army but a band of armed criminal. So Boko Haram is better equipped than the Nigeria army, that's why they gaining ground and territory? Is that the argument? No one is saying that it will be easy but doing nothing or very little is not an option. That's why he ran for office to command all the armed forces in order to protect, safeguards life and properties of your citizens. If he thinks it is too hard, he should resign. There are millions of others who are willing and able to take their chances and try other ideas. Now they want a war of words with the amnesty international, a war that will only have one possible outcome. |
Having spent three years saying that it too dangerous for him? Ignored the Chibok community for how long? Ignored visiting the troops he pretend to command? Happy to share his domain with Boko Haram? Suddenly quest for vote has swept him off his feet and took away the fear? This is what an English man will describe as. " Bolting the door after the horse has bolted". |
publisher:Go to INEC website |
hifaif:Don't mind those who seems to see everything or every issue from the prisms of politics. |
confie:Obviously, army is doing a good job, when they are on the run most of the time. |
Lildreezy:Really, he was on top of it? The same am on top of it guy told us last time that he has signed a ceasefire with Boko Haram. Wasn't he? If you were the one whose village has been ransacked and scattered, many killed, you won't be tolerating some idi.ot telling you he is on top of his when his men is on the run, faster than the civilians. If he is on top of it, where did he find the time for Twitter war of words? |
MrPresident1:God, the hiding place of all Nigeria incompetence. |
fleet7:If they don't get to Aso Rocks, how do you expect them to implement their ideas for change you mentioned? Election is like a cup final, Aso Rocks is the trophy. What is the point of playing a cup final if you are to forget the importance of getting the trophy? What's the point of that? |
Op, you left out that he was diagnosed with been still a VIRGIN. I bet this is the issue related campaign that Olisa Metuh promised us- the size of Buhari prostrate! Great. |

...there is no cause for alarm, this same crowd will stii be there when APC train arives..nor be money them de collect there?
