Cletus Ilomunya is not a traditional ruler. He was deposed few years ago by the Okorocha's government for his alleged direct involvement in partisan politics and his Obinugwu community in Orlu not Owerri has since appointed another traditional ruler. How can he have a palace in Owerri when he is from Orlu? Can Oni of Ife have a palace in Ijebuland? |
I still remember holidaying back home in the 80s, just few months before the presidential election and there was a news flash during the NTA network news, announcing the death of Dr Azikiwe. To the shock of every one. Before the end of the news bulletin, all sorts of condolence messages were pouring in mainly from the NPN hierarchy. Within minutes, they were setting up burial committees of all sorts and euloging him. In fact K.O Mbadiwe made himself the chairman of the committee and start issuing press statements within minutes through this same medium because they own the NTA. But non of them even bothered to contact Zik's family, the Onitsha Monarch household who should announce the death of an Owelle or the governments of Imo, Anambra or Plateau controlled by his party NPP. Unlike today were no one controlled the media as much, it took whole of the next day for the world to realize that Zik was alive and kicking and was also privileged to hear his own obituary read as he was watching the news that evening like every other person. The next day while addressing a world press conference in Enugu, Zik claimed that he knew the elements within the NPN behind his fake supposed death. The calls for an inquiry to find out who was behind it was rebuffed by the Shagari/Ekwueme's government Most people were pointing fingers then at Mark Okoye, Chuba Okadigbo and Uba Ahmed as those behind it. An angry looking Zik then said that all those wishing him death will hopefully rip whatever they were wishing him. Every time I looked at PDP they reminds me the old NPN. How can any human being with conscience wished cancer on anyone even to your worst enemy just because of politics? And these people and their herd of supporters will tomorrow go to their damned churches or mosques on Friday praying to some gods with the same wicked lips. |
Lol. What is this certificate obsession? From school certificate to now want to see medical certificate. What next, his marriage certificate or his DNA record certificate to ascertain if he was the son of his father? Pathetic. |
HumbledbYGrace:Most of them are from Brazil and Portugal |
How many of these Equatorial Guinean players actually come from Equatorial Guinea? |
Alcatraz001:What sort of weapons would that be? One bullet Awka hunting gun or surface to air missiles? Any modern weaponry you see, do you know how many years of research and billions of dollars investment that went into it? Nigeria army cannot even service their own aircraft. It good to aspire high but you don't aspire to make yourself look like a fool. What he said is like me aspiring to play for Barcelona or Real Madrid. How can anyone take me serious? |
BlackTechnology:I wonder why your so called traditional allies abandoned you? Maybe they are secretly APC members or they want to make Nigeria (sorry! NE) ungovernable for you. My guy, if I can develop a fighter jet, I will gladly do and sell it to the government to mass produce it using Innoson facilityInnoson facilities for weapons? Good gracious!!! ![]() |
prettyjennifer:What is this sudden obsession with women, when his VP is a man and his party has, not a single lady candidate for governor? Is he planning a Grace Mugabe for Nigeria? |
This man, who talks like a person on white powder. His police force cannot even boast of a forensic science department, now he wants youths that studied zoology like him to wake up and start making arm. Where is the Nigeria armed forces research centre, if there are any? |
I hope he will commission the Onitsha second Niger Bridge and Onitsha container port? |
nzeadachie:We wait and see. After all you elected T.A Orji twice. |
Anyone called Nollywood? |
moderatorr1:How many Belgians are talking about Baga? In your own words Belgium captured terrorist preparing to strike but in Nigeria it's the terrorists that does the capturing and mounting their flag. Are sure you really want to talk about Belgium and France? Because talking about how decisive they had been this week doesn't do fumbling Jonathan any favours because when Boko Haram started he called them his siblings. |
Mavrick2012:Just like Jonathan consoling the French people about the death of 12 people but kept mute about thousands in his own country. Why bothered with Charlie Hebdo when you are saddled with Baga, Potiskum, Biu and Chibok? And it's growing by the day. By the way, you made a mistake. It's double standard and not double standing. |
eejo:What is wrong with cry me a river in grammar not grammer, Mr correctionist. |
diluminati:Thank God you are in Ghana? This God must have hate those in Gombe? |
naijaking1:So what is so spectacular in this picture that is more than every other teenage girl does every weekend? |
I wonder what they will be telling the electorate on their campaign trail? I have just stagnated Abia for 8 years. Now as a reward, vote me for the Senate and vote my son for the house of assembly, so that we continue to scr.ew you. |
MuguliciousMUGU:There is a huge difference between the two buildings unless your contact lenses was smothered with butter. |
Wahala90:If Shagari wasn't overthrow, Nigeria would have been bankrupted and a life time prisoner to IMF, World Bank, Paris Club etc. |
Macelliot: How old is some of you? It's must be a paid ad. If you pay them for your backside to be there, trust me, they will publish it. |
Ahead of Jonathan’s campaign rally in Abia State Friday, son of the state governor, Mr. Chinedum Orji, Tuesday flagged off his campaign for President Jonathan, Governor Orji and himself in Umuahia. Orji Jr who is a PDP candidate for Umuahia East for the state House of Assembly, said he would adopt mothers in his state constituency as his vehicle for campaign alongside the youths. Following what he had done for the people in the past he said, his constituents had urged him to go. It's called the family affair and these are the people that you curse for, argue for or even ready to die for. |
The season of pastors. I don't think they have ever had it so good . Some time I pity this god. How he seems to have anoint everyone of the candidates, he send everyone messages through our readily available pastors. |
melvin0004:The same group of people at APC , APGA, SDP rallies. These people knew this is the only time they get to see these politicians and lots of money exchanging hands, so it's get whatever you can from them noi irrespective of party before they disappeared from the scene again. I was watching the PDP rally in Akwa Ibom and the announcer was asking the women to wait for the distribution of the food. |
He is entitled to his personal opinion. You cannot blame for whatever the utterances of some sycophants who want to be relevant irrespective of how they achieve it. |
keteketenews:You got to love Nigeria politics. Where very important issues matters. Well GEJ girls looked well turned out. But Oga himself and his son looked like a magician and his little cute sidekick. Buhari's family looks like contraception aren't their thing. Imagine if Jonathan needed 11 jet for his smaller family, how much Buhari family would need? |
jteku:£150k in four years? What sort of education is she receiving? Does she eat gold for breakfast? Where the heck is London high street? ![]() The maximum charged tuition by law is £9k annually and that is for premium courses like medical science. When people write this kind of stuff, who do they believe it's for? Some juvenile? |
olrotimi:Very balanced report in my opinion. Even an unborn child knew that Jonathan will win handsomely in the SE and SS. But opposition hope or strategy is, if they can stop the 98% turn out of last time, because that was where the election was rigged and lost. They will hope that the likes of Amaechi, Rochas can stop that even by 20% that will make a huge difference, not because they hoped in hell to win. If Buhari get 15% from both zones rerespectively I think that they will count it as a huge success when compared to 2011. The same with Jonathan in the north, if they can reduce the opposition lead significantly but takes reasonable amount of vote, that's a success especially in Jigawa, Sokoto, Niger, Yobe and Kaduna. The crisis in the NE is to their advantage. |
If all these people are really smart and in reality likes and supports the candidacy of Jonathan, they should shut up about this religious fundamentalism nonsense. It won't work and it aren't working. It is rather costing their flagbearer so many votes, if they had not noticed. You are calling someone a religious fundamentalist but you are the only one campaigning on religion.? How do you think Moslems inside PDP feels when they heard people bad mouthing their religion, knowing how highly sensitive they are with their faith. Jonathan should tell them to be quiet. |
ASL33:Good luck with that, I have moved on. |
author=TheAdvocate post=29848302So pls tell us the number of attendance at Zik's rally in 1983 and the one in Kano today. I dey wait. The estimate then by the media was over a million people in 1983. I don't know about today. |
