Yea it was meant for the devil, but the all knowing God didn't think it is wise to just put the devil there from the very beginning to avoid him dragging we humans with him? And why don't he just forgive Adam, Eve and the devil instead of "dieing" for us...What difference does his death makes, the devil is still dragging more people to hell with him .
