Hmm, bros if I tell u Wetin my eyes see in the process of rooting that phone. It is so complicated unlocking the bootloader. Then I downloaded custom ROM from XDA (the stock version, I don't like aosp Roms). In the process of flashing I mistakingly wiped everything including the original ROM itself. So I was left with a phone without any OS, also wiped the ROM I downloaded (and this phone has no external SD card). Phone was bricked, stuck at HTC logo. I spent about 12 hours browsing Google and watching YouTube videos before I could bring it back to life. But in the end I did it.

Hahahaaaaaa.... I can see you went through a lotta stress tryna root it. Good thing is you finally did it. Waiting patiently for the lollipop update has been really annoying, buh what can I do. I just have to wait noni.

I used my m7 for one year without rooting it, I mean I had no reason to, everything just works and there's no single lag memory management is the best I've ever seen (even better than my LG g3 with 3gb of ram). I wanted to upgrade to m8 but saw no reason, the m8 is just too big and not worth it IMHO. I already had an LG g3 with 5.5 inches screen and it looks smaller and lighter than the m8 with 5.0 inches (m8 got too much bezel). I only recently rooted my m7 in order to get lollipop on it.

The HTC one m7 is just the perfect size and I wish OEMS will make more flagship phones with 4.7-4.8 inches .

Ooooohhhh....... Just as I thought, you rooted your m7 also. Didn't do mine coz I've bricked quite a few phones already. I just have to be patient for the m7's official lollipop release.

If u have not upgraded yet, then what are u waiting for? Lollipop is sweet and I guarantee u won't want to go back to KitKat. I been using it on my LG g3 since November no issues. Upgraded my HTC one m7 about 2 weeks ago and my phone looks like a new phone. The HTC one m7 on KitKat was flawless, smooth with no single lag, but lollipop adds lots of improvement with improved battery life and other features. Don't be on a long thing, upgrade ASAP.

I also use a HTC one m7 and I've not gotten the lollipop 5.0 update. HTC says they've been having minor issues with the update buh we'll get it soon. So I wanna know, how did u get yours?

Frankly, my battery doesn't last as long as my friends S4(I'm a heavy user - games, videos, surfing and all), and the camera is really awesome.
The phone has never hanged since I bought it I can run any heavy game comfortably.
What else do u need to know?

well am kinda short of words though because my last phone was a bold 6 and the camera was okay, and i would really love a smart phone with good camera quality...its highly needed............which are u using if i may ask?? the truth is every smart phone must have its defects though

I'm using the HTC one m7.it was released last year.
And it's true, no phone is perfect.

so why did the OP talk like the camera is extremely BAD ? because 5/10 is damn too low for a phone worth over 99k mehn....comparing the camera to a blackberry z10 and the rest or samsung galaxy 4, which in your opinion do you think is better??

Maybe he didn't try it out in all types of conditions. And you also know different people have their different opinions.
My friend who uses an s4 was even saying he wished he had my HTC one m7.
The m8's camera might not be the best camera out there buh I still rank it as one of the top smartphones with a really good camera.

Obviously you've never laid hands on the HTC m8. Believe me,the BoomSound is amazing. You can watch a movie in packed football stadium and still hear your movie clearly.

@OP, the primary camera is not the best but it's better than you portrayed it. Yes it's only 4mp but remember,it makes use of ultrapixel. Have you ever tried taking a picture in a low light situation,say in the evening? That's when you will appreciate the ultrapixels. You also played down the duo effect. Let me give you a suggestion,take a horizontal panaroma picture and then apply the duo effect. Tell me what you see. The longer you spend with the camera,the more you'll come to appreciate it.

All in all,the HTC m8 is the best phone I've owned,and I've owned a fair number of good phones. The phone is simply amazing.

Man, thanks for the detailed answer you gave. Don't understand why they're saying HTC one m8 is a wacky phone.

I also use an m7 and most of my friends always wanna take pics on my phone. Tbh, the m8's camera quality is really good. Tried out my cousins m8 and I was amazed at how great the phone was.

@smallpenis abeg bring the updates fast. Something tells me the roma vs Chelsea match is gonna be really really hot.
