membranus:Is Lagos a State or a region? Lagos beats all States in Nigeria. But Lagos is a local champion, cannot compete with World class cities like Cairo or even Cape Town. Name one Smart city in the World without 24/7 power supply if not Lagos,. The drainage system is very poor. Even with Lagos...the South West lags behind among the 3 Southern regions. In the South South all the states have functional international standard airports, name any other region that can boast of such in Nigeria. South South got standard FIFA/CAF/IOC certified stadia. Name other region with such achievement. There are ports in Warri, PH, Calabar, Ibom. Most of their youths are hard working and can boast of renowned Sports men and women, music legends Nigeria ever produced. The problem of the South South is they lag behind in human development. And also the North keep marginalizing and punishing them because of their strong ties with the Igbos. That's why they keep denying that they are related with the Igbos. But the truth is that without the Igbos, the South South would have become history. The North Would have overun them. You cannot conquer the South South mainland without defeating the Igbos at the center. Unless you go through the sea. Ok... All you need in this life is one true loyal friend whom you can be rest assured that even when a gun is pulled on their heads... They can still hold down all you told them.
