PoliticsRe: Southern Cameroun Joins IPOB In Biafra Struggle by fabselad(m): 11:53am On Apr 18, 2017
ITbomb:
It is obvious

Southern Cameroun is presently under Internet blackdown by the repressive Central French speaking government.

Mind you, the S. Cameroun was a part of present day Biafra region before the took off to join the French speaking side after they had an early independent.

Southern Cameroun is under serious marginalization because they speak English and are considered not being part of the struggle for independence.

The best choice is for them to align with IPOB and move the struggle together on international platform.
But IPOB should be careful cos taking in S. Cameroun means making a new powerful enemy - France.
Stop speaking nonsense. are you in cameroonian. I am an Anglophone and we are not been marginalized.yes there is an internet blackout but stop spreading false information. Ask before speaking idiot

nigerians always trying to pull the blanket on their side.being first on this or that.you guys sang about the JF-17 for years and years but yet we have not even seen a wing of the aircraft.
Henry240:
My question is because, I think Blessing Liman from the Nigerian Air Force might be the first African female C-130 pilot.

Airborne360, a bit of clarification required. Does Blessing liman fly the C-130 or DO-228 in NAF service?

Since I have waiting for those famous JF-17 but yet nothing. Nigerians always crying wolf years before it arrives
Henry240:
No Sir, they are not. The Alpha Jet is the Primary trainer of the Nigerian Air Force, they perform a secondary light attack role. the F-7 is Nigeria's primary multi-role aircraft, that is, until the JF-17 replaces/compliments them in that role.

Foreign AffairsRe: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by fabselad(m):
Nigerians and south Africans again on the quarrel. Lets post pictures and not words. Each military has his or her own draw backs. Lets take a look at both armed forces.
First the SAAF vs the NAF; The SAAF is potent enough to wipe out any treat posed by the Nigerian air force, the Nigerian air force does not have any SAM system which can pose a treat to the SAAF,the capacity of the SAAF to transports its troops is amazing when you put in place all the transport aircraft and helicopters owned by the SAAF. Lastly the trained and seasoned engineers which the SAAF has as compared to the Nigerians but where the NAF comes in is the lessons learnt from the war with BOKO HARAM which has provided its air force with good training and much needed know how in Counter insurgency operations which I guess the SAAF lacks.
Secondly the Land forces of both countries, The south Africans are well equipped with State of the art equipment and proper training but compared to the Nigerians, who have been in battle for the past years.This has given their land forces seasoned training and know how which the South Africans lack and this can be a game changer in battle because the Nigerians are now far more prepared in land than any military in the region.
Thirdly the south African navy VS the Nigerian Navy, sincerely am trying to be objective as much as possible but the South African Navy beats the Nigerian Navy Hands down in any Naval Battle. Their Valour Class Frigates and Herione Class of submarines are far ahead of what the Nigerian navy has in its arsenals. The South Africans can impose a complete naval blockade on the Nigerians if need be due to their ability to project its naval forces to the detriment of the Nigerians who lack any reliable coastal defense ability in terms of missiles and radar. The Nigerian possess some anti submarine abilities with the presence of their ATR 42 Maritime patrol aircraft but this is offset with the Valour class Frigates anti-aircraft abilities like the Umkhonto-IR Block 2 missiles for aerial denial.
Lastly a very important point which is not to be neglected is the fact that the South Africans can rely on national production for their military equipment's from companies such as Denel and others. This Factor is important because in a conflict Nigeria would have to depend on imports which can be cut of due to some reasons or the other.
I have tired to be as objective as possible. am not a Nigerian nor a south African so guys lets just forget about this and post pictures smiley smiley smiley smiley wink wink wink wink

frumentius:
They no longer operate the An-72. On paper, they have 7 X An-74; 3 are operational. Plus 2 X C-212. And that's the totality of their medium lift.

Light lift:
1) 10 X An-12, of which 2 are operational;
2) 1 AN-26;
3) 7 X An-32, of which 3 are operational;

Heavy Lift:
9 X Il-76, of which 3 are operational. 3 are completely unserviceable, 2 have been cannibalised and they are considering having the remaining 1 overhauled.

When the war ended, maintenance fell away all across the Angolan military, even though the defence budget kept rising. An opaque defence procurement process, deliberately so designed to facilitate corruption.
just as the defense budget of Nigeria. the y spend 2 billion $ in defense but we see the bokohama is still a security treat while countries with smaller defense budgets have rationalized theirs for proper and transparent use.

I knew from your first comment that you were going to resurrect the insults you Cameroonians spit out to the Nigerian military on your blogs and media. We admit we made mistakes but don't ever think for a second that your BIR has the capacity to take on our regular army. But for the Hague, you'll be begging Nigeria for Bakassi till date. You have no grounds whatsoever to think you can equate a few BIR soldiers to the Nigerian military, not your army, not your air force, not your navy. Everyone has been a bit restrained and mature on this blog and I'll advise you do the same.
Before getting into this comments i have gone through every word about what nigerians say about our country and military.anyow its pass.sorry if my comments where inflammatory.we all fight the ame foes

You should at-least hide your ignorance and gross stupidity by simply keeping mute.

COIN refers to Counter-Insurgency.

Nigeria COIN = Nigeria Counter-Insurgency.
