This is my final take and understand there are somethings I have left out due to classified reasons.
As we Speak there are female Soldiers in infantry. They are not there to do their makeup.
During the first War at Baga. There were female NA casualties. This too me is the strongest reasons for the CONTINUED recruiting of female Soldiers.
A Female NA who was killed in the NE was 25 years old.
She didn't ask for any favors.
Instead when asked , She said if I die , I die.
The other myth. She was educated to the degree level so she wasn't job hunting.
As for SFs let me address this once and for all.
They are needed.
The enemy has employed countless numbers of females not just to act as bomb couriers but to do other dastardly deeds.
Nigeria is behind in this war in recruiting females in this war for SFs Ops
In the Civil War they were ahead.
They literally have catching up to do.
For my point of view I dont see the need for female members in SF. Just take a look at the cameroonian BIR and the NAF Panthers and the sort of training they go through. Do you think a lady can keep up with such physical requirments. I can accept that for certain roles which needs female presence, female staffs can be taken from NA female corps unit to fill in the need. I am not a backward but lets be sincere SF is a men's job .

You forgot to mention Guinea Bissau and other ad hoc military staff & advisers scattered around the world.

Plus we are literally footing the bill of the MNJTF with HQ in Ndjamena, Chad and clandestine funding by the NIA of the intelligence agencies of most countries in the Sahel and Central Africa or whatever there is of it to track down ISWAP Jihadists headed to the NE.

We must not forget Idris Deby Itno is to all intents and purposes paid hard currency by Abuja to continue to play ball.

And yes no one country has comprehensively defeated terrorists today as we know them. The problem with the war in the North-East remains the brain thrust of the war from the C-in-C down to the planners at DHQ.
If I may ask were do you get this infor from sincerely

And it bothers you if I am.keep ur negative mindset to yourself i beg. I have never and would never be happy about the lost of lives. What funnies me is that fact that people like you turn to think if it happens to others therefore why not Nigeria.

The US is a standard every where and it's a yard stick. My take is that it has happened else where, why are you so keen on putting these to our faces. I laughed when I read "... I love seeing a strong NA...", guy, you are very far from the truth because of your prior posts. You seem to be happy if something goes wrong with the NA. It happens elsewhere is not an excuse, all I'm trying to tell you is keep your hypocrisy to yourself. It's not just you, I've noticed that with other people from other nations too.
It is your point of view not others. if u think so weti be my palava for they lol.

I've noticed how most times you always want to use wayo to insult Nigeria. These kind of people behave like friends but laugh behind your back and might even stab you on the back. If the almighty US with billions of dollars in defence funding and a military industrial complex as compared to non could loose FOB's, military equipment and men to the Taliban, then I don't know why you should be "not at the rate of Nigeria military lol". Is your country helping in funding for the equipment?
and you can't compare the looses the US has had with that of the NA.everytime the US has looses, it goes into deep relection and seeks solution to improve.but with the NA it's the complete opposite, they keep epeating the same stupid errors which cost lives of vibrant nigerian youths. those in command are not accountable and they don't learn for past mistakes. and if i may ask you how many FOB have been lost by the US to taliban. not up tp 2 and most were little FOB man by 10 to 30 personel. so stop looking for excuses by saying if it happens to other then why not nigeria. I laugh at your errors because it is repeatitif and it has made the NA to be a JOKE in africa.gone are those days when the NA was a force to reckon with. When there was a crises in Mali in 2012 if am not mistaken, in every news platform, people were looking up to the NA to spearhead the intervention against the islamist but today who speaks of the NA again to intervene in peace keeping operations. As someone said here earlier, the Nigerian Navy and the NAF both suffered looses to iswap and BH but thye have learnt rom their mistakes. But the the NA still keep making the same mistakes all the time. The Nigeiran defence budget is 1 billion dollar, thats more than some european countries but yet troops still complain of the same problems. Why should i not laugh or joke about it when the NA has become the shoping center for iswap due to the strong head nature of the NA top brass.if you are satisfied with the state of the NA sorry it's not my case. I am a Cameroonian and i love seeing a strong NA like in those days because a Strong NA means stability in the region .

You have never made a mistake in your life?
We have lobbied for 5 years on this blog for Nigerian Manufactured MRAPS
Nigerian Manufactured APCs
When do we congratulate our own?
We highlight and harshly criticize the NA which we rightly .
But We can only make fun and in jest wish for BH to seize the equipment.
The US lost equipment and Men to the Taliban
SANDF lost equipment in the DRC.
I know you meant it in jest but let us learn to praise our own.
Nigeria has to start somewhere.
We can't keep buying big foot and reva
Nah wen we go get our own naw?
My Brother not at the rate of the Nigerian military lol.it's like the Iraqi military with isis. the only thing remaining BH or iswap has not seized from NA is helicopter or plane. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

issorite that was how Ghadafi and Saddam felt invisible because they felt they've stocked enough Russian war/missiles today the rest they say is history.
Iran know they can't in anyway withstand America's super firepower, the blockade will be terrible. They want to see if the US will be forced to negotiate with them just like North Korea did.
but unfortunately, the US have being finding excuse to invade and loot their resources ever since they took over the US embassy. Trump with his business man mentality is ever ready to give the green light for an all out strike once he has accessed all parameters (especially the oil).

PS: las las Nigeria will benefit of the US attacks Iran because oil will might hit a whooping $200/barrel

and you think America needs to put boots on ground to take them out. Destroyers will start launching TLAMs at Iranian radar, coastal stations, missile and rocket assets, air fields, oil reserves, government infrastructure and mobile assets.
US military doctrine relies on naval and air power(remember the Ghadafi approach) even China will not want to have a military standoff with US. I think it's only Russia that will stand toe to toe with America. That country is not called the most powerful for nothing, they're insanely powerful. Saudi will happily fund the war in whatever capacity they can but surely they will open all their base for America to operate from. Is it not Iran that Saddam Hussein dealt with?

SupremeCourt:
Thanks, I see your valid point, but we Nigerians know our country. Let me inform you, we pay our military extra-budgetary funds specially for weapons procurement and also we give them free equipment by transfer. Navy gets many gunboats from NIMASA and cash from NNPC, foreign oil companies too pay them. Navy gets big ships frigate size as gift from USA and China gave large boat. Navy got 300 new gunboats free NNPC donation in 2006-2008 to fight Niger Delta militants.

Air force got many free helicopters from NIMASA and NNPC.

Army gets cash and gifts of food and other civilian materials supply from states, local govts. Army also gets cash from CBN extra. Army also gets donation of weapons from USA, UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Holland, etc.

NNPC is our government oil company. CBN is our government bank.

They got so many extra hardware, including advanced radars our army got from Germany, heavy mortars from Britain, anti-IED equipment for mine clearing from EU, medical equipment from EU, MRAPs from USA. Germany also gave army like 3 Gazelle helicopters armed. So many donations of hardware and material supplies they get free.

On top of that we gave them extra $2 billion for new weapons alone in 2014. Then 2015 Buhari released emergency fund $500 million to military for urgent equipment purchase. We gave air force special deposit over $300 million for super tucano.

Now they want another $1 billion for weapons and senate complained that the $2 billion extra cash of 2014 the military has not yet explained how it was spent before asking for another billion dollars.

An army general went on TV to show one tavor rifle as proof of why they need $1 billion for a $2,000 rifle we already bought in thousands years ago and added like 15,000 Beryl rifles on top that we bought already, so why tavor again? He said plus other things, what other things? Senate got no clear detailed list of what army will buy with this billion dollars, so the money is delayed as we hear, I dont know how far.

The army has no strategic plan for modernization or improvement, they just want the cash in billions and in dollars! Now are we mad to keep paying them like we dont have common sense?

I agree with you archer arty can cost millions but we dont need artillery, we have much already, we need good tanks and army has no plan for tanks, they are busy opening vehicle manufacturing plant to export armoured vehicles all over Africa in 2030, which army is into that big complex business in this world?

The $2 billion of 2014, they bought 43 t-72 second hand near expired with jamming gun that breaks down in combat, those tanks value is under $80 million out of two billion, so what of the remaining $1.92 billion?

They should have bought 100 new t-90 for $400 million and we still have surplus change aplenty, and new tanks gun will not jam like old cargo. They bought no bmp ifv as some people say we need ifv here daily saying.

Now in addition to all the above, government normal annual defence budget cashed out to military for capital expenditure average per year $500 million in addition to all the free materials, weapons, and special cash.

So 2000 to 2019, our normal cash budget for only weapons procurement estimates at $10 billion !!!

Please show me weapons Nigerian military bought for $10 billion in 2000 to 2019 Nigeria spent more than half of the $15 billion Algeria spent on weapons only from 2006 to 2019 so we should have more than half of what they have for weapons. Why is the gap in available weapons so wide a margin between Nigeria and Algeria, that is the BODMAS mathematics that we need our military to explain to us with proof. grin grin grin
KUdos for such detailled analysises.seriously i was amazed when i read it. I imagine what we can do in cameroon wih 1 billion as defence budget.chai grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Your country has a Defence Pact with France and of recent just added an American military base in Garoua, Cameroon. The greater the presence of foreign military bases the greater the deteriorating political/social climate. These powers need a congent excuse to justify their presence in their respective hosts.....the result has been an ecosystem of self perpetuating strife and violence. First Mali, then Chad, the Cameroon and the latest GHANA. Oddly enough the beef up of their military footprint in the region coincides with the rejuvenation of ISIS West Africa and sectarian communal strife. We will never know peace until we rid the region of foreign military presence. And trust me, now that they have invested billions of dollars on these facilities they will not leave without a fight.

Putting such large fire power in one spot is why a base get over runned.

I have never had a MRAP or IFV on my unit and I can guarantee you that my boys and I will swoop on a unit that large with my armored hilux. Add GLs and RPG.

I can hear someone asking them not to shoot anyhow. Suppressive fire is needed yes but do it with wisdom. Packing several IFV / MRAP meters away from each other is just like a sitting duck.

Seriously, am a cameroonian and when i listen to such it irritates me.President Biya(whom i don't really have any esteem for) is a masterpiece when it comes to politics.Gone are the days he took instructions from France. The presidential and the BIR which are the shield of the presidency are both trained and equiped by the israeli, the secret services are trained by the Russians and Israeli, the military is trained by Cameroonians trained by the Russians or Israeli. The equipemts used by the Cameroonian military are from diverse sources. 1. Wealth: The muslim brotherhood are no match to a single usa in term of wealth, if u re opportuned to select an ally out of the two, which one will u choose ? Usa right. Israel have an edge

2. Loyalty: who even see saudi as a loyal ally, those guys re back stabbers, i can remember vivdly when that saudi prince invite the Israel leader Netanyahu to riyadh at a time when the conflict between israel and Palestinian state are at all time high and Palestine badly needs every support it can get from the muslim world. Now, tell me which type of politics is saudi trying to play.
I will rather have a loyal Lesotho as a ally than have a saudi as an ally. Israel have an edge

3. Technology: dnt let me go into details in this part. We already knws the outcome. Now imagine having the usa as an ally, this gives u an abundant technology transfer from the world power and As we already knw that technology is a very important factor in deciding who wins wars. So israel have an edge.

On the issue of doctrine, that have been proved on this platform countless times even by Israel itself that training and experience re different things, u can have the best training in the world and still flop on the battlefield. If it is that easy israel wont suffer massive casualty from hamas when he trys invading them back then which makes her result to air strikes.

Sometimes I laugh at what people say in the forum. Why would cameroon wish for nigeria to fall.INstability in Nigeria means instability in the region which won't benefit any country sharing borders with nigeria. It took time for Cameroonian authorities to learn that during the peak of BH by not sitting down, folding their arms and fueling BH with ransom money from kidnapping. We saw waht it means for nigeria and cameroon to walk together and thing more can be done with such collaboration cause both countries have alot to benefit from this. Therefore I don't see why would cameroon benefit with instability in NIgeria .

In summary, with USA support Israel will win while without USA support, Egypt will bring her to its kneel. Israel cant fund that kind of war.
LOL so egypt won't recieve help it's muslim brothers such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and others. BIG LIE.Who provides the funds for Egypt to equip it's self like that, SAUDI ARABIA. Without them Egypt would still be flying F-16s and Mirage-2000s. Yes the US provides funds to Israel but know this with or without Us aid, Israel is still a force to reckon with. You can have sophisticated weaponry but if yoy don't have the know how to use it its as useless as not having it.Why has Egypt not been able to deal with insurgency in the Sinai with all those sophisticated weaponry? When you see the training schemes of the Egyptian military, seriously you have the impression it is a mirror image of the soviet military in the 70s.Heavy, Static, with Officers who can't take initiatives and are not flexible. The Egyptian military still functions with soviet doctorine and know that such doctrine isn't valid in this period. I on't say the Israeli Military is the best but lets be sincere, they have the best Officer corps in the region, well trained and drilled, able to adapt to the battlefield, flexibility and above all battled hardened troops.. One also has to take the other aspects such as forces multipliers like secret gathering. We know the Mossad and the SinBet are the one of the best HUMIT AND SIGNIT organizations in the world and I bet you they have already infiltrated the Egyptian High command and other command and control centers. The Israeli Airforce is second to known in the region and you won't argue that, both in areial warefare and ground support. We saw the what the Egyptian Airforce can do when they attacked Isis in Lybia, they didn't even cause any major damages with their attacks.
Yes war won't be easy to win but lets be sincere Israel would come out Winner though shaken, the Egyptian Military has progressed but they still use doctorines of other generation.Equipments isn't everything in WAREFARE

Egypt is really making Africans proud, 12th out of 137 countries... shocked
Currently Israel ranks 16th in the (G.F.P 2019) military ratings strength? These translate that Egypt is really investing in its modern military modernization. Can Egypt defeat Israel or will it be a stalemate in the eventuality of another Yom Kippur War.... ...... grin shocked huh
My brother it's one thing to have equipments but its another to know how to use it on the battle field. you also have to take into consideration the soldiers fighting or using the pieces of equipment, their officers in command of those equipments. A clear example is Soudi Arabia. The houtis in yemen are giving them hard times and they have to rely on mercenaries and on their airforce.but can't win a war in the air only, you need soldiers on the ground and we have seen what caliber soudi soldiers are made off grin grin grin grin grin. The Israeli army isn't big in question but my brother but their abilities to wage war is outstanding and they keep learning with foes like hamas and hezbollah.Taking into consideration factors such as Intel collection, Outstanding officers corps who are perfectly drilled, Force multipliers such as the airforce who are top notched in every aspect. in case of a war between Israel and Egypt, I won't say Israel would come out as a clear winner as before because it would be hard but israel would win at the end.
