What do u want to gain in Atiku, now that SE has massively voted for their son, but SW on the other hand, fall the hand of their own son. Don't worry, when Igbo's start dictating for u in ur own land. U all will get sense.

Imagine Yakubu, Martins and Kanu hitting double digits. Meanwhile elsewhere Utaka, Nsofor, Makinwa and Osaze were also hitting the back of the net.

And all those players were in the SE team at the same time! Now u understand why I have always opined that not more than 1 or 2 of the current crop of SE will make that 2004-2006/7 Eagles team.
yet we failed to qualify for 2006 world cup.

I still count Osimhen and Awoniyi as part of the U23.

It is now they are ready for the challenge of that age grade.

With Stephen Odey also elligible, potentially we have an exciting U23 team in the waiting.
Yes boss! talent everywhere. I do think Rohr and Nff should be commended on how they have made the National team very attractive. Also, the selection criteria has been raised. You don't play regularly, forget the National team. Boys are now moving to clubs where they will get playing time.
I watched Simon against Celta this past weekend, I must say the guy made a strong claim to a starting shirt at Levante. Anytime, he has the ball he was menacing. The commentators kept calling him the menacing Nigerian International, Naso my head dey swear! Aina has been absolutely impressive for Torino, Collins for paderborn, Semilore too, Awaziem no wan gree, Omeruo new Baresi! Ekong, Balo, Ebehui is getting better, Shehu dey even Akpeyi self is getting rave reviews in Southie.
Mikel Obi something else at Boro, Ndidi dey, Iwobi dey, Etebo best player for Stoke this season, Agu self no wan gree. Let me just stop there cos for attack Dem plenty. I am jealous of Rohr yet I pity him. He has to take only 23 to the Afcon out of all these exceptional talent.

Osimhen didnt score yet he is placed in that team as the main striker ahead of the ones that actually scored. How else does one define class?

Good to see Awoniyi bouncing back. As for Imoh Ezekiel, that one is ruing his missed chances due to poor decision makings, if he had stayed put in Qatar, he would have been part of the Qatari team that won the Asian cup last month.

If he had made a better choice(instead of going to Qatar) when he broke out at Liege, he would probably have been in one of Europe's top clubs just like his then Liege's partner in crime, Batsuayi.

Lol Imoh case tire person
Don't mind that Imoh of a guy. I do believe he has learnt his lessons. The only way for him now is UP!

[quote author=TheGoodJoe post=75837920]Wow. I did not expect Mikel's move to Middlesbrough to work out due to the history of Pulis long ball plays. But it seems it is working out fine for Mikel. I hope this gives him a platform to show what a brilliant talent he is. [/quote)

Oga u said we should watch for Senegal and not Mali. Mali that we out-played were better than Senegal for the most part of the 90mins today. But did Mali that "took to it like a Duck to water" win the game during regulation time? Was that not the same result Nigeria got?

If u refuse to acknowledge that the quality of that pitch affected both teams today more especially Senegal then you are being totally dishonest.

I am not saying we had a Super team. But my points are that team is not as bad as you are painting it. I have already highlighted their areas of strength and weaknesses earlier on. And secondly the ground condition was very poor and this affected virtually all the teams in the tournament.

You attributed Nigeria's penalty misses to poor quality of the players but can u also say same for this Senegalese team which could only convert 2 out of 5 spot kicks?
those guys were clearly the best in that tournament. Oh my days, they took Mali to the cleaners. How unlucky they were. Quite unfortunate!
Ozuruma was the only weak link in that team. They gave their all and left nothing on the pitch!

Whatever the outcome, I enjoyed the match

The pitch is atrocious yet the lads are stringing passes. I like Ikuowem Udoh. I would like to see him play under a coach that develops players (in the league) like Fidelis Ilechukwu, Abdul Maikaba

He could be SE material in the long run
You could see the ref too enjoyed the match. He put up a smile after the final whistle. I do think this coach has done a very good job with what I am seeing on this disgraceful pitch. I will feel very bad if we loose this match cos these boys gave their all. They ran for complete 90 minutes.
They had 63 % ball possession, however, football often play it's trick.

I can authoritatively tell you that APC is hated like a plague in Oyo State and it’s a lost battle. Those you are seeing are paid N1,000.
1. Lautech was on strike for over year.
2. No single Oyo State pensioner got a dime as pension from the Oyo State APC led govt. (Remember Tht governor said why haven’t the all died, why are they living a miserable life)
3. No gratuity paid since inception of the Oyo State apc led govt.
4. The 18,000 minimum wage is still not implemented in Oyo State.
5. Civil servavt are still being owed salaries (over 18 month that I know of)
6. The governor’s daughters wine and dine with Kim Kardashian with the state’s commonwealth
7. The governor talk from all sides of his mouth and doesn’t regard a single soul.
8. IWO road-Akobo-Gate road is an agony to thousands of people living there as the dust is taking toil on people’s health.
9. Colleges owned by Oyo State are all on strike over unpaid salaries (Oyo and Igboora that I know of)
Lie, Lieder, Liedest lolll. All salaries of the state civil servants has been paid up till December. Do you know how many empower volunteers in Ibadan alone? Even though the Oyo State government has not been paying the salary areas to its civil servants, at least all those that needed to be promoted have been .

I do not bite. I would like to know your own opinion, that's shyy we are here.

By the way like I said, if we play the same formation we employed during the qualifiers, then that would mean that even Samuel Kalu will be on the bench, Samuel can come in and change a game. What is the point taking him to the tourney if he will go and sit on the bench instead of going to the U20 and clocking minutes
loll, not like that. I don't want you to see my post as offensive. I am saying, it will be a plus and even amazing to have a player of his quality on the bench. Remember afcon 2014 when babayaro, yak and Agali was sent packing what about injuries. As you know most of our players are prone to injuries. Anything can happen, what if Musa and Iwobi get injured or red carded. Also afcon is very physical and most times Iwobi get lost in matches also onyekuru has not been outstanding for us. Etebo, Agu, Onazi are all injury prone players and Ogu is not good enough. So where are the options, bro

As far as Nigeria is concerned, if you do not want Chukweze on the bench in afcon which player do you want on the bench. He is the only player that change a game from the bench. Who are those players that are better than him currently?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 7:15am On Jan 19, 2019
It is quite surprising that some peeps will advocate for one of our best player in Europe to play under 20 in an afcon year. Chukweze will go to afcon. Chuks and Kalu are the only consistent winger playing week in week out in a top league. So Chuks going to afcon for me is not even up for debate at all!
