Quoran:
Hello Guys. I guess everyone has settled in ? For those still trying to getting admission and funding, don't give up. Those of us who have benefited from here will do our best in helping others too.

By the way,I did change my school to Stanford. Remember the guy I was always mailing at Stanford? He was able to get funding for me as one of his prospective students left for Cambridge in the UK. So I'm super elated and glad. Though I wasted some money processing stuff to go to TAMU, I'm optimistic going to Stanford is worth it.

Congrat my good bro. You are a legend! Thank you for always been there. Scholastic, Ponpon, lagosismyhome, timotee and others. I sight you guys.

Timotee:
I'm assuming you mean your DS-160 form. It's possible to change some information from your old form without any issues; however, there are information that should not be changed. For example, you stated in your first form that you worked from 2014 to 2016 as an accountant at Price Water Cooper and then in the new form, you state that you worked as an accountant for the same period at KPMG. That kind of change can't be made. However, changes like your sponsor, address, travel plans can be changed.

thank you bro

Dennis Bonaventure scores for Belgian champions, 3minutes into the match against Anderletch. 16 minutes gone

I so much like this guy, I remembered there was a time the Genius (Pep) was looking at his direction only for injury to do him strong thing. As per Ejaria, I thought he opted for the under 20 world cup for England instead of waiting on us as he has never represented England b4 that thus making things a bit complicated. Following naija is different from representing naija

elyte89:
Hahahah chief,buhari no sabi me o ,

haaa, I don hope say u go share the loot with me. Loll. Abeg make we leave those guys talk soccer. One love bro.

elyte89:
Am not disputing dt fact with u.definitely,he can't get all d north west votes, but if we count d n/west,vote alone, buhari defeated PDP,even when d later rigged.he still won.

even with d north central votes u said, buhari got 30percent of d votes dere,if we were to count d north votes only, buhari would av been president since 2007...I think u noe get my point now,PDP has only defeated buhari with S/S,S/E,S/W, votes,CPC VOTES IN 2011 was an eye opener for d likes of Tinubu and other ACN members,dt if a man with no political clout in S/S,S/W,S/E under CPC could garnered "GENUINE 12MILLIONVOTES" ALONE den d power can b wrestled from PDP,dt an alliance can b formed, come together to defeat PDP who boasted dey would rule Nigeria for 60years and today
D alliance paid off.dey joined forces, dey matched PDP with Money,d likes of tinubu, rotimi amaechi, atiku financed buhari election wyle buhari used his own popularity in north to checkmate PDP. If not for d alliance,PDP would av won d election. Cos ever since buhari has been contesting under ANPP and CPC,he sparingly campaign in the south generally
He onlyy campaigned vigorousy in d north, believing d north votes can help him win d election.

I still maintain my stands no northerner can match Buharis popularity in d north even as it stands.despite d economic woos as at today 26/8/2019

Baba elyte, said baba don employ you as is campaign manager and u know tell me, abi.

ejaria and ebere are kids rohr ought to monitor closing not nwakali jnr and co who are yet to do anything tangible in europe but just living on past glory.

Ejara has not made up his mind yet. On Eze I agree. However, I think Nwakali deserves his invitation. His performance was right in front of Rohr and he was quite exceptional. The same applied to simmy N.

BascoVanVeli:
U hit the nail on the head, he is a true fighter. Most would still have their head in their hands but he got on with things and showed true character.

Exactly boss. Etebo too is on fire!

BascoVanVeli:
Another Sunday morning Ighalo special. That's 9 goals in 9 since the WC.

That's my boy!! He is a fighter. I just love is spirit.

Please house, is it possible to adjust ur old form and submit it for the second interview?

Mickael2:
You are something oh.

You are arguing with someone who is busy bringing up a match against Aston villa. I mean that us faulty in all aspects. First of all this is Aston Villa, who even knows the names of those defenders there? I remember Ighalo having monster games against even Chelsea and Liverpool(he scored against Man U too) but then his go to game is against Aston Villa. sha let's say that's what he has. the second problem there is in what year did he actually play that match? Three years ago? I mean if we go by that wasn't it Ighalo that just scored a hattrick in the Chinese league? What's Iheanacho's most recent performance(s) in recent competitive games? This una argument no make sense just drop it

honestly edi287 dey fall hand. Iheanacho better than Ighalo, in what aspect exactly? The last good game he had for Nigeria in a competitive match was against Zambia away. how many years is that exactly?

edi287:
You said "explosive". I have already said Nacho is a good finisher and has a better final pass.
But Nacho doesn't bully defenders the way peak Ighalo did.

You just fell for the Goodjoe's trap!! lloll. Yes Nacho is just as average as Ighalo. Simple. None of them is spectacular.

itsyourboya:
Stop spamming for Christ's sake! Gosh!!!

Visa finally approved on Thursday 9th august at 6:45am.. Lagos consulate
I got to the embassy before 6am, waited in line, after all the biometrics and all, we finally got into the hall. I just kept praying in my mind and telling God that I want a male white v.o this time and he must lead with questions that will enable me to sell my strong points.. Finally sha, I got sent to window two..male white v.o.. Two guys were inline ahead of me and both got denied but I said hmmm, I have done my best o, God please favour me..Then came my turn ...
Me- Good morning
V.o- Good morning, pass me your documents please
* I passed it*
He then typed into his computer, looked surprised, starred right at me and said
V.o - you were here less than three weeks ago, how did you get another appointment ?
Me - errm I just paid for another visa fee and reapplied and I got a date
V.o- really? You just paid? And just got a date? Even though we have a back log and u are required to wait for two months, so wen u were asked that have u applied in the last two months, u said yes and then got a date?
* At this point, I started thinking wowwwwww my lifeeeee... Is this the angle village people want to use this time ?? Yayyyyyyy, egbami ooo, ayemi temi bami, whats all this?*
Me- actually sir , I used an agent
V.o - says " you used an agent*
Me - because I was trying to meet up with my resumption date
V.o- so your agent misrepresented for you
*Then he turns to his computer and started typing*
At this point I thought it is finished and the next thing he just said
V.o - so what are you going to do in the united states?
Me - *in my mind, I just thought my interview was marred already but let me just answer*
Me- I'm going to southern uni Louisiana for my MBA
V.o- whats your major?
Me- I intend to generalize in my first year then major in entrepreneurship in my second year..
V.o - how many schools did u apply to?
Me- two, southern uni and northeastern uni, Boston
V.o- so why did you choose southern?
Me- asides from the fact that I got funding( he picks up my i-20 and looked at it), the curriculum is structured in a way that I get to combine courses that are in line with my career goals, also its a HBCU and I was impressed with the cultural diversity of the school and the city, then the school is relatively small, close knit community which will give me proximity to my profs, and is also similar to the kind of experience I had in my undergrad so I felt like I will settle in easily..
V.o - what's your highest level of education
Me- I have a b.sc in masscomm from Bowen uni
V.o- what do you do now?
Me- i'm a venture capital analyst for xyz private equity
V.o- so as an analyst, why not go into finance, why entrepreneurship?
Me- well, I chose entrepreneurship because its in line with my long term career plan.. I intend to have an NGO in my home town that will focus on not just funding but also mentoring small businesses with special consideration for women , I have made some contacts In the venture capital industry already and with this degree, I will be getting the required skills and practical knowledge to make that work..
V.o- *nodding* ...okay , how do you intend to fund this?
Me- I have funding and my dad will be taking care of other expenses that might come up
V.o - how did you get this GA?
Me- I got shortlisted for this through the volunteer project support work I've been doing for the ict center since 2013, also I submitted my undergrad result, my GRE , I wrote an essay and I had a 30 mins Skype interview with two profs and a faculty member..I have my letter of sponsorship to that effect here with me..* hands it over*
V.o- okay, please excuse me
He then disappears for over 7 mins with my documents .. It felt like forever and I kept wondering ohh my God, what is this again o? Hmmmm, God I know you have followed him Inside that room o and you must come through for me.. I just kept praying for favour..I guess he went to verify something probably about the research center ..after what seemed like a lifetime, he came back..
V.o- thanks for your patience .. So, tell me more about this GA..
Me- *i cant really remember what i sed here but its something like *..okay, like I sed earlier , I have been doing volunteer work for the center, I help in primary data collection, I've been doing that for years and I finally got the chance to go and continue what I started with them, while also getting my degree..I am one of the African delegates ...* he cuts Me off* and then says, That's okay.. I will be approving your visa, you can pick up at this location after 3 days, you will be blah blah blah..
Honestly at this point, I went temporarily deaf o.. I will be approving your visa just kept ringing in my head..He had to tap the window to get my attention and then talked about the importance of the i-20 at the POE.. That's how I smiled, said thank you sir, picked up my folder and left o.... Thanks to everyone that assisted with my questions on this thread... We will all make it in Jesus name ..

Saw it on sky sport Ekong to udinese and Omerou to leganese. My boys are moving. The essence of having a relatively good world cup. I am so happy right now.

Victor Moses why? You almost single handedly qualified us for the last world cup. How in this world can I ever forget your dazzling display against Algeria at home and Cameroon home and away. Those 3 matches were the foundation of our WC qualification aside Zambia home and away.

Wetherbell:
They were tougher than what is in the Manhattan 8-book series. Only Magoosh's Quants and verbal sections were comparable. Never had issues with TC and SE, so was always using ETS Big Book RC compilation with timing to improve RCs - it worked like magic, those practice questions were of the same level as the real test itself.

Cheers.

Thank you bro. Please can you help me with those Magoosh materials. fabulousyom@gmail.com.

Wetherbell:
I want to thank everybody on the forum - the founding fathers, the gurus who took up the mantle...everybody. I have been a silent reader since last year. I took the GRE exam on Friday. Although it has been mentioned so many times here, but there is nothing that can actually prepare one for how tough that exam is. Infact, apart from using materials like NOVA, Manhattan to have the knowledge of the basics, i think one should not even bother with them. In terms of how tough the exam was, only few materials like Magoosh, ETS big book(RC) have similarities. The first Verbal and Quant section were 'bitter', very very bitter and downright evil to set an exam as tough as that. The next Verbal was easy, so much so that I was suspicious...then the last Verbal section was medium regarding how tough it was. All in all the sequence was VQVQV.
My unofficial scores are Verbal - 161 and Quants - 155. I got distracted a few weeks to the exam due to having confirmation of Canadian permanent residency because there were some series of full tests (Princeton) that I was getting better scores. Nevertheless, I will take the score and be grateful to God and man for the help rendered.

Undergraduate - Biochemistry 3.38/4 (WES CANADA)
