Nope! A draw. We beat Iceland and draw Argentina to qualify.
Bolowolowo:
Fellow Eagalians, tomorrow, Argentina will face Croatia. What result can we realistically hope for. An Argentian win?

See the Moroccans, yes they are loosing but they are giving their all. The bane of all the African teams is that there is no standard 9/goal scorer
motherfucker:
My bro... My problem is that there was no passion, no determination and no grit... Like you said. It's been decades I saw a Nigerian super eagles play with such factors.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 1:17pm On Jun 20, 2018
Do not mind them jare. The same Poles our 2nd team defeated on their own turf.
M7even:
Please guys there is nothing special about these Senegalese side. We equally defeated the Poles in the home ground. They were the reason I specifically said nothing special about FIFA ranking.

When AFCON starts we would still beat the Senegalese.. even if Igalo was our point man

It is not about winning or loosing. It is about the way they play. Show grit, show determination, fight, show passion. This is what Nigerians want. I can bet that if those guys play very well and still loose, nobody will blame them. We are Nigerians we hate timid soccer, attack them, counter attack them, fight for every second ball, give your all on the pitch for your country. That's all we need, loose or win. Your opponent has the ball in their 18yard box and naija boys are running back to defend. Defend what please! Men!! we showed too much respect to that rubbish Croatia team that is what is paining me the most.
Oasis007:
grin

Let's forget it Bruh. I believe you are still hurting coz the Loss is still haunting you. I pray we win our next Match, otherwise I pity what's gonna become of this Thread if we lose to the Icelanders.

haaaahhaa, grit and determination
Joebie:
No be just follow, if he ran a little slower he won’t have gotten that chance. That striker ran like he was running for his life.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 9:02pm On Jun 19, 2018
No not downplaying their win. What for! I am just been objective. He was asked to come into the pitch the moment the pols guy played the ball backwards thinking no Senegalese player was there. Go rewatch that moment, the pols last man hesitated a bit cos of the confusion. The ball was played right to where he was going so why will he not follow the flight of the ball.
Joebie:
Leave Africa matter. Let’s focus on our Super Eagles

Modified

Trying to downplay Senegal’s win. I can tell u for sure if Nigeria has that opportunity no player in that team would have chased that ball like that.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 8:51pm On Jun 19, 2018
No African team has scored from either corner kick or free kick yet they have conceded most goals from dead ball situations. Football has gone pass the era of dancing around, it is about little details such as crosses, shooting accuracy and dead ball efficiency.
Senegal's goals today came from good fortune. No really outstanding attempt on goal. The second goal will be pursued by any striker cos that was the only choice available

To say the truth, these are the worst African reps to world cup in recent memory. All the teams have no respectable strikers. Senegal played just like us passing and running around without any meaningful cutting edge however Luck shined on them cos both teams were shitty just like CroNgr.

I watched the Iceland coach interview this morning and he emphasized one thing, Nigeria will want to win the match.
This guys are not on twitter promising shit, they are training guys real training.
This will be most difficult match at this year world cup cos we loss we go home.
If we win this match forget Argentina, we will qualify.
However, I do not think we will beat Iceland with this team and moral killing coach.

waoo, mujta the Great. Short for words brother! Currently doing some findings on the 6days war of 1967 and October 1973 Israeli Arab war. The findings have been absolutely breathtaking. We need to break the religious barrier and open our mind and heart to investigate history cos at the end of it all we are all families from the same source; Adam and Eve
Mujtahida:
On the holocaust. Investigation you say? Okay then. Six million is the number you and almost everyone that has heard about the holocaust knows abi? Are you aware that the original plaque put after the war at the Auschwitz- Berkanau camps were changed from 4 million to 1. 5 in 1995(yet till date everybody still recites 6 million). Germans are meticulous record keepers. Yet till date not even a single document can be found emanating from the German military high command directing the organised killings of Jews. a. k. a holocaust.

Again why is it a crime to question the historicity of the holocaust? Why?

Are you aware that right from the 19th century the six million figure had been making the rounds in publications even before the supposed holocaust happened?

Charles the Gaule published his 3 volume war memoirs, (published in 1954 & 56). No single mention of such a pivotal event as the holocaust. Churchill published(published from 1948-1953) his 6 volume war memoirs. No single mention of the holocaust. Dwight Einsenhower published his two volume war memoirs. No single mention of the holocaust. I trust you know who this men are and the roles they played during the War. I am one who doesn't accept the dominant view of history without at least querying it. I ask questions and probe. 6 million holocaust story is huge gigantic money spinning fraud. Were Jews killed? Yes. So were other nationalities. You talk about the killing of Jews, have you talked about the Jewish inspired killings of German women and children? How they firebombed German cities and levelled it? Read Operation firestorm: the bombing of Dresden edited by Paul Addison. Read also Hellstorm: The death of Nazi Germany by Thomas Goodrich. This were holocausts that mainstream media says nothing about. Have you talked about the holodomor?

You have read about the holocaust from its proponents, watched films like 'inglorious basterds,' 'escape from Sobibor', 'Schindler's list'. But have you investigated to find out if what you think you know is true? Have you heard the story of the other side? You read one side and take their account as fact just because it's the dominant view. You hear even the faintest whisper from the other side. You close your ears and even possibly worst your mind and label their own account as 'conspiracy theories'. Your logic is this: mainstream = to truth. Unorthodox version of events = lies and conspiracy theories. You are an adult man! Think! Investigate!

It's a truism that the Victors always write the history. But I know the danger of a single story as chimamanda warned. Professor Y. B Usman always enjoined his students to thrust beyond the dominant view and interrogate history. I have so much to say but let's bury this subject cos it is like talking about religion. I don't think I can convince you otherwise. But perhaps ar least one or two persons here will read this and go test the waters.

Now back to football: you are only mentioning players dropped and making inferences. Abeg point me to one single factual online report (not opinion ooo) backing your opinion. I have told you several times that what you say about sentiments is your opinion. No fact whatsoever.

waoo, you just spoke my mind bro. I think the Europeans want to use this VAR of a thing to rig the system. See the how Hummel's push Hernandez down yet no pk was given.
somehow:
Very similar to what Ekong did. pure robbery from the ref. even the Swiss goal was a push. seems VAR is only used for specific teams grin grin grin

the swiss are playing 3-5-2 and have been able to wrestle the mid field from Brazil. I just kept thinking what might have been if we had played 3-5-2.

You can now see who the domesticated baboon is. My knowledgeable brothers are schooling you miserable self
phreakabit:
You are a clown.
Iniesta is an 8 in the 4-3-3 formation
You have a DM Busquets , A CM Xavi and CAM Iniesta stop reasoning like a domesticated baboon( I am sorry for insulting baboons with this comparison) and go get informed before coming to test your superior.

you should ask yourself if you get sense not me. If xavi is a ten, then what is iniesta's position and if Pirlo is a ten what is del pierro or totti's position.
phreakabit:
You get sense? Abi mouth dey scratch you?
What do you know about the work of a 10/CM (not CAM)
Was Xavi fast? Was Pirlo fast? most of you watch tv and judge by what the player is wearing....
Most players you see wearing 10 are actually playing 8 (CAM or AM depending on formation).
An 8 requires a decent speed, a 10 doesn't.
For your info Mikel played as an 8(CAM) yesterday in a messed up formation.
He is actually best suited for a deep lying playmaker role = 10...
