Your info is incorrect. The core of that team are highly experience players not under 23 please. Gyan, Muntari, Asamaoh, Panstail, Mensah, Prince Boateng etc Geofavor: The problem is in the set of players we always take to the world cup. They don't have enough energy to compete on a world level. They can only do well against fellow 'heavy' africans. Our players get tired quickly. They can't RUN and CHARGE their opponents for 90 minutes like the south americans and europeans do.
If we are to go reasonably far in the next world cup, we need to do what Ghana did in 2010: use young players ( under 23) that have all played together for a while, probably a team of players from the youth team all promoted to the super eagles. This is the only way we will do well on a world stage. |

With the statement white onigbinde made to the press he is not ready to change nothing. However, I believe we will beat Iceland and draw Argentina to qualify. I read we were fouled a lot abit technically? but the ref did not blow for the fouls only to award Croatia a penalty. |

Currently not watching the game. However, I find it so hard to believe that Rohr is playing 4-3-3 and also playing Shehu as right back. So why did they play all those friendly matches. |

With this formation, our guys will be running for 90 minutes. Close mark them, do not give them breathing space to pass out from their defence. I know that Ndidi and Etebo will be full of running and if we are to come out of this match alive, it will be how well they both play. Yes we can, let's go naija Danielnino00: Nop... Etebo is playing CMF with Mikel behind d striker... |

Yessoo, my best film ever. Amazing quote from a wonderful movie TROY. realpoacher: Let them say that I lived in the time of C. Ronaldo.. The tamer of forces
Let them say that I lived in the time of Messi... The wonder kid
The both of them are the greatest footballers that ever liveth
They make the striking position which is so difficult to other strikers look so ordinary
They make football so beautiful and look so easy
We are blessed to have them in our lifetime
These two are not humans,.. No!... They are Aliens from outer space,.. They are from the Seventh Realm
NASA look no further in search of lifes in other planets.... Two of the extra terrestrial lifeforms are already dwelling amongst us
People, fans, Media, and Coaches,.. Do not try to compare these two against the other anymore because every time you do that they always raise the bar and push the limits
Look at a Center forward like C. Ronaldo at age 33...look at how much runnings he did today... He ran tirelessly tonight when many players or strikers at his Age will probably find difficult to do,
Messi is 32, at his Age many players are adjudged to be old and will be dropped but look at what he still does
Am sorry, as their era fades away gradually... For a long time coming, the world won't see any of them soon, not to talk more of having two of such comparison in the same era
I am awed and honored
I just love this beautiful game of football |

sorry to bust your bubble. Naija does not give up not only in football but in every fascet of life. We fight to the end. Greatest comeback in football history. Damman Miracle, Atlanta 96 against Brazil and Argentina and many more. Please do not compare Naija grit with that of Ghana. We are come back kings!! Underrate and Underestimate Naija at your Peril. Go back to hidden. KK555: What was the result of last night's match between Iceland and Ghana? You lot need to learn but your arrogance won't let you. Your downfall. If you on the high, make it count. Ghana was prior to Brazil 2014. In 2011, Ghana was at Wembley, the result was 1-1 at the end of 90 mins. Asamoah Gyan scored to deny them victory. On the 6th of june, i believe the whole of Africans wanted to see Nigeria beat them or at least get a draw but Nigeria came up short. Like Ghana prior to Brazil 2014, Nigeria did well qualifying out of a tight group, not even Shehu's error could deny them a place in Russia but do you believe that this team would fly high in Russia? Are you convinced with their plays so far? mind you, this is supposedly the best prepared Eagles team since 1994. No issues of money, quality friendly matches, motivation from either the government or NFF.
You should focus on the Nigeria doing well in Russia than wasting your energy on Iceland vs Ghana result. Ghana does not have Nigeria's money but when it comes to grit and no nonsense attitude towards opponents, you can rate them high and bank on them to deliver.
It was that no nonsense attitude that cost Nigeria the match with Athletico Madrid in Nigeria. Thomas Partey bossed the midfield and made Nigerian boys look like kids. None could match his physical and mental strength.
At 0-2 down, people like you are having orgasm but your sort of attitude is their strength. They make you eat your words.
Ghana does not give up. |

Iwobi's Joy and passion playing for Nigeria makes me happy. After scoring that goal see the way he was jumping up using his hand to signal to the Nigerian supporters to Shout. Body language matters in football, sometimes some players that are not so good starts ahead of the others because of their body language. That's why LINGARD starts ahead of MARTIAL. AINA's body language playing for us does not show enough passion maybe that was why he was drop. |

Na adrenaline rush of excitement (I wonder what mood you were in that day) make you drop that bold comment. England were always the favorites but I was convinced we would give them a good game. Abeg no quit the thread. lol... Just next time don't be like that fan from Ghana who once famously said...

That is why it is called a friendly match. It helps to separate pretenders from Koko. Tyrone Ebeuhi come marry my daughter abeg. You too much chrisooblog: Onazi was utterly rubbish truth be told that matuidi tackle four years ago did him in. Joel has finally shown that he's not it. Honestly those 2 deserve to be dropped for such a shambolic first half. Victor moses also needs to be brought down to earth all this prima donna rubbish is irritating. Yes Francis uzoho should have done better with harry kane's goal but after all the pressure he was under from the english attack I think we can cut him some slack.
Overall a disastrous game was redeemed with a good performance in the second half team still needs serious work. As for rohr as much as I commend him for making the tactical switch and enforcing personal changes he can't honestly tell me that he sees onazi And joel in training and still thinks they deserved a starting place really poor decision from him.
Haven't lost hope in the team come rain come sunshine I will still back them but at least one good outcome from this game is that we can all now calm down and manage our expectations.
Let's go super eagles |

We have the best players to play 3-5-2. Etebo and Ogu weldone sir. You don shut your doubters up Shukusheka: Exactly what I have been saying, we have been struggling because our tactics hasn't been able to match England's 3-5-2 formation. We need to change to 3-5-2 to match them player for player. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by fabyom: 6:20pm On Jun 02, 2018 |
It is hard for any team to win a 3-5-2 formation playing another formation. What happened to the formation that defeated Argentina. Return the favour play 3-5-2 Also. Remove ighalo for simmy Joel for Tyrone, onazi for Awaziem/omeruo. shehu for musa. Mikel should move to 4. Iwobi 10. Then leave moses, musa and simmy upfront. We can still savage this game. |
