When the hausa soldiers in abeokuta mutineed and killed ibo officers where they were having a meeting, they called a low ranking officer in Ibadan and informed him, it was this officer that came to wake Danjuma and took him to govt house to arrest Ironsi, Fajuyi came down to see them after a lot of confusion, why wasn't he killed then if he was a target, but Danjuma stated that he told him the situation and allowed him to go back in and inform the Head of state.

When Ironsi was arrested, Fajuyi couldn't afford to let him go alone. He was not a target. It was because he stood by Ironsi that he became a casualty.

There was no such time that Fajuyi offered himself to die with Ironsi. At least Col Sani Bello Ironsi's ADC is still alive to corroborate this.

Jail can also be a verb i.e He has been jailed

Prison means Jail, Jail means prison. Just that a prison may be larger than a jail but they are specifically built for the same purpose.
