Sports / Re: Why Nigerian Commentators Should Not Comment On Serious Matches by Fadipeshet(m): 10:59pm On Mar 25, 2016
The commentary annoyed me more than the goal.I was unfortunate to hear the unprofessional commentary when power was restored, and I had to temporarily switched to TV for decoder to complete scanning.

I really need a powerful UPS, My ear will never hear this type of commentary again.Lailai.I prefer to listen to music instead

Politics / Re: FG Apologises To Nigerians Over Blackout by Fadipeshet(m): 7:17am On Mar 12, 2016
Can we have a review of the generation and transmission policy?.Let us abolish this idea of adding everything generated to the national grid;I mean let states implement IPP (Independent Power Project)to power their states. This will discourage vandalisation . If a man in Bayelsa knows that his act of vandalism will affect only his area,he will naturally think twice. The people(locals) also will become more protective as they will take full ownership. Also,It is much easier for state to protect owned power infrastructures. Am not intrested in tales and blame game, I just want Nigeria to be great.

Business / Re: The Worst Telecom Networking Firm In Nigeria by Fadipeshet(m): 2:35pm On Aug 08, 2011
MTN .

They have all the benefits of being first, but they are NOT giving back to their subscribers like pioneer should.

This is not to say all the other operators are better of.

GLO is the best because they dymistified what MTN said was not possible at that time(Per second billing).

It is barbaric i agree but until there is complete overhauling of the Police and a total reform and strict implementation

An attempt to legalize Illegality?

Anyway , If this is done, let us hope that the associated evils such as the quota system, federal character

and all other enemies of professionalism all in the name of equity will die a natural death.

Politics / Re: Okorocha Begins Delivery Of Free Kerosene In Imo State by Fadipeshet(m): 1:59pm On Aug 08, 2011
I laugh!

I remember i heard in one of the electronic media that the Osun state governor did something similar.

But the question we should ask ourselves is this:
For how long are we going to continue with QUICK FIX. It doesn't help @ all, not in anyway.

The solution is not far fetch, it could come out in their Governors' forum.
Properties / Re: Why Doesn't Lagos State Tax My Property - I'm Willing To Pay by Fadipeshet(m): 1:52pm On Aug 08, 2011
Yes, Tax is good and as a matter of fact is one of the effective fiscal instrument for revenue generation.

Having said that, in as much as people , most especially someone like me , will love to pay such tax,

We need some form of assurance, i mean commitment on the part of government in form of a working institutional framework
that will guarantee the judicious use of this fund .

Fashola we all know is working but in 5 years time , are we going to be singing the same song about his successor??
Education / Re: ‘we Target 800,000 Students Entering Universities By 2016’ by Fadipeshet(m): 1:37pm On Aug 08, 2011
I am particularly concerned about the issue of access.

While i beleive it is good to increase access to education, It is imperative for us to inculcate commensurate level
of quality into the system.

It is not just enough to have it, the quality matters.

A graduate of 1990 without any experience for example should not be better of than that of 2011
Phones / Re: MTN Responds To Salami's Claims: Says Systems Can't Be Hacked by Fadipeshet(m): 12:23pm On Jun 11, 2011
No system can be 100% fully secured.

"Law of efficiency"

Contemporarily secured means hacking in progress, and you can be sure of a breakthrough!

Politics / Re: Inec Adhoc Staff Protests For Non-payment (pictures) by Fadipeshet(m): 8:58pm On Jun 04, 2011
Professor Jega should do something about this.
That elections were cancel does not in any way mean that these people will not be paid afterall people had voted
in some locations before the cancellation and some people conducted the exercise, botched or not.

We should be mindful of anything that will affect the credibility of the most widely acclaimed best election ever conducted in Nigeria.
Politics / Re: The Wall Of Corruption In Nigeria Is About To Fall Down - Gej by Fadipeshet(m): 8:47pm On Jun 04, 2011
Signing a bill into law is no big deal without prejudice to the good intention of the FOI bill.
Following through with the implementation of such laws has always been a big challenge.

For instance, what has happened to the section of the electoral act that says incumbent public office holders should
resign from their current office not later than 3 months before contesting for an election.

The question is this HAS THIS BEEN FULLY IMPLEMENTED TO THE LATTER?.

My suggestion for a corruption free Nigeria:

1. Strenghten the Judiciary
2. Empower and Equip the Police

Before you know it, everything will become normal

Politics / Re: Ogun: Amosun Declares Free Education, Healthcare by Fadipeshet(m): 4:18pm On Jun 01, 2011
Yes, who says it is not possible ?
Free education should actually catalyse academic excellence with no prejudice to exceptional cases of abuse.

As for me, i commend his effort but i will equally like him to give the state an unprecedented infrastructural lift. His predecessor has done the state more harm than good.
