They can actually give him the visa for the short course--if he had not been refused the recent B1/B2. And it is too close. It says desperation! LagosismyHome: I doubt if the embassy gives visa for 6 weeks course . Also since you had a recent B1B2 rejection then going for a 6 weeks would flag as a potential "runaway" |

A Nigerian applying for US visa outside their native country is bound to be denied. Nigerians for that matter! You should have come home and apply for the b1/b2 and it would have been granted. Now, that you are in Nigeria, and you want to apply for a Master's program, you've got a lot of work to do. Using google would help. Start there. You are asking for so much with your request: school without GRE, etc. And you may not find it! Anyway, if you are missing something, ask your questions here, or reach out to me. aoruma: i was denied visa in the UK twice for tourism during my masters program I returned to Nigeria since 2016 October, but was to apply for master and PHD, i am looking for a school without GRE and Toefl if possible with any school that gives tuition waver or any kind of support for international student i have part of thr fees but to pay the rest later.pls i am looking at courses like information technology and technology management. |

You should have reached out to people here before you went ahead and apply and pay the application fee, etc for that 6-week course. As someone who's experience in this field, trust me, you will be refused again. If you want your visa granted, chill. And even if you'll go for an academic program, consider Masters. Denied on September 5 and now going back with document for a 6 weeks academic program (which means you are applying for a different kind of visa (F1 precisely)) will warrant a refusal. As someone has rightly advised, don't waste the 59, 200 you are about to pay. Give things time. If you must go back there, plan it very well. Act intelligently, and if possible and you can afford it, get travel history. American Embassy don change. Posa: Good day everyone here. I am new in this Student section anyway but have gained a lot from my little knowledge from The visit visa Section, I once applied for a B1/B2 VISA and was rejected on 5th September and now I want to study for a 6weeks course In Phoenix Aviation college, I have all the necessary documents waybilled to Me and I have paid all necessary fees except for The Tuition fee which is pegged at $5k, pls can anyone brief me on how to go about the application please, I learnt is same process for the B1/B2 VISA. Pls help |

This question is too personal for another person to answer for you. What are your life goals? Do you have any academic goal and career plan? If you say yes, then write them down. Use these to guide yourself on the next step to take. If you don't have any career plan yet or you are yet to define a purpose on which your entire life would be built on, please embark on a self-discovery journey and go find yourself first. Once you find yourself, which equal finding your destiny, you'll not need another human to tell you if it is okay for you to study or travel to the U.S; you will decide for yourself whether or not it is right for you. You'll become the captain of your ship! You'll be separated from the crowd of human on Earth's Streets that are moving tho and fro without direction. And life will have a significant meaning to you! That your sister traveled to the U.S does not mean you must necessarily follow the same path. And if I may ask, how old are you? boommer: goodmorning all. its been 4mo, nths since my sister left to Us on a graduate visa, it is ok for me to apply? |

Alright. Read the whole thread of this part. You'll get enough information to guide you. If that is not enough, drop a basic, specific question related to what you wish to know on the wall here and someone will answer you. I will advice you to consider a field related to Biochemistry for your Masters, so that your undergraduate studies will serve as a crucial foundation for it. purityconfi: I’m a 24yr old that just graduated from biochemistry department with a 2.2 and I want to relocate to USA preferably Texas to further my studies. I want to change my field to a course computer science, health or food related. I don’t really have anyone there but I’d like to know more about Travelling and studying there and probably working there too. Thank you |

Is it editable PDF or just plain? Letter of introduction should be from employer, stating you work there and you plan to travel to Portugal and they are aware of this plan. Letter of self-introduction is for you, written by you, addressing and stating purpose for which you are going to Portugal, duration of stay, stating where you would be staying, and indicating you have more than sufficient funds the travel requires. Do you understand? JUSTWISE? I am sure he's already here. Bfoundation: Thanks a lot, broda. I already have the blank form with me but the question is do I have to fill it online or I print it out and then fill using a pen? Like someone was telling me, is Letter of Introduction and Letter of self Introduction the same? And pls, how do I notify/invite someone like 'JUSTWISE' to read and comment on dis?
Thanks for your quick response. Others, pls drop ur comments! |

First, this thread is for US Student visa. But to answer your question, you seem to be fine with all the papers on your hand right now. There must be Application form to fill. Search for this on google: Application form for Portuguese Tourist/visiting Visa. Add your bank statement: Good luck. Bfoundation: Hello house. Pls, i need your help on this. I'm on leave from work and I would want to apply for a Portuguese visa as a tourist. I have a little traveling experiences(Dubai n 2 other East n south African countries) and a 6 months salary account of 400k monthly. I don't intend going through agents. My employer is ready to supply the papers I need and they've asked me to list them but I want to be sure of them as I intend submitting my Visa application at the VFS office in Lekki next week. Are these papers below what I need: Offer of Employment. Letter of Introduction. Letter of self introduction Letter of Consent Leave letter. PAYE Tax clearance. Health insurance, flight booking, hotel reservation, pay slips for the last 6 months and work ID card. Pls, informed travelers of nairaland, is the above all I need? Kindly advice, pls.
NOTE: do I have to fill the form online or print it out and then fill with a pen? |

Which letter? Spring 2019 I-20 or for Summer? royal200: Thanks for your contribution boss, please with some consideration and some advice I will like to differ my admission to summer, since spring is January and I never get my posted admission letter. Please I have a question
Do I need to get the admission letter first before I applied for differement and will I need to subit any other document or any payment to differ to summer.
Please it urgent and the school will send letter today by their regular 4-6weeks post. Thanks |
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 14 by fairheart(m): 9:41am On Dec 06, 2018 |
Tell them not to send it again. Then in the same message state that you'd like to defer and the reasons. 1, i-20 will not get to you in time. 2, there is not suitable date for visa interview in your home country. 3, you strongly believe that Summer admission will allow you to prepare adequately, etc. Once they defer, tell school to send the Summer i-20 immediately. Or raise money for courier. There's no point letting them send the Spring 2019 i-20, if you want the admission deferred. Sorry, been busy and the response was light. royal200: I don't actually get the full point. Are you saying I should tell not to send it again. Or should I wait until I get my papers and then tell them I need a differ.Because you also said (Ask them to hold the Spring 2019 i-20 and defer.) |

Your decision is reasonable. You just need to write to your school. Explain your situation and state reasons why you wish to defer. If you defer you will not need to submit additional docs (depends on school) and the i-20 already prepared will not be useful again. Though you can use the sevis number to pay sevis fee ahead getting the summer i-20. Ask them to hold the Spring 2019 i-20 and defer. royal200: Thanks for your contribution boss, please with some consideration and some advice I will like to differ my admission to summer, since spring is January and I never get my posted admission letter.
