Hmm, If you're as educated as you claim you are, you should understand me head on. There was a question (?) at the back of my wordings. That is to say, I was asking you a question; I didn't conclude. I am still learning, because that's one of the stuffs life is made of. Pay attention to the way you talk to people! Learn, and let's learn! I will not stoop and exchange more words with you.
TWoods:
If you had an ounce of integrity, you would apologize for falsely calling me a liar, rather than this dishonest attempt to save face. The art of communication also includes the ability to read, comprehend correctly and knowing when to correct the record when you make mistakes. Obviously you’ve got work to do yourself.

Smiles... couldn't you write responsibly? You need to learn the art of communication, or else, your sanity will be seen as insanity!
TWoods:
Yours is a frankly idiotic post, written by someone who obviously cannot read. Here is her post, expressly stating that her sister has no papers.
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by fairheart(m): 6:41pm On Jan 17, 2018
You concluded so fast! How sure are you her sister is illegal immigrant? How were you able to confirm that?

While I understand her approach is going to squander her hard-earned money, I would expect a responsible, mannered response to someone who's disturbed and needed guideline.
TWoods:
Even your sister giving you advice is an illegal immigrant, hiding from the police.

1. Your househelp isn’t going anywhere.
2. You likely will be refused a visa, save your money.

There is a school that will give you full scholarship in Mississipi, especially with a strong essay for the application.
Your waec palava is not an issue. Just act fast and apply to the schools you want to go.
Good luck

The process is step by step!
First, decide your prefered states in the US, where you would like to study.
Decide which program you would like to do
Then begin looking for schools within that state and study the program requirement thoroughly
If aný test is required, prepare to write it and do so excellently well if your aptitude can carry it
Then apply for the term you prefer ( I am guessing fall 2018)
Send in required documents,
Get your I-20 and pay sevis fee,
pay visa fee and fill DS 160
Schedule appointment
prepare for interview,
and get the visa
FLY!
There are expert on this process, or people who might help on this forum, contact them when you are ready. Or if you like, PM me. I will guide you!

Nothing much! Just prepare to answer the consular on why you are travelling. Don't expect much question. I really want to believe your profile or title as a director will increase your chances. In other word, believe in yourself!
Bigdaddy234:
Good day all,

If you are a director in a company in Nigeria, and you are planning for a vacation with your family just for three wks in American.I.e as a director u have 30 staff working under you in Nigeria.

Pls advise and revert on how to go about the interview.
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 13 by fairheart(m): 6:16pm On Jan 06, 2018
Time is very important. Why do people assume most application deadline for fall 2018 ends last year. There are countless of schools with deadline extending to May, so long you are not looking for scholarship. And even if Scholarship is your target, there are still school that gives GA, though that may not be cover the whole tuition.

Other than that, statement of purpose is very essential. If you need to write a perfect one, I will advise you to assess yourself first. What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years, and what do you see yourself doing? Using the information from this assessment, you can begin to work on your statement of purpose. bit by bit! Other than that, if you want a powerful statement of purpose and you still doubt you can deliver that yourself, find expert you can pay. I do that for graduates, both within Nigeria and in the US!
I pray God helps you. Amen! But stay focus!!!!

You fall into wrong hands and I guess that is why you are used! You got the necessary experience now though.

NEC pls Oo, I just did a one week research on school is the US , I have read closed thread I think from 2014
for materials send a blank email to selfstudy360@gmail.com and

I have told you NEC about my visa denials (3x) because of agent fraud n shortcuts. I planning in starting again cos my GRE score of 279 can't get a good school but visa mills
but I have been told by twoods and Lagosishome to take my time, I think they are right... cos most good public schools admission end Jan 2018. the only one that seems quiet diff is Penn State University they offer admission round the yr(correct me plz o)
are they available genuine schools whose admission deadline I can meet with while I write my GRE in may.
How do I go about the statement of purpose.

There are many schools that still offer admission for fall 2018! I have more than 5 that has deadline till May 2018. The more researched you are, the more you will understand about US application process. I am just trying to help though. Goodluck!

There is not wrong if a Master's I-20 is showing student personal funds, if that is what you were saying. Hasn't this student been working and saving?
Mitchely:
@ thefacelessguy:

I think Time2smile has addressed all the important points. Keep response as short and clear as possible. Also wondering why your I-20 is showing personal funds, please be prepared to answer why to the VO. For bank statements, I cant say much as I have no experience in that. All the best!

Did you actually read the original post? I was sharing certain people experience, and nobody knows who might experience the same thing again. Haba! Very simple thing; i saw telling them exactly what you did: inform your school official of your travelling schedule, as you never know the kind of immigration officer you will meet. Is that so negative?
aadeyi:
I don't understand why he is just posting irrelevant things sef. He is just activating panic button for people unnecessarily. I got to the POE one week after the date on my I-20 and I was so confident nothing was gonna happen cos I already informed my International Student Advisor about the delay..... Even the CBP officer never asked me anything, I just strolled in like say na me get the POE.

I don't understand why someone who is obeying the rule should now panic!!!!! Mr @fairheart enough of this ur rant jare. Next!!!
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by fairheart(m): 11:09pm On Jul 06, 2017
Actually, when you refuse to think and assess possible positive reasons for which my original post was intended for, you did not only stoop, but also go below my level, even if you are 30 something. Anwering question is not a war, as you call it... if you call yourself a student. There is nothing to be afraid of that hadn't been felt prior interview that led to successful visa outcome at the embassy. If they could go to the embassy and conquer, they would be able to answer perfectly well at the port of entry, that is, should they be questioned!

You are the worrisome, fearful one who only see what is wrong where someone is showing what is right. Do not comment on my post again. It is totally unnecessary. Check my profile very well. Don't dare quote it!
femi312:
I dont have much to say to you, I wont be tempted to come down to your level 1) By saying 'young' its obvious you think everybody here is a kid or a 25 year old boy.
2) D esist from making posts that will cause tension or make applicants to be scared unneccesarily. Again, POE IS NOT A WARFRONT!

At the port of arrival, tell her to be ready to say why she came in so quick. I am sure her school want international students to do orientation. That is a good point. Other than that, tell her to call a school official the day she is leaving Nigeria and inform them of her schedule, and she should tell the official to be available to speak on her behalf in case the immigration officer choose to confirm her point for coming in earlier. Do things with confidence, but follow the rules. Safe journey to her.
Fortunate4real:
A female-friend of mine booked her flight for the same earliest travel date(July 23) on her i20, , her school resumes on August 22 (orientation)
is she safe or she should reschedule her flight.
i told her not to worry that she is covered but she insisted to hear from Nairalanders.
( she planned to resume that early; to learn some skills needed for her program organised in the school holding on the 26th of July, to sort out accommodation and other things)

its over to you sirs/ma. should she cancel her flight and fixed another date

You call this crap? When did you travel? If it is not useful for you because you have travelled, it is better you fold your fingers and watch. I am sure a lot of students with visas are looking for money for the ticket; I don't know why the guy got in late, even though he should have left earlier. Your comment is totally irrelevant, and I hope you will modify it.
Analytics:
If I was his brother and the Official Inspecting him. I will not only revoke his visa, he would surely get a 10 year ban as well for not being able to use his brain.

Forget all those crap. They said worse when I was coming through Chicago. Mind you my final destination was somewhere else. I wasn't even asked any question aside my documents. My bags were not even checked despite the fact that I had loads of foods inside.

NOTICE TO STUDENT VISA HOLDERS:
As at last night, @ Georgia Atlanta, a student visa holder (a Nigerian and cousin to my friend's friend) was turned back home after his visa was cancelled. The reason is that he did not leave Nigeria at the date stated on his I-20 that he should resume. He had waited more more months; that is, he should have left few months back. So when he got to the port of entry, he was sent back.

I am not saying this to put fear in anybody here, but pay attention and make sure you get your ticket in time. You have your visa already, and so you have no business waiting in Nigeria --EXCEPT your school resumption date is still more than 30 days. Please be warned! I wish all of you safe journey.

I advice all of you to leave latest 5 days before your school resumption, and make sure it is less than a month before your resumption. If you come in when it is still more than a month before your resumption date, forget it, you will be sent back live and you will need to buy another ticket. Be warned! And more importantly, AVOID LAX--Los Angelis International Airport, except you are going to that area. People are having issue with immigration at this port of entry! This information is coming directly from Texas, US.
Emmanuel.

You can use Naija account, sure. That is not a problem at all. You can hold your ds form until you have all the info you need to complete it, and then, you should keep the generated code number very well, as you would need it to continue later. Keep your security questions too. If you have other issue, write to me. I will be willing to help!

No! They won't ask you whether or not you have paid your tuition; but they may ask who is sponsoring you and in some cases, ask for your statement. Have some dollars cash in your hand. I recommend Minimum of $500-1000 ( if you have it). You might be asked questions, just prepare to do stage 2 interview at POE. Goodluck and safe journey!
