matrix199:
Snakes have suffered in the hands of peasant Nigerians. No thanks to Moses with the way he villainised snakes(serpent) in the book of Genesis.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if all the snakes in the world are killed? The population of rats would explode, leading to a plague that would cost millions of human lives before a cure is found.

Lets stop the impulsive killing of snakes that pose no threat. They play a vital role in the ecosystem just like pollinators like butterlies and bees play!

Well, that was my good nature speaking. The me after taking 8 bottles of budweisser would kill any threat that moves 50m close to my family.

Good you retracted at the final part of your comment.
First the rats you speak about live in human inhabited environments, while snakes prefer the unbothered wild, so how does the reduction in snake population directly and greatly influence population of domestic rodents??
second, have you ever had of cats and the number of mass extinction they have caused?? Just to remind you, rats are actually a preferred feline delicacy

Many totalled what they spent on food(including fruits and vegetables, meat, diary and so on, plus eating out atleast once a week, for those that mostly cook) then divide it by 30 Days, hence the somewhat high expense.
.

Mehn, I don't actually see money I spend on food as an expenditure of sort. I stopped doing that when I fell really ill for months. I promised myself if I got out of it, I would take care of myself. Unless I don't have the money at all. I understand prudence, but I can't sit to calculate money I spend on food, No. I am not the junk type tho.

Na A70 be the quality phone wey you save money for?

The way most of you Nigerians brag ehn

And to think you're using Galaxy A70. Wonderment

Normally I wouldn't reply you, but for the sake of clarifications. I mentioned I rather stay without a phone and save for a quality one. Now if a Samsung phone of 6 gig RAM, 128gig memory that actually cost me a 115k in 2019 is not costly and quality enough for you?? it is for me. I don't brag pls.

Depends on where you eat and what you eat.
I've eaten Eba for almost 50k in Lagos, though I wasn't the one who paid. I've also eaten Eba for less than 1k a plate.

I mean the lowest you can get a decent food here. ( A canteen). A plate of just rice and beans goes for #350.
Phones / Re: Share A Good/bad Experience On A Smartphone You've Used by faith551(m): 4:51pm On Oct 16, 2021
I have always been a phone freak, so I spend on quality phones. I either wait and save for 2 years to get a nice phone, or stay without phone for that period.
I use a Samsung A70, phone is almost 2years and runs like new. Never lagged a day even with the heavy files in it.

Stop thinking that people are too poor to afford stuff in Nigeria or Africa.

I remember when Shoprite were considering entering Nigeria a few years ago.

On this very Nairaland and other forums, you had many people saying that Shoprite were wasting their time coming to Nigeria, as only the ''very few rich politicians'' could afford to shop in malls, and that the average Nigerian was living on ''less than a dollar a day'', and was therefore far too poor to patronise shopping malls or help them make a profit.

Shoprite rightfully IGNORED all the naysayers and pessimists, and entered the Nigerian market.

The result? They can't even cope with the level of demand, and are building more and more outlets all over Nigeria, some in places as unlikely as Awka and Aba and Oshogbo!

That is why nobody should EVER listen to Nigerians when thinking of doing business in Nigeria.

I've never seen a people with so much to offer, yet who think so low of themselves.

You speak so simple with so much wisdom and class

Damnnnn....mehnn..you all need to see that goal..you all will shed tears..it was as if he applied the law of projectile[ physics]
And for some pussy ass niggarrs that keep saying he should leave Barcelona to show he his good...i will say those pussy ass niggarrs should tell their biological mother to leave their father and get pregnant for another man to show that she is really fertile..
Because Lionel messi has single handedly conquered almost all clubs in the world...so what do these pussy ass niggarrs still want

Uncle... changing clubs have ruined most good players career. Especially when its across different leagues. Go ask sanchez, Di maria, mesut ozil etc. Versatility and durability is a yardstick to measure greatness in football and your messi is lacking therein..(don't quote me wrong, he is unarguably one of the best, the best to some people too. But when you critically consider statistics, he only performed in Barcelona. The only second option he had is in the national team and we both know how much he has done.

I recall saying it here several months back that Biden was going to win Trump not because he is better. A lot of us Christians don't realize that what's happening in the US where Trump is being booted out is actually the will of God in this end time to allow for the preparation of the Antichrist to emerge. The Antichrist cannot emerge with Trump in power. Only a president like Biden can give the Antichrist such leeway. What's happening in America is just a fulfilment of scriptures that shows the rapture of the church is about to occur.

So what you are saying in essence is that trump is stronger than the devil, so the devil wanted people to cast votes and oust him so his son Biden can take over and then usher him (devil) in. Then God will now blow his trumpet........

I don't blame the military, I blame the puppet Sanwoolu who foolishly gave the army the chance to unleash terror on his people.

Sanwoolu invited the army, they shot at armless protesters and now he expects the army to come and start telling tales in front of a panel he constituted......smh.

That guy Sanwoolu is not even fit to be a local government councillor

So what you're saying the army only recognizes and respect the army??
So in the case where the president is a civilian would they still be answerable to him??
This is a democratic setting my friend, not a military regime. Law is law, uniform has no ifluence on it.

Menh I can't forget that fateful day I had only 50 naira in my entire life and was going to Festac town from Ijesha for an appointment.
I used 30 naira for t/fare hoping I'll be back with good news but the result is a story for another day.
I trekked in the hot sun of Lagos from Festac town down to Ijesha with my mind already spending the last 20 naira on garri, groundnut and probably sugar when I get home after the long trekking but something strange happened.
When I got to Ijesha bus stop, getting ready for the final trekking to my street which is like five kilometers from the bus stop, I saw this blind man with his daughter begging, and when I looked at d man, he looked straight to my eye and was begging for something from me.
Initially when I saw that blind man, I felt very grateful that I was a lucky guy,I felt pity and decided to move on with my 20 naira, I would av given him something but it was the last one on me.
Do you know that I ve to trek back from my street after successfully getting to my house to the bus stop just to give that same 20 naira to that blind man? Because my conscience would not let me rest from that moment I set my eye on the blind man...it was telling me, "you can do better by giving that 20naira to the blind man", I thought it was a joke until I submitted.
After that I saw myself crying unconsciously, trekking back home weak, hungry and without hope, but that's not the end of my story.

The following, someone I d never believed will help me, came to my house and took me to his place of work.... Same day, I was interviewed, same day I got my appointment letter, next day...
I started working in that company and the rest is history.

Wow. Finally i see someone with a conscience like mine. It can be terrible sometimes i swear. I had same experience years ago. It was a little kid, i had #100 left on a Saturday morning, the kid looked really hungry. I didnt know how to look for change. I just closed my eyes and passed the more i walked the more the beating increased, i looked back and saw some fine ladies coming when i wanted to go back and give the boy the money. My mind was telling me not to (it would look like show off, that was more like an excuse tho). Long story short i had to go back after getting home to search for that little boy. I felt like a heavy burden was lifted off me after that although the next two days were hell for me.
I see my conscience as a blesing sometimes cause i have quite the temper.

The mother should have handled the family domestic issues instead of calling the cops ...What did they call the cops for over a family domestic squabbles if they didn't thing their son was a threat... From the video I would say the cops did their best and had no choice but shoot and for those that wonder why American cops shoot a lot of bullets ? Its because they are trained to shoot till a target is completely neutralised and immobile , once they starts shooting they will shoot tills you can't move any of your limbs .... Families should learn when you call a cop to a family issues there is a possibility of loss of life and is the family ready for that

Shut up if you don't know what the Bleep you're saying.

Light at the end of the dark tunnel.

When BBN was going on, i was always against people talking down on youths who find interest in watching the show. A community always comes with diversity, everybody has the right to choose his/her happiness as far as it hurts no one.
They wheren't lazy, neither where they ignorant or less concerened in our plight as a people. Today most of those youths we abused as lazy, or vein are on the streets protesting. I can also bet that most people who where shouting about the show then are holed up in their houses.
I have never really seen the show tho
