How much were you having on your first try?

It was enough to pay for the 1st year but I showed properties that could cover for the 2nd session and my expenses.
However, I did not explain the lump sums in my account.

It’s obviously fake. Eligibility is 15th, PPR is 12. Lol

if you check my profile, I had stated the refusal and stated the approval. This is what Nairaland is becoming, so saying I received PPR is now a sin then I think its better I keep mute. Thank you for the wealth of information received here. I rest my case.

Biometrics again for 2nd application? Oh no!! Canada biometrics valids for 10yrs … some posts here in NL lately didn’t look real kind of…. “Then, I contacted Makano to guide me in writing the LOE” in this write up even raised a concern ..
NL travel thread isn’t what it used to be 8-10yrs ago … For 3hrs have been reading stories from diff thread and all I see is ppl complaining of scam and fake story up and down

Hmmm....actually I should have kept quiet but I knew I had to respond and make clarification.
I submitted my biometric slip again and it was acknowledged as received on that date.

If you need further enquiries, I think its better to ask than make hasty and negative assertions.

Well @CharitoJames, why won't you reapply if really you applied in the first place. I said it before I suspected you never had any application with IRCC, that was my only issue with you. I just wish you can apply for real this time around and see hand of God deliver your PPR.

Abeg leave matter...

Dear FaithCanny,

I would not advise you to reapply without seeing your GCMS notes, as it is on paper, you meet the requirements but the notes will allow you see what the Vo is holding on to reject the application though it appears you check the boxes. Request for GCMS notes today if you haven't, the notes should come ideally by first week of July. You can then reapply which will give you like 8 weeks timeline before resumption, on the other hand you can defer the admission to give you time if your sch allows it which will give you ample time for your application to be processed.

Thanks. I have requested for gcms notes and still trying to gather more documents. Please what exactly does personal assets and financial status actually imply? abeg make I just get idea before notes come.

how much is your monthly salary? (you may choose not to disclose the figure here), what percentage of the POF is your monthly salary?

These are some of the ways VOs use to ascertain if applicants are the original owners of the funds or are they just in the accounts for demonstration purposes.

Between September 2021 and Jan 2022, was there any tangible difference btw the opening balance and closing balance? ( this shows you were saving reasonable sums from your salary) and could have amass this POF from periodic savings

some salary, some yearly allw, some promotion allw, liquidation of mutual fund (but didnt include the liquidation letter and no reference to this)
yes there was a lot of difference; after all that came in

Did you show the source of funds?
Payslips if you receive salaries or invoices/receipts if you do business.
was the fund in your account from the start date when you printed bank statement and/or generated MBS ? For instance you printed bank statement from Jan - June, was the fund in the account before January?

There may be some peculiarity in the POF that was not quite convincing to the VO.
Kindly share so as to get the best of advise and also give room for others to learn

I provided payslips from sept 2021 to jan 2022 and the fund was in my account, used MBS. the fund was in the account before sept.

Did you proof your income source? And how long is your program and cost and did you make any tuition deposit?

Yes I provided my employment letter, work ID card, promotion letters, payslips etc
My program is 18th months and cost 35,000 CAD
5000 CAD deposit

That being said, I thought you had a loan from Mpower to pay the fees, why are you paying this fund yourself?

Yes I do have a loan approved. I have requested for the MPower approval letter so I can apply to the VO's refusal letter but have not received it yet.

IRCC made people to do nonsense with them. All you need us do is to demonstrate our funds if they are available in liquid form. How will you be telling us that the funds must be sitting there useless for at least 4months? How will you be telling us that 30m is not enough for a course that we know after calculating all expenses doesnot even reach 25m? How na? Its bad. Their schools even hold us to ransom by making us commit huge sums of money. Na beans? For most Nigerians, all these PR dreams you are talking about is not the koko, the first step is to comot and then gain some sanity. After that, if PR dream wan fall in place, no yawa. Na person wey dey alive dey reason PR.

@Teemenzo,
Its disheartening, I have more than 30USD, 7m in savings account and was refused for financial status and personal assets. Haba! with landed properties too. No sponsor, if not for my future generation, I should consider myself ok here in Naija.

Afternoon everyone please asking for a friend
She got PhD admission in Canada already (fully funded though) but wanted to travel with the her 2yrs daughter but not enough money in account (Less than a million naira) for them and no sponsor
She's considering Mpower loan if she can use it as proof of fund but don't know much about the process ,
Can those that have used Mpower loan please enlighten us how to do it and if it can be used and how much can she apply for
Presently not employed too
How can she go about her visa application pls
Also If Mpower loan can fly can she go with hubby and 2 kids then instead of just the small baby

Waiting for my experts and gurus advice
Thank you

Its easy, just fill the application and ensure you have some funds to show too. She should ensure she has good stand with credit bureau, has the necessary documents required and she is good.
