They’ve used their songs to entertain us. To excite us. To make us love them. While some brag about achievements and wealth they don’t have, others tells stories that touch (apologies to Falz Tha Bahd Guy) our hearts in order to get us to pity them. Unfortunately, many artistes tell half-truths or outright lies with their lyrics. Here are 5 examples of when Nigerian music acts misled fans with their lyrics…... 1. Davido -Fans Mi ‘I remember when I had no money in my bank account…’ Well, we think the only time David Adeleke had no money in his bank account was when he had no bank account. Why is he trying to embarrass his billionaire dad? 2. D’Prince– Who am I (Omoba)... We have searched from Umuahia to Arochukwu, Isialangwa to Isiquato all in Abia state but we couldnt get any traditional king related to Don Jazzy’s family. We even checked if there was any ruling family with the name, Enebeli but we drew blanks. 3. Skales –Emergency by Wizzypro ‘The only competition I have is Dangote....' Is this a joke or what? Sigh! Uncle Skales, please try and compete with Diamond Platnumz aka Chibu Dangote first and leave Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the richest Nigerian alone. Please. 4. Adekunle Gold -Sade ‘Ose tolo mo pe 30 o Sade (I clocked 30years last week)......' Chaiii, iro funfun balau (blatant lie). Adekunle Kosoko, better known as Adekunle Gold, is not even up to 25! 5. Wizkid -Ojuelegba ‘Ni Ojuelegba, dem know my story....' Now we all believed this tale until Tee A busted Wizzy. One wonders, why Wizkid had to lie when he possesses enough talent to make the truth as iconic as the signature phrase. We still love these artistes even if they lie to us because the lyrics they use tell us more about ourselves. Please tell us the lies you have detected in the songs by your favourite artistes... http://thenet.ng/2015/12/busted-5-nigerian-artistes-who-have-lied-with-their-lyrics/ |

gen2briz:Still far better than "check out tonto dike braless photo to AMAA award last night. Hit or Miss" |
OP! you forgot to add whr she said "his next pocket money is on the line". |
The second source added: “The thinking of the President is that most of those in this group, with the exception of Amaechi, have no political ambition in the nearest future. They are mostly experts who can deliver on the key areas of governance which can make the change he promised to the nation a reality. What Amaechi has going for him is vitality or energy to serve and knack for quality projects. That above statement seems true. I have noticed something. Those ministers during screening were being humble before the senate, most of this ministers have held high post in one way or the other. Chris Ngige (former gov and senator) BRF (former CoS and gov) Ameachi (former speaker and gov) Audu Ogbeh (Former PDP chairman) DamBazzua (Retired Top force man) And so many more. This is not an administration that will bring an "house-maid" to be Minister. #Gonearethosedays Chaaaaai! Nigeria My country. Our eyes don see sege for past. |
Codyt:Ooh! You are the OP? mtseeew! Emi o ma ni tym e laroo yin. |
Better threads are there wasting and this got to front page. Naw wah o |

tinktanker:See beta 3 point! If you can remember that they won it twice and Metuh cant but rather spew thrash or should i say decided to face another direction. He seriously need a professional course from an incoming minister. A simple reply of "we won it twice in one administration" for even given am walkaway point sef. His foolishness just started.....................2019. |
Chaaaiiii!!! PDP are learners. Just imagine what a Lai Muhammed will have said if it was to be GE's administration. Is that how to play opposition? What are we saying.............what are they saying? Mtseeeew! A ju rawa lo, tijakadi ko. |
Who brought that little kid to where serious national matter is being discussed. |
Now! i see some people's level of intelligence. Why are they saying saying it as if the whole Americans think PMB is slow. Ali Abare Abubakar wrote that article for Washington times. As a associated reporter from his own point of view and selected interaction with people. SO? |
